GOD'S GALLERY

In my wallet, I carry pictures. Pictures of people like my grandson, and my daughter. I don't have a picture of my son small enough to fit, and my three-week old granddaughter---I don't have any pictures of her yet. Pictures are great. When we want to show others the people who are really special to us, we can just whip out the ol' wallet and go through the gallery. Wouldn't it be neat if we could show them a picture of our heavenly Father, too? Since He's a Spirit, we can't of course.
But wait. Sure we can. WE are God's picture. We are how He shows the world what He looks like.
A huge responsibility. And exciting, too.

When Are You HITTING THEM OVER THE HEAD?

Most of us have heard the phrase, "hitting people over the head" applied to pushing our beliefs off on others to the point where they are pushed away.
My question is: WE want to influence the world in a positive way, so people want to come to church and to Christ. What's the best way to do it?
1.Tell your feelings/experiences
2. Prove facts (God exists, the Bible is God's Words, etc)
3. Just preach it! "You're lost! You need Jesus!"
4. Just live it. People will see Christ in you.

Going the Extra Mile

Summer's here! Wonderful! I love the heat! And I don't mind the extra work. I'm not talking outside right now. I mean shaving. Admit it, ladies, in the winter a lot of the time, we get away with only shaving to our knees or just skipping it. But I'm willing to go the extra--er--mile, and shave higher up during the warm weather in order to wear shorts.

Should Sex Offenders Be Allowed In Church?

In Some churches, if someone has a sex offense record, they aren't allowed to attend until they have a letter from their parole officer.
Should sex offenders be allowed to attend church without papers?
In Oregon, by the way, a 14-year old boy who has sex with a 12 year old can be arrested and on the sex offender list for the rest of his life. He gets a mandatory either 5 years in jail or three years and seven years parole.
The offender should have papers before coming to church
Church should be open to anyone
Let them come, but don't let your near them

Used to be,you knew what cursing was. If a person used something from the Bible--God, Jesus, Hell, etc.--flippantly or to express anger, they were cursing. Now, Someone uses the "sh" word or "f" word and people call it cursing. Are they all cursing? Are they all equally bad?
It's cursing only when something from the Bible is used wrongly
the "sh" word and "f" word are cursing too
they're all cursing, but the "sh" and "f" words aren't that bad

I Corinthians 11:14 Paul says doesn't even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? The whole Bible is inspired by God right? So what does this mean to you? Do you agree with this verse?
