My Ideal Person
Two things. I would need to be attracted to him. (The description below is just some ideas about what I am attracted to). The second is that he has a heart for God (and lives for Him). I believe it's that simple
I am attracted to a man who is confident in who he is in Christ and desires to serve Him and others. He is a man of integrity, kindness, humor and intimacy. It would be great if he liked reading, conversation, outdoor activities of all kinds, good food, good wine, music, children, dogs (preferably big happy dogs), cats, travel, and adventure. A 'handy man' would be another attractive bonus...at least he needs to know the difference between a Phillips and a flat-head. It would be amazing if he knew how to use a hammer, a garlic press, a computer, and a concordance (but I am getting carried away here
I am looking for a man who loves to play and savor abudant life..as well as buckle down and get the job done. He is wise, very smart (brillant even, resourceful, active, positive, and hopeful. He can face his (and my) human imperfections with compassion and perseverence. He may even be curious, affectionate, a bit of a risk-taker, an 'out-of-the-box' thinker, and physically fit. A few things that I am not attracted to: Legalistic thinking, judgemental or manipulative attitues, self-centeredness. (These things would seem to be obvious and not present in someone who has 'a heart for God' but sometimes one has to clarify
