god's garage is a little ashamed to announce...
we now have karaoke.

the friday nite open mic has been slow, so i am tryiing to appeal to a wider audience. i bought a few karaoke disks on ebay, and it turns out i can display the lyrics onto the large screen TV that faces the stage.

i am learning that karaoke files use something called cd+g,or mp3g, and there is another kind of file too. so i am ripping all this stuff to hard drive so that i will have a big selection. a lot of the christian stock music is available free online in mp3g too, and i downloaded a few hundred of them. i ordered a few more karaoke disks on ebay, they don't seem to be really covetted items, they are pretty cheap.

so now, a victi...i mean visitor can look up songs on a laptop and choose one. they can even play guitar or whatever along with karaoke songs too. it is sad, but i get more than a few people that just want to sing praise songs. if i get them all on karaoke, i can make them happy.

i have a half a dozen guitars on hand, 2 electric pianos, electric drums, a bass, bongos, tamberines, harmonicas and even an electric air guitar. now we have karaoke. beverages and munchies are free, and i have a HUGE selection. i usually order pizza too. i have been resisting getting video games.

 i could rent out the store front and get $1G a month EASY. it is a big space and it is on a major business district avenue. instead, i use it to try to bring god into peoples' lives where he hasn't been, or hasn't been for a long time. it was no small miracle that god gave me this place. god gives us the desires of our hearts.

 i have a pong game that works on the big screen, it has actual ping pong paddles. but nobody who has visited has played it yet.

i have a BUTTLOAD of board games too. i am going to put in a shelf for them. i have a mind to maybe do a board game night once a month?

i have strict rules against alcohol or pot in the church. it has to be in the gangway or in my apartment. i don't really do playboy anymore? i have not seen one since i was featured in a photo in one when i played nekkid at nudestock in 2000. i did not make the pin up.
