My Blog: Tell It LIke It Is

My blog is straight from my heart, whether my heart is in a happy place with God, or somewhere that it shouldn't be.

My blog writing is straight forward and completely honest; how I feel or think at the time that I write in it.

The word for the emotion I feel when I write is carefully chosen, but not necessarily the only emotion I'm feeling at the time.

My blog is definitely, and uniquely mine. It comes from the very heart of me.

More Blessings! :)

We Serve An Amazing God! UPDATE!! :)

What an amazing God He is! People, don't ever doubt His Word...what He said He would do in His Word, He meant; AND He meant for us to rely on it!...to RELY ON HIM for ALL THINGS!! HE IS ABLE!! He is our all in all...GOD. Amen!

Miracles are taking place once again in our lives. It started with hardship...pretty neat, huh! He brought me through the hardship to bring me to higher ground. WOW! What a God! What a Father! What a husband! I am in love with Him; He takes such good care of me.

Okay, so it started with everything in my life being at a stand still, or a stop. Nothing was working...chaos every way I turned. Finances were desperate. My projected bills for the month of May was +3 times more than my projected income for the month. It looked impossible, to say the least...an "Only God can do this" thing.

It was time for me to take a break in my "closet" with God.

Never deny yourself the time it takes to seek God in your very own special place...it's always worth the time to take off and go on vacation with God. He never fails to meet me when I give Him the time, and oh what a blessing; a refreshing of mind, body, and spirit!

One day and a night; that's all it took for God to breath His peace on me so that I could receive of Him what I needed, and be restored.

I awoke in the morning and went to the bathroom expecting to go back to bed, but God had better plans for me.

My bathroom, the place that became my "closet of prayer", where I have met God for years. I love to meet God before sunrise and enjoy my coffee with Him before anyone else gets up; in the quiet of the morning...the still of the day...my time with God.

As I came out of the bathroom, He popped 2 financial options in my head that I hadn't thought of on my own, and He filled my being with the most awesome peace...a new spring was added to my footsteps. And people, the ideas and plans have not stopped coming. Changes are taking place before our very eyes! It's exciting...never a dull moment! That's my God! He knows how much I like excitement, and hate boredom. He is awesome, indeed.

Needless to say, I didn't go back to bed Instead, I lived on a 'high' place before Him for the day. I haven't been the same since...life hasn't been the same. My step is easier, my burdens lightened, my faith & hope are restored, and my youth was renewed as an eagle...all in a flash; in a moment's time.

Refreshed? Absolutely! And nobody does it like God does!

If I could share the feeling with you here, I would...because it's not even possible to relay to you the awesome joy I re-began to feel that day.

TODAY'S BLESSINGS:
1. A part time job for me AND my 2 sixteen year olds and my 14 year old, AND a full time job for my 18 year old.
2. A pair of purebred Sheltie's, FOR FREE, to go with the other FREE female Sheltie that God dropped in my life on...GET THIS!...MY BIRTHDAY,April 26th! Isn't God just so cool!! My breeding stock!
3. This dream job is only 2 days a week, and pays well...AND our kennel is coming together!...something I've wanted to add to my farm. (TIP: God always gives bonuses when we let Him drive.)
4. The job is...GET THIS...at a kennel>> FREE TRAINING!! for what I don't know, and the boys will be pre-trained for me. SO COOL!
5. My job there will allow me to continue to work my farm, homeschool my boys, and run my other business, as well as providing the needed income to provide for my and meet my other obligations. WOW! I've been 'wowed' by God all week, but this job is nothing short of a miracle from God!
6. The job is located in a PRIME AREA for my electric business.
7. My sons' jobs are at the same place; we still get to work as a family...our dream job!
8. I have a new female friend...something all of us women need. LADIES, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE the power of your female friendships. WOMEN TOGETHER, can be a very POWERFUL PARTNERSHIP, if God is in the relationship, and it's a TRUE JOY for us to have (the bonus part!). Ladies, we need each other.
9. The foreman there seems to be someone I think my boys can learn from, and look up to...and I think this man will be fun to work with as well.
10. The place is ALL COUNTRY...our style. I don't have to dress up! (the bonus!) REAL COOL!! I can get dirty.

IS GOD NOT GOOD!! YES!! ALL IS WELL! IT'S ALL GOOD, OSCAR & ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS...IT'S ALL GOOD! IT IS WELL!! PRAISE GOD! REJOICE WITH ME AND MINE; OUR GOD IS TRULY AMAZING! SHOUT IT TO THE MOUNTAINS! For HE IS GOOD, and HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER! AMEN! YES, it does!!

If there was only one piece of advice I could offer to anyone who's having ANY OF LIFE'S down times, it would be, "Get in your 'closet' and pray. Take a vacation from life with your God...your Maker." He will make it the best vacation you could ever dream of...beyond compare to anything you could think up! AND it's free...the bonus.

What an amazing God He is!

I Love you all,
Karen & Sons

REJOICE WITH US! For He IS Good and His Mercy Endureth Forever!

Be still and know that HE IS GOD!

For those of you who haven't heard yet, today is OSTURN'S last day at BC.

He had wanted to write a farewell letter to the people he's met here at BC, but is unable to do so.

The good news is, I am in contact with him.

I am trying to compile a list of OSTURN'S friends. I could use some help.

If you are one of OSTURN'S friends, or know someone else who is, please email your contact information to me so that I can get this to him.

I don't know about ya'll, but I hate to see this man go. I think BC has lost a really great guy, and a true man of God. Just knowing he's here has been a great comfort to me; I'm gonna miss having him around.

I love you OSTURN.

Your friend & sister in the Lord,
Karen

It's amazing how quickly God can change things in our lives, including our own prospective.

Thank you all for your prayers, and care for me & mine.

Please continue to agree in prayer with us for a thorough break-through to God, or Him to me, whichever the case. I think it's usually the latter...He gets through to us when we seek Him.

I'm sorry for the backed up email; I don't want to spend much time on here, as the is shining today. His light is so brilliant that I just want to bask in it.

Already, I have stories to tell from this morning when His light shone through the clouds in my life, but it will have to wait. I don't want to miss a moment in His courts...we're not done yet.

Hope you all are doing well, and hope to share with you soon.

Love,
Karen

What else can I say?

I won't even try to explain...it's too much.

I am retreating to my prayer closet, and don't intend to come out without an answer of some sort from God. I hope you all understand.

I will return when the burdens are lifted, or at least somewhat lightened.

I do want to apologize to all my friends for not being able to be there for any of you right now. You've all been so good to me. I will do my best to make it up to you when I return.

Love,
Karen

The Heart Of A

Sometimes I think that God made just for the heart of a woman.

To be there for us when men let us down, don't have time for us, or can't reach our hearts at all.

They root for us when we need a cheering crowd.

They call us beautiful when we feel like we're not looking our best...they don't care, they just want to put the stars back in our eyes.

They smile so cheerily that it makes our hearts melt.

make time for us, and give of themselves freely & willingly, with ferver & devotion; without reservation or withholding.

Sometimes, their type of love and affection surpasses anything a woman can receive from a man.

A different kind of love that opens the heart of a woman to see the truth about herself and others.

A type of love that gives her total freedom of expression; complete, uninhibited, never intimidating self-expression.

There's nothing like the love of a .

Men could learn a lot from a , about how to touch the heart of a woman.

Listening, men?

I Will Praise You

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten , that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This is the day the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Be still, and KNOW that He is God. HE IS GOD.

He is my redeemer, my Lord, my Master, my all in all...the One who knows my every care. In Him, I will seek my strength, for He, and He alone, knows what I have need of...He will perfect that which concerneth me. In Him I place my trust.

My Father, my Healer, my protector, and my provider...the one who will sustain me in my sore displeasure, and ease the grief that overloads my mind, and crowds my heart this day.

I seek Him in my time of trouble, that He may be found, for joy cometh in the morning & mourning. He will sustain me.

I will not hide my tears; He will put them in a bottle...because I am precious in His sight, and my tears are seen by me Father in Heaven, and held as something dear to His heart, cause I cry unto & before Him...my Saviour, my Lord, and my God...my best Friend, who knows my every thought even when I don't have a clue.

Laughter doeth good like a medicine...Oh that you would bring Your laughter into my heart this day, and cause my face to shine.

Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Who filleth my mouth with good things, so that my youth is renewed as an eagle.

Joy cometh in the morning/mourning; so I will seek Him who will give me joy till I am full...joy like a morning dew.

I will praise Him, for He alone is worthy to be praised. I will give Him the glory due unto His name.

I will not fear, for what can man do unto me?

Let everything that hath breath Praise the Lord, for He is good, and His mercy endureth forever.

I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord...my Lord, and Saviour.

What time I'm afraid, I will put my trust in Him.

Whatsoever thy hand find it to do, do it with thy might.

Work, as unto the Lord.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper.

He shall bring it to pass.

My strong tower, my rock, my redeemer...I will run unto Him who will shield and protect me from harm.

His wing shall cover me, and under His wing I will find rest for my soul.

Arise and shine, oh my soul...for the Lord only maketh thine enemies to be at peace with you.

Lord, let me praise You, while there is breath in my being.

This is the day that the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.

His love endureth forever. He will never me nor forsake me. I am not alone.

Let not your heart be troubled.

Trust also in Him, and He will bring it to past.

I will abide in Him.

Karen

Somewhere out in "Blog Land", I have 2 missing posts from this morning. They were some of my best too!

You know this is really a nuisance. I really pour my heart into my postings, and it's irritating to lose them.

I suppose I should have taken the time to put them in a word processer sheet, but I was inspired and just wanted to write what was on my mind.

Once again, I didn't even think about the possibility of losing what was important to me to write about.

Oh well, maybe they'll show up later...I certainly hope so.

I wish someone could help me learn how to get my missing blogs back from cyber space.

Open for suggestions.

Karen

PS This one's going into my files BEFORE I post it.

From the heart of a 14-year old Young Man

After reading my blog, "Thanks to lksweet", my 14-year old had something to say.

In my post, I wrote:
How is it cheating, some ask.
Because your eyes are supposed to be for only the one that God gives to you to look at, and that is 'till death do you part.

My 14-year old has some advice for men who he respects as his elders. Following is what he had to say:

But Momma, you should add to the part about "'till death do us part'" that those words don't give a person license, in God's eyes, to lust after other people even after their mate is dead.

Not only would that not be fair to the woman (or man) that you will marry, but neither is it fair to the woman (or man) that you are lusting after.

And a little shall teach them. Let us all be willing to learn from ...sometimes they have more wisdom and understanding then adults who have lost their purity.

Karen lots of smiles for my

Let's All Be Friends...WANTED, Female Friends In My Corner :)

I would like to see more Christian women in my network of friends.

Ladies, we need each other for friendship and comfort.

I would also like to encourage the men in BC to communicate and befriend each other.

I believe by doing so, we can all be an encouragement and a blessing to each other, and in the long run better men & women of God; able to be more supportive of the opposite sex.

Sometimes it's not the company of the opposite sex that we need, as much as it is the same sex. Meaning, we need to talk to each other.

We can help each other 'keep in check' the things that each sex is most vulnerable to, and hopefully keep our brother (or sister) from falling into the snare of satan.

We can learn a lot from each other, and be of great comfort to others of our same gender, because we can relate better to the way we are, and the way we react and feel about things.

Never underestimate the power of friendships within our same gender. I believe we need the fellowship of both sexes.

Oh, and in case there's any "gutter thinkers" reading this, I am all woman...not a lesbian (or bi) bone in my body.

Let's all be friends,
Karen
