I currently work full time in Customer Service for a large company.
I am active in a teaching/counseling ministry at my church. This is my passion and what I went back to college to further my education in.
I am very much a people person but also am comfortable with having alone time. Activity wise I enjoy a good movie, trying out new restaurants. I also enjoy walks on the beach--not a cliche, I really do. smile. I love taking day trips and seeing the sights.
At home, I enjoy cooking. I also like to read a variety of books and magazines. I read about people related issues and research the scriptures to show the ladies I work with at church just how very relevant the Bible is to our problems and issues today.
I am a free lance writer and have submitted some articles to Christian magazines.
I also like a good mystery book or perusing through a Ladies magazine for decorating ideas or new recipes.
I love just about all animals... partial to cats.
I have been a committed Christian for some time. I have a close walk with the Lord and the Bible is the authority for my life.
I am outgoing and positive by nature. However, I would like some company as I try to learn how to navigate in this new land (at least to me) of "being single again".
My Ideal Person
I like a man who is sure of who he is and what he stands for. It is important that a person that I were to consider dating would be a Christian, beyond just church attendance.
I like a man that enjoys trying new things and places. Someone that is a Christian but not a "stuffy Christian".. in other words, I believe Christians should be fun to be with also.
I like to spend time with a person who has a good sense of humor... someone I can "sing in the sunshine and dance in the rain with.
Of utmost importance to me is honesty. I like a man who is himself and tells me just what he believes regarding email questions we might ask or discuss. I would rather know where someone stands then to be misguided because they did not want to hurt my feelings.
I would like to meet someone who would join me in this adventure of discovering the New Horizon of being single again.
If being single again is not a New Horizon for you, perhaps you can help show me the "ropes", so to speak.
