I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Amy Grant- Behind The Eyes
Track : I will be your friend

When every moment gets too hard
End of the road can feel so far
No matter how much time were apart
I'm always near you

I'll be the shelter in your rain
Help you find your smile again
I'll make you laugh at a broken heart
Wherever you are

'Cause I'm never gonna walk away
If the wall comes down someday
All alone and you feel afraid
Be there when you call my name
You can always depend on me
I believe until forever ends
I will be your friend

So many people come and go
But nothing can change the you I know
Youll never be just a face in the crowd
And time will show

Through the seasons and years
I will always hold you dear
Never you fear
(chorus)

I'll be around when every candle burns down low
And I want you- and I want you to know

(chorus)
'Cause I'm never gonna walk away
If the wall comes down someday
All alone and you feel afraid
Be there when you call my name
You can always depend on me
I believe until forever ends
I will be your friend

(final chorus)

I think this is one of the best songs ever about being a loving friend... since I was 14 Amy has been my musical mentor... what a blessing her music has been in my life! I hope this song blesses and touches your life as it has mine.

It cuts like a knife… this pain
Having no mercy- it claims my soul
It binds my heart with a chain
To rule my life- it’s final goal

Victory is mine to take…
…but doubts begin to engulf my mind
Tears flow and it’s all I can take
Hope it seems is so hard to find

Where is the love my heart knew…
…the joy and freedom of yesterday?
Love was alive and it grew
…but now it leaves a shadow of grey

But my Jesus outshines it all… and I know-
He hears me- He hears me when I call
He’ll see me through every step along the way
And lift me out of this shadow of grey
Lord, lift me out of this shadow of grey

When "it's all good" and I think I've got it made
When the laughter and love have started to fade
When you show me your kindness in a loving smile
When I need to be held in your arms like a

Your Love always burns like an endless flame
In good times and bad your Love is the same
I know you're with me when road gets too rough
Your Love is so real and it's always enough

When the sky is blue and the sun shines down
When I'm feeling lucky and I act like a clown
When the wind blows hard and the clouds roll in
When life is unsure and I've just fallen again

You give me reassurance when I don't understand
You hold me so close in the palm of your hand
Some days are good and some days are just tough
No matter what happens- your Love is always enough

Song of Solomon 2

Beloved)

1 I am a Rose of Sharon,
a lily of the valleys.
Lover)
2 Like a lily among thorns
is my darling among the maidens.
Beloved)
3 Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest
is my lover among the young men.
I delight to sit in his shade,
and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
4 He has taken me to the banquet hall,
and his banner over me is love.

5 Strengthen me with raisins,
refresh me with apples,
for I am faint with love.

6 His left arm is under my head,
and his right arm embraces me.

7 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.

8 Listen! My lover!
Look! Here he comes,
leaping across the mountains,
bounding over the hills.

9 My lover is like a gazelle or a young stag.
Look! There he stands behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
peering through the lattice.

10 My lover spoke and said to me,
"Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, and come with me.

11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.

12 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.

13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me."

Lover)
14 My dove in the clefts of the rock,
in the hiding places on the mountainside,
show me your face,
let me hear your voice;
for your voice is sweet,
and your face is lovely.
15 Catch for us the foxes,
the little foxes
that ruin the vineyards,
our vineyards that are in bloom.

Beloved)
16 My lover is mine and I am his;
he browses among the lilies.
17 Until the day breaks
and the shadows flee,
turn, my lover,
and be like a gazelle
or like a young stag
on the rugged hills. [c]

This is Beautiful... try not to cry

This is Beautiful!

Sally jumped up anxiously as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said to him: 'How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? Can I see him?'

The surgeon dropped his eyes and then lifted them again and said to her, 'I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.'

The young mother's eyes began to well up with tears, 'Why do get cancer? Why? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, Where were you when my needed you?'

The surgeon asked, 'Would you like to have some time alone with your ? One of the nurses will be out to assist you in a few minutes, before he's transported to the University.'

Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said goodbye to her . She lovingly ran her fingers one last time through his thick red curly hair. 'Would you like to have a lock of his hair to keep with you?' the nurse asked. Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a small plastic bag and handed it over to Sally.

Then she looked at the nurse and said, 'It was his idea... Jimmy wanted to donate his body to the University for study. He said it might be a way to help somebody else. 'I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend some more time- even just one more day with his Mom.' She went on, 'My sweet little boy-He was such a gift to me- he had a heart of pure gold... it's always been so hard to understand how someone so young could always be thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help other people if he could.'

Sally walked out of 's Mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six agonizing months there. She put the bag with Jimmy 's belongings on the seat beside her in the car...

Alone in the car she melted into tears- crying her heart out to God for His comfort and the strength just to be able to deal with all of this. She asked for strength- enough to be able to focus and to drive herself back home. After awhile she felt a little stronger somehow and decided she could make it, so she backed the car out of the hospital parking lot

The drive home was difficult and it was even harder to enter the empty house.. She carried Jimmy 's belongings, along with and the small plastic bag with the lock of Jimmy's hair into her 's room.

She started placing the model cars and his other personal things back in his room exactly the way he had always kept them. She lay down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, she cried herself to sleep.

It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Lying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

'Dear Mom,

I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say 'I Love You'. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we will see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know.
Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's knee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you... God sai d for me to give you the answer to one of the ques tions you asked Him ¡where was He when I needed him?' 'God said He was in the same place with me, as when His Jesus was on the cross.. He was right there, as He always is with all His .

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore the cancer is all gone.. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love from God, Jesus & Me.

So Far Away...

So far away, doesn't anybody
stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see
your face at my door
Doesn't help to know
you're just time away

Long ago I reached for you
and there you stood
Holding you again could
only do me good
How I wish I could, but
you're so far away

One more song about movin'
along the highway
Can't say much of anything
that's new
If I could only work
this life out my way
I'd rather spend it bein'
close to you.

But you're so far away,
doesn't anybody stay in
one place anymore?
It would be so fine to
see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know
you're so far away

Yay-uh-ay-eee
Oh, so far away

Travelin' around sure gets
me down and lonely
Nothin' else to do but
close my mind
I sure hope the road
don't come to own me
There's so many dreams
I've yet to find

But you're so far away,
doesn't anybody stay in
one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see
your face at my door
And it doesn't help to know
you're so far away

Yay-uh-ay-eee
Oh, so far away
Yay, you're so faaaaaar away

Something happened to me about a month ago something very wrong and painful... and as much as I want it to go away it will not and it has damaged and bruised my soul please pray for me... I want to disappear.

I can no longer deal with this on my own so I am seeking counseling and healing for this. I feel lost and alone inside myself all I have done today is cry... I am so tired of feeling this way- please pray for some very deep healing in me

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs- it's also known as Mary's Song and nothing else I've ever heard seems to capture in such a real way the feelings that young woman must have been experiencing on that night so long ago...

Breath of Heaven

I have traveled
Many moonless night
Cold and Weary
With a babe inside
And I wonder
What I've done
Holy Father
You have come
Chosen me now
To carry your

I am waiting
in a silent prayer
I am frightened
by the load I bear
In a world as cold as stone
Must I walk this path alone
Be with me now
Be with me now

[chorus:]
-----------------------------------
Breath of Heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of Heaven

Breath of Heaven
Lighten my darkness
Pour over me, your holyness
For you are holy Breath of Heaven
-----------------------------------

Do you wonder
As you watch my face
If a wiser one,
should of had my place
But I offer-all I am
For the mercy-of your plan
Help me be strong
Help me be
Help me

[chorus:]
-----------------------------------
Breath of Heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of Heaven

Breath of Heaven
Lighten my darkness
Pour over me, your holyness
For you are holy Breath of Heaven

Healing and wisdom for the pain...

Pain and darkness are so real in this life... but good still happens, hope still survives, Love still prevails and with time and the Grace of God there is healing and wisdom for the pain.

If you close your eyes you can imagine putting your hands into His and touching those nail scares- knowing He understands on every level what it feels like when we suffer... this is His Love and compassion for us- He is a man of sorrows and He has fellowship with us in our grief.

He is there with us to carry us through these times of pain. In the midst of suffering it can be the hardest time to turn to Him in faith and trust that somehow this is all meant to work together for good... that's why we all need each other to encourage and remind and shine a light when someone else is going through a dark time and needs it most.

When someones world and heart is breaking- they don't need harsh words- they need to be loved and lifted up.

Darkness and light, life is full of these contrasts, as night is to day and sunrise is to sunset- tears may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning... when we can remember and remind one another there is hope and that.

With each day there is another chance, because when we know better we can do better! This is why He has made each day new!

McCAIN

Is this the great "Christian" candidate everyone thinks is so wonderful? Really? Do you really want this guy to be your president?

THIS IS A GUY SO LOST IN HIS PERSONAL, GROSS DISPLAY OF WEALTH THAT HE OWNS NO LESS THAN SEVEN HOUSES! NO, NOT FOUR AS TOLD BY HIS STAFF BUT SEVEN! HE'S SO COMPLETELY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE AVERAGE AMERICAN THAT HE ACTUALLY THINKS WE HAVE A STRONG ECONOMY...

YEAH, I GUESS SO... IF YOU'RE A MULTI-MILLIONARE WHO'S TOTALLY UNAFFECTED BY THE ECONOMY. APPARENTLY ALL THAT MONEY STILL DOESN'T BUY MUCH HAPPINESS- AS YOU CAN SEE McCAIN ALSO HAS A BIG PROBLEM WITH TEMPER TANTRUMS AND AN EXTEMELY FOUL MOUTH.

ONCE YOU READ THIS YOU MIGHT WANT TO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO VOTE FOR McCAIN.

THE MCCAIN WAY-
FOUL MOUTHED ATTACK ON REPUBLICANS
A Top 10 List…

1) Defending His Amnesty Bill, Sen. McCain Lost His Temper And “Screamed, ‘F*ck You!’ At Texas Sen. John Cornyn” (R-TX).

“Presidential hopeful John McCain - who has been dogged for years by questions about his volcanic temper - erupted in an angry, profanity-laced tirade at a fellow Republican senator, sources told The Post yesterday. In a heated dispute over immigration-law overhaul, McCain screamed, ‘F– you!’ at Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who had been raising concerns about the legislation. ‘This is chickens–stuff,’ McCain snapped at Cornyn, according to several people in the room off the Senate floor Thursday. ‘You’ve always been against this bill, and you’re just trying to derail it.’” (Charles Hurt, “Raising McCain,” New York Post, 5/19/07)

2) In 2000, Sen. McCain Ran An Attack Ad Comparing Then-Gov. George W. Bush To Bill Clinton.

SEN. MCCAIN: “I guess it was bound to happen. Governor Bush’s campaign is getting desperate, with a negative ad about me. The fact is, I’ll use the surplus MONEY to fix Social Security, cut your taxes and pay down the debt. Governor Bush uses all of the surplus for tax cuts, with not one new penny for Social Security or the debt. His ad twists the truth like Clinton. We’re all pretty tired of that. As president, I’ll be conservative and always tell you the truth. No matter what.” (McCain 2000, Campaign Ad, 2/9/00)

3) Sen. McCain Repeatedly Called Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) An “A**hole”,

Causing A Fellow GOP Senator To Say, “I Didn’t Want This Guy Anywhere Near A Trigger.” “Why can’t McCain win the votes of his own colleagues? To explain, a Republican senator tells this story: at a GOP meeting last fall, McCain erupted out of the blue at the respected Budget Committee chairman, Pete Domenici, saying, ‘Only an a‒hole would put together a budget like this.’ Offended, Domenici stood up and gave a dignified, restrained speech about how in all his years in the Senate, through many heated debates, no one had ever called him that. Another senator might have taken the moment to check his temper. But McCain went on: ‘I wouldn’t call you an a‒hole unless you really were an a‒hole.’ The Republican senator witnessing the scene had considered supporting McCain for president, but changed his mind. ‘I decided,’ the senator told Newsweek, ‘I didn’t want this guy anywhere near a trigger.’” (Evan Thomas, et al., “Senator Hothead,” Newsweek, 2/21/00)

4) Sen. McCain Had A Heated Exchange With Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) And Called Him A “F*cking Jerk.”

“Senators are not used to having their intelligence or integrity challenged by another senator. ‘Are you calling me stupid?’ Sen. Chuck Grassley once inquired during a debate with McCain over the fate of the Vietnam MIAs, according to a source who was present. ‘No,’ replied McCain, ‘I’m calling you a f–ing jerk!’ (Grassley and McCain had no comment.)” (Evan Thomas, et al., “Senator Hothead,” Newsweek, 2/21/00)

5) In 1995, Sen. McCain Had A “Scuffle” With 92-Year-Old Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-SC) On The Senate Floor.

“In January 1995, McCain was midway through an opening statement at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing when chairman Strom Thurmond asked, ‘Is the senator about through?’ McCain glared at Thurmond, thanked him for his ‘courtesy’ (translation: buzz off), and continued on. McCain later confronted Thurmond on the Senate floor. A scuffle ensued, and the two didn’t part friends.” (Harry Jaffe, “Senator Hothead,” The Washingtonian, 2/97)

6) Sen. McCain Accused Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Of The “Most Egregious Incident” Of Corruption He Had Seen In The Senate.

“It escalated when McCain reiterated the charges Oct. 10 in a cross-examination, calling McConnell’s actions the ‘most egregious incident’ demonstrating the appearance of corruption he has ever seen in his Senate career.” (Amy Keller, “Attacks Escalate In Depositions,” Roll Call, 10/21/02)

7) Sen. McCain Attacked Christian Leaders And Republicans In A Blistering Speech During The 2000 Campaign.

MCCAIN: “Unfortunately, Governor Bush is a Pat Robertson Republican who will lose to Al Gore. … The political tactics of division and slander are not our values… They are corrupting influences on religion and politics, and those who practice them in the name of religion or in the name of the Republican Party or in the name of America shame our faith, our party and our country. Neither party should be defined by pandering to the outer reaches of American politics and the agents of intolerance, whether they be Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton on the left, or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell on the right.” (Sen. John McCain, Remarks,

Virginia Beach, VA, 2/28/00)
Sen. McCain Attacked Vice President Cheney.

MCCAIN: “The president listened too much to the Vice President . . . Of course, the president bears the ultimate responsibility, but he was very badly served by both the Vice President and, most of all, the Secretary of Defense.” (Roger Simon, “McCain Bashes Cheney Over Iraq Policy,” The Politico, 1/24/07)

9) Celebrating His First Senate Election In 1986, Sen. McCain Screamed At And Harassed A Young Republican Volunteer.

“It was election night 1986, and John McCain had just been elected to the U.S. Senate for the first time. Even so, he was not in a good mood. McCain was yelling at the top of his lungs and poking the chest of a young Republican volunteer who had set up a lectern that was too tall for the 5-foot-9 politician to be seen to advantage, according to a witness to the outburst. ‘Here this poor guy is thinking he has done a good job, and he gets a new butt ripped because McCain didn’t look good on television,’ Jon Hinz told a reporter Thursday. At the time, Hinz was executive director of the Arizona Republican Party. … Hinz said McCain’s treatment of the young campaign worker in 1986 troubled him for years. ‘There were an awful lot of people in the room,’ Hinz recalled. ‘You’d have to stick cotton in your ears not to hear it. He (McCain) was screaming at him, and he was red in the face. It wasn’t right, and I was very upset at him.’” (Kris Mayes and Charles Kelly, “Stories Surface On Senator’s Demeanor,” The Arizona

10) Republic, 11/5/99) Sen. McCain “Publicly Abused” Senator Richard Shelby ( R-AL ).

“[McCain] noted his propensity for passion but insisted that he doesn’t ‘insult anybody or fly off the handle or anything like that.’ This is, quite simply, hogwash. McCain often insults people and flies off the handle…. There have been the many times McCain has called reporters ‘liars’ and ‘idiots’ when they have had the audacity to ask him unpleasant, but pertinent, questions. McCain once… publicly abused Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama.” (Editorial, “There’s Something Odd About McCain,” The Austin American-Statesman, 1/24/07)
