I grew up in southeastern Kentucky, of a Baptist preacher. As a young girl, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior and have strived to serve Him throughout my life. I attended the University of Memphis, where I received a degree in elementary education and taught young for 15 years. Later, for eight years, I taught in the Education Dept. at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where I met my husband. We were married almost 20 years when he became suddenly ill and passed away in February of 2002. I miss the conversation, companionship, and friendship of my husband & the opposite sex. Although I am now 64 years old, I feel like 30 and folks tell me I look more like 40 (I think they stretch this a bit:). I love life, and especially my relationship with the Lord. He is my BEST friend.
