A CRIMINAL in Paradise??!!!

The scriptures do not give his name, nor does it state whether he was on the left of Jesus or on the right of Jesus.

But if you are a criminal hanging on a cross with nails hammered through your hands and feet, does that even matter?

One of the criminals being crucified at the same time as Jesus, blasphemed Jesus by saying, “If You are the Christ, then save Yourself and us!”

Another nail piercing through the heart of Jesus by a snide and rude remark from a vicious tongue.

We know that Jesus could stop that crucifixion by one word but why would He even want to? He was doing the will of His Father. His faith transcended the excruciating pain, shame, and evil that surrounded Him. Jesus knew the Truth. Jesus knew that He was the Truth.

The other criminal on one side of Jesus heard the other criminal blaspheming Jesus,

“Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.”

Can you imagine how Jesus must have felt at that moment? Those words must have been music to His ears. A sweet sound from a common criminal. I believe in You. Who would have ever thought that this could happen?

God did. God knew that man was going to be saved that very day.

Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom?”

He did not say, “Lord save me!” He said, “Lord, please remember me.” In other words, I am a sinner and not worthy of being in your kingdom, but will you at least remember me?

And I can imagine that the angels in Heaven were rejoicing when Jesus said to him,

Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.

Can you imagine how those sweet words must have sounded like to this suffering and dying man?

This simple but beautiful moment was happening in the midst of sheer evil, hatred, anger, torture, suffering, and pain.

Hope blossomed that day on the cross for one sinner. That sinner was me. And that sinner was you.

If you believe that Jesus Christ is the of God and your personal Lord and Savior, then Jesus opened the Gate into Paradise that day,... for you.

Giving God the Glory

Do you ever take the good things happening in your life for granted? Have you ever failed to stop and thank God and give God the Glory?

Luke 17:11-19

As Jesus entered into a village on His way to Jerusalem, he was met by ten lepers. These lepers stood far away from Jesus and shouted to Him, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

When Jesus saw them He said to them, Go show yourselves to the Priests. And on their way to do as they were commanded, they were cleansed.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed , returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell to his feet giving Him thanks. This man was a Samaritan.

Jesus answered and said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?

And Jesus said to him, Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.

These scriptures have made me realize how many times I have taken blessings from God for granted and failed to stop to thank Him and to Glorify Him.

I pray that I never fail to Glorify my Father in Heaven for all the amazing things He does for me each and every day.

Forgive me Father for those times I have failed to thank you and to Glorify You.

Who is in Your Boat??

Imagine this. You and me and other friends are in a small boat out in the middle of the sea. Suddenly, the winds begin to blow violently and the turbulent waves are tossing our boat in all directions. As we hang on for dear life we see a figure. Yes! A man! There is a man walking on the sea heading toward our boat! What!? How can that be? We are in the middle of the sea! But, sure enough, a man is walking ON THE WATER TOWARD OUR BOAT! My heart feels like it has stopped beating and the blood rushes from my face to my feet. What is this!? Am I seeing a ghost? Above the crashing waves I hear this magnificent voice,

It is I, don't be afraid.

Dear God! It is JESUS, the of God! He is coming toward MY boat! My beating heart fills with joy as peace, love, and security fills every part of my very being.

The diciples willingly received Jesus into their boat.

As soon as Jesus got into our boat something so amazing happened!

THE BOAT IMMEDIATELY WAS AT THE LAND WE WERE GOING.

As soon as Jesus stepped into their little boat, they were there at the land they were going!

The bible says, THEY WERE IMMEDIATELY AT THE LAND THEY WERE GOING!

I cannot even begin to understand or imagine the awesome and glorious power of God but as soon as I asked Him into my life, HE GOT IN MY BOAT!

As soon as I asked Him into my heart, I WAS IMMDEDIATELY TRANSFORMED into a beautiful and very much loved of God.

When things seem impossible to me,I remember they ARE POSSIBLE FOR GOD.

For with God ALL things are possible.

Without question or doubt, I want Jesus in my boat!

God bless you everyone!
