My Ideal Person
When it comes to being in a relationship, I want someone who will accept me as I am. I don't want a man who will try to change me, but who will try to understand me and love me exactly as I am. I don't expect any man or relationship to be perfect (I'm not perfect). I'd like a David - a man after God's own heart who screws up, but knows where to go and what to do to set things right again. I want a man who knows what he wants - be it a friendship or a serious relationship. I've waited too long for too many guys to make up their minds....it's kind of like waiting for rain in a drought - seemingly pointless and discouraging. I like to take things kind of slow and get to know someone as a person and friend before progressing into a more serious relationship. I like someone who can talk about a variety of subjects and who can also listen well. I like someone to challenge me and stimulate me mentally. He has to love animals, like/want kids, and he HAS to have a good sense of humor! (cuz I'm a nut sometimes)

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is very important to me. Without God and my faith in Him, I don't think I could have made it through some of the things I've come through.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Isaiah 41:10 is my all time favorite - it holds a lot of special meaning for me. I also really like Psalm 25 when I'm feeling like I don't know where I'm at or where I'm going. In Psalm 25, David's in much the same plight.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
The most simple and straightforward answer to that would be that I'm a Christian and God is a big part of my life. I can't imagine being in a serious relationship with someone who didn't have the same beliefs and ideas that I do.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up in Florida until I was 10 then my parents and I moved to Kentucky. I've lived in KY ever since. I've been to or through about 26 states - almost every state east of the Mississippi and a few west of it. I've visited Washington, DC (the Vietnam Memorial and Korean War Memorial are awesome!) and would love to go back. I've also been to Niagara Falls, Gettysburg, PA, and San Diego, CA. I also lived out in Tucson, AZ for four months while I fulfilled my college internship.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I like to read and watch movies. I make jewelry and dabble in some painting and drawing. I also like watching football games, hiking, and horseback riding. At church, I like helping out with the youth and nursery on ocassion, and I like the Sunday morning services.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Let's see...Mon-Fri, I get up at 5am or a little after and get ready for work. I work from 8-4:30pm at the college. Some of that is office hours and some is interpreting in the classroom. Mon and Fri nights after work I go workout with friends, Tuesdays I am currently taking a basic Russian class (only for 9 weeks, then it's over), Wednesdays I either baby-sit my cousin (he's 4 yrs old) or go to dance lessons with my aunt. Some Saturdays I work at a coffeeshop in town, but most weekends are pretty free and sometimes boring.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Personal goals include improving my signing skills and vocabulary - cuz I know nothing about college chemistry! LOL I'd like to become somewhat fluent in Spanish and Russian, and mabye pursue that Masters in Linguistics. Spiritually, I'd like to get to where I'm reading God's word every day and being a more pliable lump of clay. *smile* I just want to be the best that I can be in His eyes and see myself the way He sees me.
