Somewhat shy at first, I'm basically friendly and down-to-earth. Close friends would say I'm playful, warm, and love to laugh. I'm curious and enjoy exploring other points of view about all aspects of life; I resist black-and-white thinking. With God's help, one of my greatest accomplishments has been successfully raising my three daughters while a single parent. I'm truly blessed that we remain close, supportive, and loving even though they've left the nest. I live with my devoted Sheltie "Michael," whose antics never fail to amuse me.
My Ideal Person
Though chemistry/attraction are essential, I seek a man who values taking our time getting to know each other because he also wants to develop a friendship with me. Christian principles guide his life. He has a compassionate heart and an open, inquiring mind. Humor, laughter, and good-natured teasing are important to him. He doesn't have to be "perfect." My ideal is an ordinary human being who tries to do his best each day.

Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Matthew 25:34-40. The Parable of the Last Day. We'll enter the Kingdom of Heaven not because we followed orthodox theology, but because we showed compassion for the hungry & thirsty, the stranger, the sick & the criminal. My favorite because it exemplifies Christ's most important message -- to love one another -- and shows us the path to Heaven.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Grew up on the South side of Chicago (Roseland/West Pullman). Left home & college when I was 19 to join friends who'd just moved to southern California. Never thought I'd still be here (they aren't)! I love New York City; it's a cliche to say I wouldn't want to live there -- but sure would love to visit again. And the people are very nice in spite of their reputation for rudeness. Indiana, Rhode Island, Washington, D.C. Would love to see more of the world.
