This is a repeat post, I saw this again today and was touched by it again and wish to share it.
by Louise Knight Wheatley
There was a time when in my daily prayer I asked for all the things I deemed most fair, And necessary to my life -- success, Riches, of course, and ease, and happiness; A host of friends, a home without alloy; A primrose path of luxury and joy, Social distinction, and enough of fame To leave behind a well-remembered name. Ambition ruled my life. I longed to do Great things, that all my little world might view And whisper, "Wonderful!"
Ah, patient God,
How blind we are, until Thy shepard's rod Of tender chastening gently leads us on To better things! Today I have but one Petition, Lord -- Teach me to love. Indeed, It is my greatest and my only need -- Teach me to love, not those who first love me, But all the world, with that rare purity Of broad, outreaching thought which bears no trace Of earthly taint, but holds in its embrace Humanity, and only seems to see The good in all, reflected, Lord, from Thee. And teach me, Father, how to love the most Those who most stand in need of love -- that host Of people who are sick and poor and bad, Whose tired faces show their lives are sad, Who toil along the road with footsteps slow, And hearts more heavy than the world can know -- People whom others pass discreetly by, Or fail to hear the pleading of that cry For help, amid the tumult of the crowd; Whose very anguish makes them cold and proud, Resentful, stubborn, bitter in their grief -- I want to bring them comfort and relief, To put my hand in theirs, and at their side Walk softly on, a faithful, fearless guide. O Saviour, thou the Christ, Truth, ever near, Help me to feel these sad ones doubly dear Because they need so much! Help me to seek And find that which they thought was lost; to peak
Such words of cheer that as we pass along The wilderness shall blossom into song. Ah, Love divine, how empty was that prayer Of other days! That which was once so fair -- Those flimsy baubles which the world calls joys Are nothing to me now but broken toys, Outlived, outgrown. I thank Thee that I know Those much-desired dreams of long ago, Like butterflies, have had their summer's day Of brief enchantment and have gone. I pray For better things.
Thou knowest, God above, My one desire now --Teach me to love.

URGENT RECALL NOTICE
The Maker of all human beings is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.
This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve from having been tampered with, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units.
This defect has been technically termed, "Sub-sequential Internal Non-morality", or more commonly known as SIN, as it is primarily expressed. Some other symptoms: 1. Loss of direction 2. Foul vocal emissions 3. Amnesia of origin 4. Lack of peace and joy 5. Selfish, or violent behavior 6. Depression or confusion in the mental component 7. Fearfulness 8. Idolatry 9. Rebellion
The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this SIN defect.
The Repair Technician, Jesus, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required. The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure.
Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.
No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:
1. Love 2. Joy 3. Peace 4. Patience 5. Kindness 6. Goodness 7. Faithfulness 8. Gentleness 9. Self control
Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (Believers Instructions Before Leaving Earth), for further details on the use of these fixes.
WARNING: Continuing to operate the human-being unit without correction, voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list, will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on JESUS.
DANGER: The human-being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility.

Is your veil removed

All of us have had the veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the Glory of God
2 Corinthians 3:18 (Amplified Bible) 18And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

Attention: This is Only a Test

Micca Monda Campbell "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Luke 12:34 (NIV) Devotion: Say the word "test" and most people cringe. That's because tests bring undue stress and pressure that we'd rather live without. Nonetheless, tests have many purposes. They analyze our intelligence or skill; determine what we have learned, and reveal who we are. Then there are spiritual tests. They often try our faith and commitment to God.
Remember the story of Abraham and his beloved , Isaac, found in Genesis chapter 22? Pause to read it if you haven't. Through Isaac God was going to build a nation! Can you imagine the pride Abraham must have had for his ? Nothing makes me prouder than to see one of my succeed, and Abraham knew God had great plans for his . What on earth could go wrong--especially with a promised ?
You and I both know a lot can go wrong. We've probably stood in Abraham's sandals once or twice in our life times too. And like Abraham, we've clung to the promises of God. Yet, sickness lingers, financial troubles invade, friends betray us, and eventually death calls. How do we respond?
Abraham responded with great love, trust, and commitment when God asked for his only to be sacrificed. Don't think it was easy for him. Just because you and I know the outcome of the story doesn't mean Abraham did. He had to trust God every step of the way. Abraham's mind must have been plagued with thoughts such as, "This doesn't make sense, Lord." "You promised, Lord." "Help me, Lord."
Determined to obey God no matter the cost, Abraham prepared to take his 's life. In that dramatic moment, and just in the nick of time, God called from heaven and released both the and Abraham from the test.
It was only a test. God never wanted the death of Isaac. He wanted the surrendered heart of Abraham. Just as God planned, the test revealed Abraham's undying love and commitment to God. I believe that Abraham's faith was expanded too that day in the sufficiency and care of his loving Father. Unfortunately, this is an area God will always test you and me. More than anything God wants our whole and committed hearts. As painful as some tests are, God is using them to grow us into all He has designed us to be. When our trials don't make sense, we can trust God. He has promised to set limits on our trials--to walk with us in the midst of them, and to bring forth good.
The question for you and me today is this. When God doesn't behave like we think He should, when it seems like He has turned the other way and broken every promise, will we still love and trust Him?
When the pregnancy test is negative, will you still love Him? When your loved one dies, will you still love Him? When the job interview falls flat, will you still love Him? When no treatment can be found, will you still love Him?
Dear Lord, I'm guilty of chasing your blessings more than chasing after You. You are all I need. I recommit my heart to you and I will trust you in my present situation. May your will--not mine--be done, In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Application Steps: Recall a past circumstance that required trusting God even though it didn't make sense. Remember His faithfulness during that time and then commit to trusting Him in your present situation. Reflections: What do you think God is trying to accomplish through this difficult time in your life? What do you need to do to pass the test? Power Verses: Matthew 28:20, "and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV) Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (NIV) 1 Peter 4:12, "Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you." (NIV)

You play nice over the weekend while I am gone, (hmm so I am all nice and refreshed, massaged, facialed, manicured, mountains, fresh air) and I will see you all again on Sunday or Monday.
I will be leaving to this awesome place in the Drakensberg, the one in the pic, in the morning.
Blessings Sonia

Cartoonist's Comment: God's grace and goodness is falling down all around us, but we can only receive it when we repent of our sins, and accept by faith the forgiveness of our sins that is offered to us through the blood of Jesus.

SIN

Cartoonist's Comment: Temptation may seem harmless, but it will lead to sin, which is not harmless at all. If we confess our sin, we will be forgiven (I John 1:9), but that doesn't mean that we will escape all of the consequences for our sin.

HE DID. But some of them won't leave!
Cartoonist's Comment: The Good News is that the pardon for your sins has already been given. But you need to accept it by faith.

Ready or not, here I am...

Good morning world, ready or not, here I am.
I am too blessed to be stressed
Lol, loved this:
An elderly man in Winklespruit calls his in Cape Town and says, 'I hate to ruin your Christmas, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; 35 years of misery is enough.'
'Dad, what are you talking about?' the screams.
'We can't stand the sight of each other any longer,' the old man says.
'We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in England and tell her,' and he hangs up.
Frantic, the calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. 'Like heck they're getting divorced,' she shouts, 'I'll take care of this.'
She calls her dad immediately, and screams at the old man, 'You are NOT getting divorced!
Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back,
and we'll both be there on Friday. Until then, don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?' and hangs up.
The old man hangs up and turns to his wife.
'Okay,' he says, 'they're coming for Christmas and paying their own airfares.'
