Well, like everyone else, I'm a slightly flawed Christian. :) I am curious about many things and love to read, exercise, and surf the Net. I cook, scrapbook, watch football, and try out new things. I try to travel when my budget allows and have been to about 20 states, Mexico, and China. If I had an infinite supply of money, I would set my parents up for life, get my doctorate in Psychology, travel, and help as many struggling folks as I could. I generally have a pretty dry sense of humor, am very analytical, but cry at silly things like the sappy stories on Extreme Home Makeovers. I'm a recovering control freak (ha ha) and am learning how to just let go of everything and turn it over to God. I usually read about 3 or 4 books at the same time which makes for a cluttered bedside table....other than that, if I had enough time in the day, I'd be pretty organized. I find myself to be pretty devoted to one or two friends at a time. Every living creature in my home is adopted, other than me (2 dogs, a cat, fish, and a little girl from China...oh yeah and some plants from Lowe's. :)
My Ideal Person
Someone who is confident, laid back, has a sense of humor and a strong relationship with Christ. A best friend, a prayer partner, a loyal companion. Masculine, not afraid of intimacy, but honorable and a gentleman as well. Someone with their own interests, but would like to share life and grow old together.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
I've been a Christian since I was 7...I don't really know life apart from a relationship with Jesus. Granted, it has changed and grown across my life, but I'm actually starting to look forward to the painful growth periods as I get to learn more and more about God's nature.

Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I just don't think you can have a healthy marriage without God at the center of it. Marriages and relationships are difficult sometimes even with God involved, simply because we're human and flawed. But a partnership without God just doesn't seem to make good sense or work. I also believe a spouse who has Christ at their core will be more likely to make the right decisions and choices in their relationship, despite other outside influencing factors.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
Born in Austin, TX and grew up in Georgetown, TX. I've been in Alabama about 9 years. I've traveled to about 20 states, Mexico and China. After being overseas, I've gotten the travel bug and would love to travel more if it becomes financially feasible. For regular vacations and weekend trips, I like to go to Memphis, Gatlinburg, Texas, and Orange Beach.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I currently participate in a women's Bible study, a Christian group for divorcees and widowers. Outside of church, I enjoy working around my house, reading, traveling, playing with my pets, writing, exercising, learning new things.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
Well that's changed a lot in the past few years. I was a Web Programmer and IT Manager at a bank that was purchased. So I've been in the process of being laid off. In the interim, I've been supporting a few businesses for a couple of friends at a local warehouse... so most weekdays I'm working in a warehouse and delivery of goods. I'm about to go back to work in the corporate world as an IT project manager.
