My Ideal Person
I'm looking for a man who loves God first and foremost and maybe someday they could love me second. One that is kind and empathetic and likes children. I would love to have a partnership in which we can learn more about God together and encourage and support each other. That all being said, for right now I would like a good friend to spend time with, trying new things and having a connection based on friendship. I'm looking for someone who is not interested in rushing anything. Physically, I am interested in someone who places a high priority on physical activity...by no means are they are in perfect shape but they try. I tend to be old fashioned so I appreciate that in a man.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I hit rock bottom last year and the only way I continued living was by throwing myself at Christ's feet. My hope was to survive the first year after my divorce when actually God has enabled me to thrive. For the first time since I was 17 I did not have my husband to lean on.It is only God's Grace that has allowed me to forgive the people who have hurt me.God's Grace allows me to look in the mirror and no longer see a woman that is not good enough to be wanted but to see a woman that God made just the way He wanted.I just can't explain how I feel to be loved so much by a God that will never leave me.He has shown me that I looked to my ex-husband for love and security instead of God.How terrible.To replace God in my life with a human being.But what is so wonderful is that He has forgiven me for even that.I strive to know Him better and I cling to the promise that He has plans for me for good.I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and because of His sacrifice,we can have everlasting love,joy and peace in Heaven. So, without my faith I am useless.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
A scripture that is close to my heart is Isaiah 54:5-6. I was having a hard day and opened an email with this verse "For your Maker is your husband-the Lord Almighty is his name-the holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, he is called the God of all the Earth.The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit-a wife who married young, only to be rejected, says your God." and I Corinthians 10:13. "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man.And God is faithful;He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.But when you are tempted,He will provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I married with no regard for God. We had no common ground at all which was a determining factor in the demise of our relationship. It damaged us and our children. Being equally yoked is vitally important.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Ohio...always Ohio. When I was 15 I went to France for a week...it was great. I have been to Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Canada, Maryland, the Carolina's, Indiana, and Las Vegas. I loved going to Ocean Isle..it was the first time I saw the ocean...amazing! I also love the hills in Tennessee.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love the praise and worship music. I'm not a particular good singer...in fact I could be called bad, but I love it just the same. The minister, Alistair Begg, is a wonderful teacher. I'm meeting some very nice people there because the fellowship is wonderful.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Too mundane to mention. Single working Mom. That is all I need to say.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Lately, I have gotten out of the habit of daily reading my Bible. That needs to start back up and seemed to work best first thing in the morning. That would entail getting out of bed earlier. Also, this summer my daughter and I will be riding our bikes daily and I am part of a fitness challenge at work so losing inches, gaining muscle and becoming more fit are important goals for me. Another one is room by room, doing needed repairs and painting to my house. It was neglected during my marriage and I want to succeed now where I couldn't before the divorce by fixing the house up.
