I am a treasure hunter! (No! I don't literally dig for gold.) I find treasure in the everyday things of life. I am wealthy (not necessarily by this world's standard) but by God's alone. I see treasure in the simplest form.
I have found my greatest treasure in My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my solid rock on which I stand. I have been dealt some bitter blows but He has been faithful through the crashing wave and storm. He has healed my broken heart ... helped me to laugh harder ... to smile more ... and to love deeper. Finding Him is finding the Greatest treasure! I am a passionate follower of Jesus.
Like Him, my relationships are precious to me. I don't take them lightly and live to love large! I have found it a privilege to be called "MOM"! I cherish motherhood, spending time with my 9 year-old , and telling him about the faithfulness of our God. My is my greatest JOY! My girlfriends are like precious gems. We are to one another the arms of God lifting each other up ... with fun times and good laughs, (plus some hard cries)!
I am a beachcomber (particularly in the quiet off-sea). I enjoy walking on the beach looking for small treasure ... glass and stones washed by the sea, their hard edges softened by the blows of the ocean tide. They are little reminders of ME -- after all the pounding!
I have also begun to discover some buried "treasure" - deep within myself. God-given talents buried somewhere under the rubble of lost dreams. Treasures lost... now found! Today, and after many years, I now humbly call myself an "Artist". I desire to bring glory to my God through my artwork. Lately I have been painting on silk. I have a vision to create hand-painted silk canopies, worship flags and banners. The vision awaits the appointed time.
I teach art to ren ... what a joy ... and a challenge! I see treasure in purest form. I enjoy rallying around them to encourage their talents.
I also work on an interior design team, spreading beauty into the homes of others, with faux painting and customized artwork. I am an animal lover, sushi connoisseur, avid reader and movie watcher. Sunsets stop me in my tracks! My most romantic date would be a simple evening stroll, hand-in-hand, on a beach. I enjoy the spontaneity of jumping in the car with no particular destination in mind, just the fun of finding where the road leads.
