My friends describe me as funny,outgoing and affectionate.I dress up and down nicely, and like wearing pretty clothes and jewelry. I am a high energy person, and am involved with a wide variety of activities. I enjoy concerts and live music venues, good restaurants, great movies and having people over for dinner. I'm a good camper, if I can find a level spot. Rocks digging in my back all night are not my idea of fun. I like fishing as long as I don't have to do it. Something about that hook in a fish cheek that gets to me. Catch and release is another story! I think God made fishing so people like me could read and sketch in the sun. I like day hikes,especially to mountain lakes. I love nature, and the beach is great. I love to read historical fiction or well written history. I'm a traveler. I've been to Spain several times, as well as France, North Africia, Mexico, Costa Rica and Israel. I'm more cerebral than athletic, not that the two are mutually exclusive! I love attending major league sporting events. I was at the Dodgers World Series game where Kirk Gibson hit the homer against the A's and ran the bases with a tortured leg. Millions of people say they were there, but I really was. I'm an enthusiastic, cheerful person. I have wonderful friends, family, a rewarding career. God has been faithful, and I am grateful. Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Jesus has redeemed me. I owe Him everything.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
I like the one about God restoring the years the locust have eaten. He promised, and He has been faithful.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
My relationship with the Lord is who I am. There is no earthly relationship for me without this common bond.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. I've been around most of the USA (still haven't been to Hawaii!). I've traveled alot abroad. I was shocked at how much I loved Paris, and selfishly wish our current political relationships with France were alot better.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love to praise God in our worship services. I love walking, hiking, having people over for dinner and Bar-B-Q's,movies (not many that are out), videos, hanging around my deck, traveling and visiting museums and cathedrals. I love western Europe and western European history and languages.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Hmmm. September through May finds me in the classroom. I do have summers off, thus am a free agent during the summer!
What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I would love to go back to Europe. I haven't been to Italy and it's high on my list. Spiritual goal? When I meet Jesus face to face, I want to hear Him say "Well done, good and faithful servant".
