My goal is to let Jesus be seen in my daily walk. Some days I do extremely well and there are days I fall short of the mark.
I am a retired Education Administrator and am currently working as a missionary in Bacalar, Mexico, on a rotating basis. When I am not in the mission field, I spend time reading, playing the piano, attending church and non-church related activities, volunteering for worthy causes, and socializing with friends and family. I have 2 adult who are self-sufficent.
I engage in daily Bible reading and read inpirational literature. I try to stay abreast of current affairs by reading and communicating with others.
Friends and associates view me as very organized and somewhat reserved. I do strive for organization in my life and personal affairs, but do not feel I am excessive. I am a very friendly person, but am very selective about the people I share my inner most thoughts and ideas.
My Ideal Person
I would like to have a Christian friend who has great communication skills, is unselfish, and enjoys chruch-related activties, as well as wholesome, non-church related activities, i.e. movies, concerts. Racial/ethnic background is not a major issue for me. I am an open-minded person, who has always been able to relate to people from every walk of life. Education background is of some importance to me. For me learning is an on-going pursuit. I constantly try to keep my brain cells functioning by mind stimulating activities such as reading and substantive and meaningful conversation with friends and associates. Most important to me, however, is a Christian friend who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and whose Chritian beliefs are reflected in his daily life.
