(Insert eye catching, quirky [and yet humerous] introduction title here) // What to say about myself?
I am honestly at loss as to what to tell you that might get you interested in conversing with me.
I am a single mom, and a college instructor. I teach Psychology. One of the greatest classes I teach is on personal decision making. I love it because I get to teach techniques that help people make decisions based upon their values and morals.
I also love the great outdoors. My has a health condition that requires him to maintain high levels of physical activity to keep his system well-functioning.
I also think giving back to the community is important. I am planning on moving back to my rural town this spring on faith for this very reason. It's not very far from Portland Area. While I am still praying about it, I think God is leading me to open a Women's Ministry there.
My Ideal Person
It's hard to describe what I want, as I don't want to shut the door on someone because they don't 'fit' into what I want. Instead, I am going to put down a few things that are 'Deal Breakers'.
1) I must be safe with you. This seems obvious, but with reported Domestic Violence rates as high as 33% it's a really important to me. While one would assume that Christian men wouldn't do this, this is still the Internet.
2) No drugs/smoking. I am open to the occasional drinker.
3) Must love kids.
4) Must be able to hike 5 miles in the great outdoors. I don't need you to be in perfect shape, just a willing heart and ability to keep up with me on a hiking trail. I am willing to negotiate this if you are non-ambulatory.
5) Must not be obsessed with Bible study. I have had 32 years of it. I am big on putting what I have learned into direct practice, and supporting my fellow believers. My apologies to all of you if you find this offensive, but I am simply at a different stage in my spiritual belief.
I find that my time is better spent ministering to those in need through my actions, given the amount of study that I have already put in. This doesn't mean that I am adverse to it, it simply means that my focus is on ministering.
