remind me never to accept something that 'doesn't exist yet' again......
my deaf friend and I are both cheeky and optimistic.......a bit like Penelope.....lol
last Sunday evening Donna called to invite me on this adventure.......I still don't know if she has got the time off work and etc etc......we are planning on travelling 4000 km [return]...so that is a lot of gas and etc etc to budget for if we are not going......
I'm the plan ahead and detail person....she makes plans and gets excited then waits to see what happens....
as some know; I have little success finding quality help to have fun with my , and she is fabulous with my deaf with autism.

No matter what the weather, no matter what you have planned.... YOU have the ability to make it a good day. Instead of cereal and milk, maybe you should start your day with a bowl of thankfulness, served with a heaping helping of prayer...... Have a glorious -filled day!

Hope opens doors where despair closes them. Hope discovers what can be done instead of grumbling about what cannot. Hope draws its power from a deep trust in God. Hope "lights a candle" instead of "cursing the darkness." Hope regards problems, small or large, as opportunities. Hope cherishes no illusions, nor does it yield to cynicism. Hope sets high goals and is not frustrated by repeated difficulties or setbacks. Hope pushes ahead when it would be easy to quit. Hope puts up with modest gains, realizing that "the longest journey starts with one step." Hope looks for the good in people instead of harping on the worst.

YOU WILL NEVER BE SORRY... Author Unknown Jul 22 2008
...for thinking before acting. ...for hearing before judging.
...for forgiving your enemies. ...for being candid and frank.
...for helping a fallen brother. ...for being honest in business.
...for thinking before speaking. ...for being loyal to your church.
...for standing by your principles. ...for closing your ears to gossip.
...for bridling a slanderous tongue. ...for harboring pure thoughts.
...for sympathizing with the afflicted. ...for being courteous and kind to all.

the big meeting went well today
the first one solidified my lack of faith in anything existing to help my . [18 years old with autism, add, tourettes and he's profoundly deaf]
the second meeting was outstanding....the clinic director who provides our private autism consultant and the childrens' foundation ceo and I will come up with a proposal shortly to present to the authorities to get my what he needs

sorry this is a bit jumbled but I am stressed.
we are busy preparing to work towards moving my older to a teaching home. [Just the fact that the staff cannot communicate with him except rudimentary communication is very troubling.] he is deaf and signs fluently but the staff are not required to sign [expect employer to pay them to learn]
however, my situation has required a lawyer [and court case] to keep porno from him in that group home [meanwhile]....it is still difficult to enforce but certainly a deterent...he is adult now but emotionally like grade one.
