Profile for amatadei
I am Forever a Servant of Christ . I Seek a Fellow Lover of the Lord to Grow in Christ and in Love. // First and foremost, I am God's servant. Since finding Christ's love on the cross for me, it is His love and will that I hope I will always seek. I am constantly growing in my understanding of God and cling to His grace every second of the day. I am a music student at Peabody Conservatory of Music studying to hopefully become an opera singer, although I love all types of music!! I love to read, write, gaze wonderously at the sky.... God gave me a loving heart and a passion for the life with which He has blessed me. I want to share that with someone special.

My Ideal Person
I am looking for someone who wants to grow in Christ's love and share it, learning from each other and helping one another learn to serve God as best we can. I hope to find someone who will support me in realizing my dreams and allow me into his life so that I may do the same.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
When I came to Christ, it was begrudgingly, on my knees. I was so angry when I was younger and became an outspoken athiest, the kind that yell at the top of their lungs at anybody of faith. When I became a Christian, that darkness was replaced by the most amazing peace. It filled my life, filled my heart until it was near to bursting with love for everything and everyone and an excitement for life that I had never experienced before. God brought me out of that darnkess and showed me the beautiful thing that He has given me, this life. It is the most important thing in my life. I cling to my rock with every ounce of my strenght.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
"I love the Lord, because He hears my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live." ~Psalm 116 "But if we hope for what we do not have, we wait for it patiently." ~Romans 8:25 "You are our letter... written not in ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God, not on stone tablets, but on tablets of human hearts." ~2 Corinthians 3:2-3 "If God if for us, who is against us?" ~Romans 8:31 "For I know my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last upon the earth..." ~Job 19:25

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
It says in the Bible that we should not be unevenly yoked to unbelievers. And I truly believe that. There is a quote from one of my favorite books that I think says it best. It is said by a Christian to a non-Christian who wishes to marry her, "If I yoked myself to you in marriage, if I become flesh of your flesh, pleasing you would become the most important thing in my life... You would pull me away form the Lord... It would just happen in small ways that seem unimportant and, little by little, day by day, you'd pull at me until I was walking in step with you and not following the Lord." (~Hadassah, from A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers).

Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
I grew up all over the place-- Pittsburgh, PA, Salt Lake City, UT, Evanston, Il, Orchard Park, NY, and Hershey, PA. My family traveled quite frequently, both to visit extended family (my dad's entire family lives in California, my first mom's family in Long Island, and my second mom's family in central Pennsylvania) and for my dad's work. I've been to Hawaii, England, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy... I love to travel! However, as much as I LOVED the places we went, especially in Europe, my favorite place to visit was my grandparents' farm in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. It was so peaceful there and so full of love and happy memories. It was home.

What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
Music is my life, so most of my favorite activities involve singing. I sing solos and in the choir at church and also directed the children's choir. I love to share the gift of song that God has given me. I love to talk to people, to listen to them, to share with them. I love to take pictures and to read books and to attempt (emphasis on attempt) to write, myself. But, always, it is music that fills me up and it is must that I want to do most.

What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
As I am a student, my day is filled with classes. Typically, I have music theory, ear training, music history, choir, voice lesson, and diction classes, as well as opera rehearsals and coachings. When I am done, I return to the dorms to unwind with my friends, sharing our daily happenings and laughing with each other. In the evenings, there is usually a concert to attend or practicing to be done.

What are some of your personal and spiritual goals?
I am always looking to grow in the knowledge I have of God and His plan for my life. I want to read my Bible more often. I want to step outside myself spiritually and to pray for others more often instead of just myself and those that immediately affect or surround me. Personally, I want to become a more open person, not constantly making judgements in my head that are so very hard for my mind to overcome. I am loving and accepting, but sometimes people's actions are bothersome to me and then it is very difficult for me to put aside those feelings and realize that this too shall pass.
