I have a comfortable nature and at times can even be funny. I also have a serious side that contemplates the mysteries of the universe, the relationship between events, and occasionally wonders why my favorite TV shows are always cancelled. I am most happy when I am at service, in a lively conversation, traveling (self-proclaimed cruisaholic here), cooking, and/or napping. I tend to find joy in the simple things in life like finding the perfect curtains, talking to God, the smell of fresh cut grass and flannel sheets. My not so simple pleasures include power shopping without ever paying retail :-), rock lobster tails, and the Caribbean. I am mom to three - two girls 20 and 35, a who is 18 and grandmother to one gorgeous 11 year girl and 2 unknowns who are -6 months. For now we refer to them as Thing 1 and Thing 2 LOL. I plan on working for another 10 years (God willing). It's funny, Jesus led me to this site - I was actually doing a bible search and somehow landed here. So I figure, if not you, who? If not now, when?

My Ideal Person
I'm not convinced I'm looking for marriage but I do know I'm looking for a good partner and a very dear friend. I have neither the time or the desire to be a social butterfly...been there, done that and have the T-shirt to prove it. If you enjoy discussing the word of God, eating at a quiet restaurant or are willing to plan occasional dinners and fend for yourself when I am just too tired to entertain, I say we're on the road to compatibility. Likewise, I'm certainly a believer in compromise and am willing to be the giver. I'll be right up front about the fact that I have absolutely no interest in sports of any kind but have no problem if you have your favorite teams.
