I am a christian widow who is in need of a special friend to share weekends with . I have been widowed for four years, and need to start getting out more and doing fun things. my husband & I used to have a Goldwing touring bike and I really miss the weekend trips we used to take with friends. I am the mother of two sons and one , and have seven grandchildren who play a big part in my life. I enjoy gardening, flea markets and reading, picnics in the mountains and especially Friday nights in Jonesborough listening to the Music On The Square. Even though I'm a Grammie, I am very young at heart.

My Ideal Person
Looking for someone who is kind, sensitive and considerate, with good manners. The person I'd like to meet should be a christian first of all. Good health , and a non-smoker. Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is what gets me up in the morning, through the days and through the nights. Without my faith in my God who walks with me daily, I wouldn't be here today.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
the 23rd Psalm has been the most meaningful scripture to me

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
Because it is the only relationship that God wants me to have!

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up mostly in East Tennessee, went to live in Illinois for a few years, then to North Carolina. I have traveled from Maine down to Key West, over to El Paso, Tx, up to Washington State, out to Nebraska, Missouri, Indiana,Kentucky, Georga,Arkansas, almost all the 50 States, my favorite place to visit is the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Cades Cove.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I really love volunteering in our church library, and with the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Our Church is a host church for I.H.N. and I dearly love being a part of the network

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Right now, I have a sister who is recovering from cancer so I try to help out when she needs me, also I am limited as to how much strenuous work I can do because of an injury to my shoulder. I try to do all my own yardwork, grow flowers, volunteer when I can.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
My spiritual goals are to do what pleases God, sometimes I fail. To go alongside my fellowman & lift them up in their times of need, to be a friend to all, a good mother, sister, mother-in-law, and grandma
