I love to play the piano although it badly needs tuning. I can hear this because I have a good ear. I enjoy inspirational and classical music, with or without vocalists. My reading interests are primarily nonfiction tomes in the fields of medicine, history, missions, and biographies. I do like Jan Karon's series on Mitford. and read through J.R.R. Tolkien's introductory book (The Hobbit) and his trilogy now on the screen. I majored in biology and technical writing in college and have done some writing over the years, along with lots of editing. I love the life sciences and, to some extent, other sciences. I am active in a singles group at church and the American Medical Writers Association. I've also been a part of the Council of Science Editors when I could afford it.
