After watching the news and hearing Hillary say that North Korea is not officially a state sponsor of terrorism I was yelling at the t.v!!!! What is it going to take before this president grows a spine!!! I guess test firing missiles and now holding two Americans hostage is not enough!!!! Can anyone say "Jimmy Carter"? How many months will he let this go on? Remember that it was only Reagan becoming president that freed the Iranian hostages. Well I guess if they are not technically hostages than they can't be called "hostages" Maybe in Obama speak we are calling them "unofficially detained persons of U.S. origin in a not official terrorist state" May the Lord have mercy on U.S./us!!
God bless

it's finally warming up

Hey;
It's finally warming up here in mid Michigan, and it's only mid May. It has gotten to 80 degrees on consecutive days, woo hoo. The sun is out bright and the humidity is low. The only thing is is that Friday it is supposed to be back into the 60's. We had to have the heat on at night up until a couple nites ago. And today I had to open some windows. It must be the global warming (sarcastic) My pastor says that if it gets any warmer we will all freeze to death. The only thing bad about the warm up is bugs, I hate bugs. THEY BUG ME!!! That is a good thing about winter. NO BUGS!! Oh, well I guess with each season comes its "flaws". The good thing is that I am still on this side of the grass. Which by the way had to be mowed again. God bless you all. When can we go out to the lake and have a picnic? Have a safe and happy Memorial day as we remember those that fought and died so that we might be free. LET FREEDOM RING!!!

Hey ALL;
I just wanted to give you all an update. My sister went home to be with the Lord Sunday Nov. 30th and we had her funeral on Wed. Dec. 3rd. I am so happy for her, because her 20 months of fighting cancer are over and she is pain free and in her glorified body!!! The funeral was a real blessing as the gospel was preached and hopefully seed was planted for others to come to know Christ. I am at such peace I wish others could have it. Please continue to pray for others in the family. Thanks for all of your prayers and support. God bless. Russ

Hey All;
I can really use some more prayers!!!! I talked to my brother in law and he said my sister is not doing too good. They have had to bring in a hospital bed and she is not eating. It sounds like she has been poisoned by the chemotherapy. He said they think two bile ducts are blocked, but they aren't going to do surgery. They think her liver is shutting down. Although she is a Christian and we don't want to see her suffer, some of us would rather she would go now. I hope that makes sense. She has already had a couple close calls with death. Her husband said that she is non responsive and kinda fades in and out. They thought she was going to die in Feb. when I went down to North Carolina to see her. Then, she had a spell where she was in a coma like state and had to spend time in the hospital then. She was pulled back from the brink of death that time. As weird as it may sound, I am not real upset because I know her reward is in heaven. My sisters and mom are going to have a hard time with her death if this is it. Please pray God's will that she not suffer and if it be so that maybe she can make another recovery. She has been dealing with cancer for over a year. Thanks in advance and God bless. Russ

Hey All;
Just wanted to let you know that I am still on this side of the grass. Ha Ha. I guess it has been a month since I have posted anything. Kinda been discouraged arguing by email with my friend of 12 years. He is mad because I left the pentecostal/charismatic movement. I believe the Lord was telling me to move on because this denomination was/is teaching false doctrines. I know I will get a lot of responses saying I am closed minded or judgmental blah blah blah. Believe me I have heard it all before to nausea. I guess it is like the scripture that says, "are we to be man pleaser's or God pleaser's." I THINK I WOULD RATHER HAVE MAN MAD AT ME THAN GOD, AMEN!!! My mom still is having panic attacks and just seems to keep me stressed out most of the time. Please be in prayer for me as I need to find a second job to pay my mom's property taxes. I have been taking care of her for 17 yrs now. Seems hard to believe that it has been that long since my dad has died. Went out to the cemetery for the first time since then when my friends mom died. She was buried in the same cemetery. I have also been fighting with Cavalier telephone over a bill. I tried high speed dsl thru them and my dial up from People pc was faster. They were wanting to charge me $166, I got them down to $53. I still don't think that was an accurate price, because the first bill was $36. Still, it is a lot cheaper than AT&T. Okay, it's going on 5am and I should get some sleep. OH yeah, I forgot, I had another birthday since my last post. I am 41 now. And for the second year we didn't celebrate it. I did later get a card with $20 that allowed me and mom to go out to eat, So I guess that wasn't too bad. I am supposed to be going up north in a couple weeks to a Christian retreat. I can really use a day to get out of Dodge. Will try to post more often. God bless. Puck

Hey All;
Can you please pray for a friend of mine? His name is Paul Barnes and he is a pastor. He has been fighting cancer for 6 yrs. They told him 6 yrs ago he had 6 weeks to live. He is a former Marine and a fighter and a big encouragement to a lot of people. He is in the hospital now with a hole in his lung and an infection of some sort. Pray God's will and if it be for him to go home that he will not have to suffer, but if he is to live that the Lord will give him strength. Blessings to you all. God bless. Pucky

cursing the bars or things of this world

Hey ALL;
I would like some feedback on this one. My sister who is a pentecostal/charasmatic and a big fan of Benny Hinn and the like says that we should "curse" bars and such places. She says when she drives by a bar she'll pray that they will be destroyed by floods or pests and have to go out of business. I believe we should pray for those that run such places and attend places like that, but to put a curse on them? She points out how Elijah put a curse on the that were teasing him about being bald and the bears came and ate them up. There are curses mentioned in the OT, but I don't believe this applys to the NT. What do you think? Please let me know. I think my sister is misguided on this one. God bless. Pucky

my dysfunctional family

Hey ALL;
We were supposed to have a picnic for my mom's 78th birthday but they cancelled at the last minute. I was not too happy about that. At 78 who knows how many more picnic's will one get to? They said they cancelled it because of a lack of interest, but I think it was because of selfishness and hatred. One group doesn't like the other group. One group wouldn't come because the other group wasn't planning on bringing any food and one in the other group said, "I'm not going to feed the whole family" There were others that were going to bring stuff, but they just got their hynny in the air about stuff. I guess that is what comes when a lot of them aren't saved. So much bitterness and unforgiveness. As a Christian, I get so tired of dealing with all of their crap. I know I have to continue to pray for them and love them. I just thought that was selfish not getting together for my mother. How many more birthdays will she have? Will any of us have? None of us are promised tomorrow. "Life is but a vapor" Life is soooo short. I just want to let out a Charlie Brown UGGGGGG!!!!
PLEASE PRAY FOR MY FAMILY AND FOR ME TO BE A GOOD WITNESS TO THE NON-BELIEVERS.
GOD BLESS.--PUCKY

grace and salvation

I know this subject has probably been preached for hundreds if not thousands of years, but it is truly a DEEP subject!!!!

Can a person lose their salvation? Believe me I have heard heated debates for both sides.

If a person dies in their sins do they go to hell? Is there scriptural proof for this or is this just a scare tactic by pastors and teachers etc? If there is proof of this please send me the texts.

If a person loses their salvation does that mean they were never saved to begin with? If a person's salvation can be lost was it a cheap salvation to begin with?

If salvation is a gift which I believe it is, would God take back His gift?

Would He turn away from us even though He says He would never leave nor forsake us?

Would He take back the value of the blood of Christ on a count of one sin?

Just where is the line/limit of His grace and mercy? Can we even begin to know what that limit is? If so, can we cross that line and play Russian roulette with our eternal souls?

Do any of us really have a clue just how deep His love is for us?

The Word says, HE HAS MERCY ON WHOM HE HAS MERCY and TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION.

I think it is not solely based on one act of time, one altar call, one simple prayer but a LIFELONG PERSERVERANCE OF THE FAITH, A DAILY DYING TO OUR FLESH AND LIVING FOR THE SPIRIT.

THAT IS MY OPINION, WHAT'S YOURS? PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS AND GOD BLESS. RUSS

death penalty-mans law vs Gods law

Hey All;
After some intense moments of fellowship in chat I want to ask you guys a question about the death penalty. As a Christian what should are stance be? I will play advocate for the other side for a moment. The other person was talking about grace, mercy, forgiveness and judgement. IF a person wants to kill somebody and doesn't but hates them are they a murder? The bible says YES right? So if a person actually kills a person should they be forgiven or be put to death? My stance was say at Virginia Tech or Columbine. If you were a teacher or a security guard and a Christian, would you be justified to kill the shooter? If someone out of their mind on drugs went to a day care center, killed several and had hostages and was going to kill more. If you were a Christian cop, a police sniper, would you kill him? Would you yell thru a bullhorn "Jesus loves you and He forgives you?" Should a woman that kills her baby and doesn't report it to police for weeks and there is the smell of death in the trunk, should she be put to death if found guilty? When as Christians do we take a stand and act or do we just keep preaching forgiveness and peace and love? Is there penaltys for murders even though they have repented and become Christians? Do you guys remember Carla Faye Tucker in Texas? She killed but became a Christian in prison and She said, "Even though I am a Christian and I know the Lord has forgiven me, I know I deserve to die" and she was put to death. So, what do you think? Would like some feedback. Thanks and God bless. Russ
