Vincent
Starry, starry night Paint your palette blue and grey Look out on a summer's day With eyes that know the darkness in my soul Shadows on the hills Sketch the trees and daffodils Catch the breeze and the winter chills In colours on the snowy linen land
Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds and violet haze Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue Colours changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artists' loving hand
Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now
For they could not love you But still your love was true And when no hope was left inside On that starry, starry night You took your life as lovers often do But I could have told you Vincent This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you
Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes The silver thorn of bloody rose Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They're not listening still Perhaps they never will...

Adia
Adia I do believe I failed you Adia I know I let you down Dont you know I tried so hard To love you in my way Its easy let it go... Adia Im empty since you left me Trying to find a way to carry on I search myself and everyone To see where we went wrong cause theres no one left to finger Theres no one here to blame Theres no one left to talk to, honey And there aint no one to buy our innocence cause we are born innocent Believe me adia, we are still innocent Its easy, we all falter Does it matter? Adia I thought that we could make it But I know I cant change the way you feel I leave you with your misery A friend who wont betray I pull you from your tower I take away your pain And show you all the beauty you possess If youd only let yourself believe that We are born innocent Believe me adia, we are still innocent Its easy, we all falter, does it matter? Believe me adia, we are still innocent cause we are born innocent Adia we are still innocent Its easy, we all falter ... but does it matter?

Look at the stars, Look how they shine for you, And everything you do, Yeah they were all yellow,
I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn Oh all the things I've done And it was all yellow
Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful D'you know- you know I love you so You know I love you so
I swam across I jumped across for you Oh all the things you do Cause they were all yellow
I drew a line I drew a line for you Oh what a thing to do And it was all yellow
Your skin Oh yeah your skin and bones Turn into something beautiful D'you know for you I'd bleed myself dry For you I'd bleed myself dry
Its true look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine for you look how they shine look at the stars look how they shine for you

A Song 4 Me: The Warrior Is A

Fight the Good Fight...
The Warrior is a
Lately I've been winning battles left and right But even winners can get wounded in the fight People say that I'm amazing Strong beyond my years But they don't see inside of me I'm hiding all the tears
And they don't know that I go running home when I fall down They don't know who picks me up when no one is around I drop my sword and cry for just a while 'Cause deep inside this armor The warrior is a
Unafraid because His armor is the best But even soldiers need a quiet place to rest People say that I'm amazing Never face retreat But they don't see the enemies That lay me at His feet
And they don't know that I go running home when I fall down They don't know who picks me up when no one is around I drop my sword and cry for just a while 'Cause deep inside this armor The warrior is a
And they don't know that I go running home when I fall down They don't know who picks me up when no one is around
I drop my sword and look up for a smile 'Cause deep inside this armor Deep inside this armor Deep inside this armor The warrior is a
The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints– 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Is 1/3 of the Trinity Feminine..? say it ain't so!!!

Most would agree that when it comes to the Trinity and gender we have God the Father and God the to explain the origin of man's masculine energy.
It has long been held as a belief that the Holy Spirit is without gender... hey wait a minute... so where did women come from... what's our spiritual origin before God extracted Adam's rib?
God the Father... this is simple- not genderless- thus the Father reference... God the ... again not genderless- thus the reference... two thirds of the Trinity- masculine... the Holy Spirit- not refered to as masculine but does that mean genderless?
This is where I may differ and probably do not conform to the beliefs of others... for all of you stoically, traditional patriarchal types out there... this might hurt your feelings some... so be prepared!
Where did the feminine energy that women posses come from if we are all created in God's image? My answer would be our feminine energy comes from the Holy Spirit... look it up it's known as the Shekinah or Shekinah Glory.
This is a traditional Hebrew term that refers to God's more feminine side. It is an identity of the Holy Spirit and part of a woman's feminine birth right as well as part of our Holy (feminine) Spiritual identity... ok let the squabbling begin!

Real Life- Relationship Expectations
|

|
What are your real life relationship expectations..? Beyond the companionship and the romance- I mean real life day to day stuff.
In daily life it's the little things that can slowly make or break you as a team... by now you've been there before and you know it's true.
Once you've met the love of your life are you going to end up spending much of your free time back on the computer or will your life be too busy for that?
Do you want a man who will be a good leader, protector and provider? Someone who also knows how to fix things, take care of the yard work, the pets and maybe the cars too and know that he will actually be responsible enough to do it?
Do you want a wife who is nurturing, caring works and earns an income, knows how to cook, take care of the million and one house-hold responsibilities, make sure the bills are paid- and know that she will actually be responsible enough to do it?
What about shared responsibilities? Will you have to raise- do you want that? If one person cooks shouldn't the other at least help clean up?
If someone dirties a dish shouldn't they be responsible for rinsing it and putting it in the dish washer? Who puts them away once the dishes are done. What about the laundry..?
No one really wants to think too much about these things but they have to be done in order for life to run as smooth and clutter-free as possible.
Do you neglect things, and slip mindlessly into "roles" and expectations that you later end up squabbling over... or do you act like responsible grown ups where you talk about it and work out a system... for real- what do you do?
When the rubber hits the road and real life takes the place of the stars in your eyes what are your goals and real-life expectations?

One man come in the name of love One man come and go One man come he to justify One man to overthrow
In the name of love What more in the name of love In the name of love What more in the name of love
One man caught on a barbed wire fence One man he resist One man washed on an empty beach. One man betrayed with a kiss
In the name of love What more in the name of love In the name of love What more in the name of love
(nobody like you...)
Early morning, April 4 Shot rings out in the Memphis sky Free at last, they took your life They could not take your pride
In the name of love What more in the name of love In the name of love What more in the name of love In the name of love What more in the name of love...

Honoring Martin Luther King- Quotes from His Life
|
Posted:Apr 4, 2008 3:19 pm
Last Updated:Apr 5, 2008 6:34 pm 3735 Views
|
*Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must ever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.
*Without love, benevolence becomes egotism.
*All men are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality.
*The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important.
*I submit that an individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.
*We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.
*If man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live.
*Ten thousand fools proclaim themselves into obscurity, while one wise man forgets himself into immortality.
*We have flown the air like birds and swum the sea like fishes, but have yet to learn the simple act of walking the earth like brothers.
*It may be true that the law cannot make a man love me, but it can stop him from lynching me, and I think that's pretty important.
*We are prone to judge success by the index of our salaries or the size of our automobile rather than by the quality of our service and relationship to mankind.
*Segregation is the adultery of an illicit intercourse between injustice and immorality.
*Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
*Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice. Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.

Salvation Drama- Casting your Pearls before Swine
|
Posted:Apr 3, 2008 1:16 pm

|
It truely boggles my mind the amount of time and effort that is wasted by people here doing something they have no right or authority to do... casting doubt on the salvation of others... what in the world is up with that?
I may not agree with someone's point of view I might even spar with them about the things I do not agree with. To me that's perfectly normal and healthy, but I do not go off and accuse them of NOT being saved because of it.
The conversion and salvation experience is a personal covenant made in probably millions of different ways. It's a truly Holy and intimate decision that is made and is ultimately sacred between a person's soul and their Creator.
If someone reaches out to God from their heart for salvation- regardless of how they do it... do you really think that God is so fickle and merciless that he will slap their hand away and say NO!
If someone says they believe in Jesus and believe in God and that they are a Christian... how is it your business or anyone elses' business to be a total jerk and tell them they are wrong- or to cast doubt on their salvation?
I do believe there are stages of growth and security when it comes to being saved. As a Christian there is always growing and learning... but just because someone does not understand some doctrine the way you do does not mean they are a heretic.
God made this simple- simple enough for everyone even simple enough for a "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten that whosoever believeth on Him shall not perish but have ever lasting life"... it's simple and it's beautiful-leave it be!
I think the people who do this are so insecure in their own faith that they have to go around trying to destroy the faith of others to make themselves feel righteous and good... it's some kind of ugly power trip and I'm getting really sick of it.
I see so many people here do this time and time again and it's confusing as hell to me. Who on earth is really arrogant enough to ever think that they have that kind of authority? This is a truly evil game and there are no winners!
No one has the right to tell me I'm not a Christian just because I don't agree with some twisted point they are trying to make in a blog.
This is not just one blogger- there are several. They don't know what it means to agree to disagree or have a balanced point of view. Their blogs are usually full of controversail and hateful religious rhetoric, with extreemist political points of view.
The games begin nearly every time anyone dares to disagree with them. They just do this to bait you into an endless and usually rhetoric filled argument. Do not fall into the twisted trap these people set disguised as a post.
At first the people who did this made me curious... but now it all just leaves me cold and disappointed... No one here really seems to be all that aware or care enough to say anything or point this out to others- but people should know and be fore-warned.
These people are in some kind of perpetual manic phase- chasing their tails and they want you to join them... don't fall for this and don't let them feed off of you... This is exactly what the bible warns about when it talks about casting your pearls before swine! Matt. 7:6

Blogs can be prayers too!

Did you ever get discouraged when you spend hours or even the better part of a day pouring your heart out into your blogs? You cross your fingers send it out to be posted and then- nada? I know we all want and need affirmation... so this can be difficult.
For what ever reason no one seems to hear you or really cares about what ever it is that you may have to say at that particular time... all I can say is don't be discouraged... you still did something good today- something that is helping you to grow as a Christian and a human being.
Sure we are all putting ourselves and our points of view out there hoping someone else will get it and hear what ever it is we have to say- and then post an opinion! When that doesn't happen- it can get you down. But writing is a good thing in and of it's self- very good for the soul!
Did you ever stop to think that blogs can be prayers too? This can be a comfort because if no one else acts like they are hearing the desires of our hearts... we can rest assured that someone really is... GOD!
