I am a single schoolteacher and it's not a profession where you meet a lot of men. I love my middle school students. I also love music and the theater. I love to watch movies or go camping or hiking. A couple of my favorite TV shows are NCIS and Numbers. I play guitar and sing. I like to read and am learning to garden. I have lived all over the world since my dad was in the military. I'm settled in Arkansas and have a great local church and a wonderful pastor.

Please describe your faith. How important is your faith to you?
Jesus is my reason for living. I read my Bible daily. I always want to improve in my prayer life. My faith is the most important thing to me.
Which Scripture verses are most important to you?
Isaiah 41:10 is my "life verse". I also love the Psalms because they are so comforting. 2 Corinthians is my favorite book for encouragement in ministry. I like Isaiah for the same reason as Psalms. I do believe that we need all of the Word. At my church, we read the Bible through together every year.
Why is a Christian relationship so important to you?
I'm not sure if this question is talking about my relationship with the Lord or my relationship with a potential mate. I'll try to answer both. Jesus is alive and I believe that He wants a daily relationship with us. He wants to talk to us about the details of our lives. He wants us to be His hands and feet here on the earth and He wants to help us do that.
I could have no real relationship with someone who did not believe the same way. God has a purpose for my life and I want to serve Him with someone whose purpose is compatible with mine.
Where did you grow up? Where have you traveled? What are some of your favorite places to visit?
My dad was an Air Force pilot, so I grew up all over the world. I've lived in Oklahoma, California, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Japan, and Germany. While in Europe (I was high school age then), we took trips to neighboring countries. I thought Switzerland was especially beautiful. I've lived in Arkansas since I was 24. It truly is one of the most beautiful states. Sometimes I miss snow, but I love having four seasons and the warmer weather. I love to visit my sister in California when I have vacation time - the weather there is wonderful and so much to see. My ideal vacation would probably involve a beach or something in nature. I tried a cruise last summer and didn't really care for it.
What are your favorite activities both at Church and outside?
I love serving on my church's worship team. I sing background vocals. I work with the children at church, also, and take my turn helping to clean the church. We have a weekly ladies meeting where we read the Bible and share what we gleaned from it. Church is my main social outlet and where I find most of my friends.
Outside of church, I try to spend time with my parents or I go see a movie with a friend, or I just work at home. I'm trying to tackle landscaping my overwhelming yard.
What is your day like? Describe your daily routine.
I get up around 5:30 and leave at 7:00. I pick up a friend's son and take him to school with me, arriving there at 7:30. Classes start at 8:00 and I teach 5 of the 7 periods each day. The other two periods are for planning and grading. I've gotten to the point where I don't have to bring a lot of schoolwork home, but I work hard while I'm there. I can leave at 3:30. I either run errands or exercise on my way home, putting me home around 5 pm. I fix a quick dinner and watch some TV. I'm in bed by 9:30. Boring life, huh?
