I was born a poor white girl in Columbus, Indiana. My family moved to California when I was 6. I spent many summers in Indiana visiting my grandparents and going to the little white church in Garden City (very fond memories). I grew up in Southern California riding dune buggies and motorcycles. I was the only girl who rode her motorcycle to high school.
I moved to Oregon less than 2 years ago and am still unfamiliar to a good degree with my surroundings. It would be nice to meet someone who could occasionally show me the sites.
I enjoy traveling when I can. I've visited Hawaii often, and my favorite trip was to Alaska. It's just so beautiful. Went to Paris once...don't think I'll go back. Those people are just rude!
I'm kind of a home body. I haven't minded too much the Eugene rain. I just start cooking comfort foods or watching a movie. It hasn't been bad. Plus it makes everything grow and look so beautiful. How can one complain?!
My family is important to me. My parents live in Oregon. And I stay in touch with family around the country.
Well, I'll have to write more later.
My Ideal Person
I'd like to meet a man who is happy in life and finds that spending time with me adds to his joy. I'd rather not meet someone who is looking for the one who "completes" them. As I've grown up, I've come to realize that I complete me. I don't mean to sound selfish, I just really believe that it's something we do for ourselves, and looking for someone else to do the job is a mistake.
I'd like to meet someone who enjoys going to movies, seeing the countryside, picnics, dining out and even cooking at home. Oh, even someone who CAN cook! I enjoy music (jazz and blues), but I'm not too thrilled with country western. It's just too whiney sometimes.
I must admit that I enjoy my time to myself, so I'm looking for someone who understands that and isn't looking for someone to be with 24/7.
This man would also have to have a good sense of humor because I love to laugh.
