I heard a rumor the other day that I would like to lay to rest. Southern Belles are alive and well, well hidden here in Dixie. Our manners are second to none. What we're made of is on the inside, so many pass by us without knowing what they've missed. Some are beautiful outwardly, but you have to look deeper than that. We are dedicated to God, our man, our and family. We work hard and smart. We know how to cook real food, not microwave miracles. We have what's known in the south as GRIT. No, not the grits we eat, but spunk. We stand up for what is right and fight against what is wrong. We are there in good times and bad. People are not disposable to us. We don't believe in making our men "tote the whole load" by himself. We are helpmates in every respect. We are loyal, giving, understanding, feisty, opinionated, loving, affectionate real ladies. To know us is to love us. To catch one of us for your own is a blessing, as we are few.
My Ideal Person
I'd like to meet a man who involves himself in conversation, not just a good listener. One who isn't afraid to express his feelings and affection, who is genuinely interested in showing his lady that she is important, and values her as a partner.
