My Ideal Person
I attend a local church called Crossroads. My relationship with God is a vital and crucial part of my life. I am an open-minded and liberal person. What would Jesus do? What wouldn't He do?
I am looking for a man who has the same type of outlook and reliance upon God. I want someone who does not just talk the talk, but walks the walk as well. The best metaphor I can use is to say that in the tapestry of life, God is the needle and I am the thread. How about you?

Favorite films: Anything by Woody Allen, Unstrung Heroes, Shadowlands, anything with Monty Python.

What are your favorite musicians or bands?: Too many to mention...I love music in general.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
My faith is the foundation of who I am, who I aspire to be, and how I live my life. I am pretty private about my faith. I do not want to be judged by others or to be categorized. Therefore, I try to show my faith by how I live versus what I say. The best metaphor I can use is: my life is a tapestry, and I am the thread and God (my faith and relationship with God) is the needle.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
My favorite of all time is Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you...." I also subscribe to something called The Daily Word. I read it everyday and it uses many different Bible passages as part of the daily readings. I really love it.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I want to share my journey and faith with someone and I see the faith part and the God part as being the foundation on which the relationship is built. I want to use faith and God in all of the relationship (celebrations, tough time, etc). I would love to pray with this person on a daily basis.

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up on several suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio. I have traveled throughout the southern part of the United States. I have been in the New England area a little and out West a little. I love the ocean and I love mountains. San Diego and San Franciso are two of my favorite places. I also love Vermont and upstate New York. I have been to New York City and this was by far the best place I have ever visited.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I like to go to the weekly church service. I like to help out and volunteer with the kids club program. I like to participate in group discussions and activities. Community service is something that I love to do with my church.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Daily: includes time to pray, read a meditation book, meditate and do some journaling. I try to exercise for at least 20 minutes almost every day. I work during the day. I attend a few meetings (12 step) each week. Some family time and some down time are part of my daily routine as well.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
Spiritually and personally I want to keep growing and being the best person I can be. I want to continue to grow in community (work/family/church). My faith gets stronger and deeper each day. My goal is for this to always be the case. I want to know more and more how much God loves us all and wants us to love one another.
