Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is very important to me. Without my faith and my God, my life would be nothing. Honestly, I would probably not even be here, because I would have followed the prostitution life of my mother. I am so thankful to God for saving me and making me a real person. My road has not been easy, and I realize that HE NEVER PROMISED IT TO BE EASY, BUT HE DID PROMISE HELP WOULD ALWAYS BE THERE.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
"Fear not for I the Lord Your God, says to you, I will hold your right hand and help you." Isaiah 40:13 There are so many, many that come to mind, but this is the one that got me through some horrific times in my childhood and early adulthood. My second favorite would be the passages about if God so cared for the sparrow, how much more does He care for me. That is why I love the birds so much, they remind me daily of His love for me.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because without God in the relationship, there will never be any real joy in one. I have come thru too many bad times, to willfully choose a wrong partner now. God has to be first. If a person really loves God, they will not have a problem loving a mate. And being faithful to them.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in foster homes in rural, north Mississippi. Prior to foster homes in 1962, I was in Memphis, Tennessee with my mother. I moved to Texas in 1975, trying to reunite with my biological mother, but that never really happened. I never went on a real vacation until this past year (after I was 48) and I went to the beach in Alabama, went to Kansas City, Ks with my best friend, and went to South Korea with my choir at church for two weeks. I finally am beginning to live.! Praise the Lord!

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
My favorite activities is almost anything with other christian brothers and sisters. I just love being around people and enjoying cookouts, cancer walks, campouts, community volunteering missions. My favorite friday and Saturday evening activities is going to our Christian Singles Club and just hanging out......usually playing cards or dominoes with others.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I begin my day with my bible study and quiet time with God over a cup of coffee. Then I shower, make my bed, and clean the house and then to my favorite room of all....my sewing room. I design clothes and love to alter and design prom dresses and the like for people. So usually, if I am not at the sewing machine, I have some needlepoint in hand on the couch or on the porch.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I feel I am where I need to be emotionally, and spiritually, and am working on my self physically. I want to finish my book and get it published this next year and see it begin to help others. I would love to be able to start talking to groups of women and young teenagers, maybe helping them to know that God loves them and that no matter how rough their present is, that God will help them through it. I want to be able to spread some hope and peace to them.
