Then that promise is for you!

An optimistic attitude is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. The way you look at life will determine how you feel, how you perform, and how well you get along with other people.
Conversely, negative thoughts, attitudes, and expectations feed on themselves; they become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Pessimism creates a dismal place where no one wants to live.
The Bible says in Romans 8:28,
“All things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Do you love God?
Then that promise is for you! For you He can turn bad to good and help you find the silver lining in any cloud He allows to overshadow you.
So don’t let those clouds stay there for long!
If you want to have a change in attitude, ask God to show you the good side, the beneficial side, the favorable side, THE POSITIVE SIDE TO SITUATIONS!
For everything that happens in a person’s life, there is a reason, and there is help from Above. So if you feel you are getting swamped with negative thoughts, that you can’t help but think in a despairing, hopeless way, ask God to show you the “upside” of the things that are happening to you.

Make my life a prayer to You I wanna do what you want me to No empty words and no white lies No token prayers no compromise
I wanna shine the light You gave Thru Your You sent to save us From ourselves and our despair It comforts me to know You're really there
Chorus Well I wann thank you know For being patient with me Oh it's so hard to see When my eyes are on me I guess I'll have to trus And just believe what You say Oh you're coming again Coming to take me away
I wanna die and let You give Your life to me so I might live And share the hope You gave me The love that set me free
I wanna tell the world out there You're not some fable or fairy tale That I've made up inside my head You're God the and You've risen from the dead
Chorus
I wanna die and let You give Your life to me so I might live And share the hope You gave me The love that set me free

The Responses to Acting like a gentleman poll was quite surprising. Looks like chivalry is not dead after all. (Who voted I am nuts LO
I deserve to be treated like a lady but the gentleman post is going overboard1 I deserve to be treated like a lady and will not settle for less than the gentleman post 9
I deserve to be treated like a lady and will settle for some of it 2 I take it as it comes 1
I am a man and think you are nuts 2 I am a man and will take it to heart 2 I am a man but that is taking it too far, I will take some into account 1

Sensitive content: Be warned

Well, I received this via email and did not know if I should share it. Please feel free to comment.
It's important for us men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they were younger. When you begin to notice this, try not to yell at them.
Some are oversensitive, and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman.
Let me tell you how I handled the situation with my wife, Amy.
When I retired a few years ago, it became necessary for Amy to get a full-time job along with her part-time job, both for extra income and for the health benefits that we needed. Shortly after she started working, I noticed she was beginning to show her age.
I usually get home from the golf club about the same time she gets home from work.
Although she knows how hungry I am, she almost always says she has to rest for half an hour or so before she starts dinner.
I don't yell at her. Instead, I tel l her to take her time and just wake me when she gets dinner on the table.
I generally have lunch in the Men's Grill at the club, so eating out is not a practicable alternative.
Besides, I'm ready for some home-cooked grub when I hit that door.
She used to do the dishes as soon as we finished eating. But now it's not unusual for the dishes to sit on the table for several hours after dinner.
I do what I can, by diplomatically reminding her several times each evening that "they won't clean themselves." I know she really appreciates this, as it does seem to motivate her to get them done before she goes to bed.
Another symptom of aging, I think, is complaining. For example, she'll say that it's difficult for her to find time to pay the monthly bills during her lunch hour.
But, boys... we take 'em for better or worse, so I just smile a nd offer encouragement.
I tell her to stretch it out over two or even three days. That way she w on't have to rush so much.
I also remind her that missing lunch completely now and then wouldn't hurt her (if you know what I mean).
I like to think tact is one of my stronger points.
And when doing simple jobs, she seems to think she needs more rest periods.
For instance, she had to take a break when she was only half-finished mowing the yard.
I try not to make a scene. I'm a fair man. I tell her to fix herself a nice, big, cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade and just sit for awhile.
And, as long as she is making one for herself, she may as well make one for me.
I know, I know..... I probably look like a saint by the way I support Amy.
I'm not saying that showing this much consideration is easy. Many men will find it difficult. Some will find it impossible. Nobody knows better than I do how frustrating women get as they get older.
However guys, even if you just start usi ng a little more tact and a little less criticism of your aging wife due to this article, I'll consider that by writing it, it was well worthwhile. After all, we are put on this earth to help each other. Good luck.
Signed, Bill
EDITOR'S NOTE:
Bill died suddenly on April 15 of a perforated rectum.
The police report says he was found with a Calloway extra-long 50-inch Big Bertha Driver II golf club jammed up his rear end, with barely 5 inch es of grip left showing, and a sledgehammer laying nearby.
His wife Amy was arrested and charged with murder.
The all-woman jury took only 15 minutes to find her Not Guilty.
They accepted her defense that Bill, somehow, without looking, accidentally sat down on his golf club.

Mighty Men 2008 - 67000 men gathered on Angus Buchams "Faith like potatoes" farm in Greytown.
This year's theme: Dying to live
I know miracles happen when the women of God starts praying, can you imagine what happens when men of God starts taking up their rightful place.
I am getting testimonials from people all over after the men's conference. Women declaring that their husbands are taking up their roles of the heads in their homes.
One of thousands of testimonies that made me cry with joy: What a LIFE-CHANGING experience!! GOD saved many souls this past weekend through the testimony of HIS warrior, Angus Buchan. PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY!! The revival has begun, our nation and country will be healed. AMEN!

Flue. A lot of you guys have been there as I see in the blogs. Well, our winter is starting only now.
I do not get sick. Flue for me is a day of maybe a bit of a blocked nose, head feeling stuffed with cotton wool and somewhat groggy. That's it, rarely go beyond a day.
Well, I had my day yesterday and thought it was over.
This morning however, I woke up and could barely breath, sore throat and now feverish. Stocked up on additional vitamins. I do not like antibiotics, but decided to start some as a precaution.
I am going to test the theory on Peroxide treatment. According to the ones in the know, it is a miracle cure. Cannot drink it due to the antibiotics, but are going to use it in a nebulizer. It helped within seconds this morning. Going to give it a try for a few days and see.
It looks like most people who contracted flue recently, stayed sick for about 2 weeks. Then still a lot of coughing for another 2.
The boss insisted that I stay in bed this morning, who am I to argue?
Gives me time to work on Zendor's CV, never realized what a versatile man he is.

One day I decided to quit!

One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have on last talk with God.
"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?" His answer surprised me... "Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied.
When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said. "In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. "I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant... But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He said to me. "Did you know, my , that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots."
"I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. " Don't compare yourself to others ." He said. " The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern . Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."
Your time will come, " God said to me. " You will rise high! " How high should I rise?" I asked. How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return. "As high as it can? " I questioned. " Yes. " He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can. " I left the forest and bring back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
He will never give up on you. Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness Bad days give you experiences; Both are essential to life. Keep going... Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong, Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you humble, Success keeps You Glowing,
but Only God keeps You Going!
