JUST MYSELF AND MY FRIENDS

"What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?"
George Elliot

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!

......resentments are like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die.......

To carry a grudge is like being stung to death by one bee.

-- William H. Walton

Or carrying a sack of potatoes.. the longer you carry it the more it rots and stinks!

this fragile housing,
so long my prison,
will face destruction and soon my soul
will
spring
free.

From the fists of earth
to the arms of my Saviour.

Gods word states that he has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us peace that is beyond all understanding. Jesus tells us that the peace we have the world cannot take away. The world offers depression and lonliness. God offers peace joy love understanding strength courage and total forgivness. Every thing we have was bought and payed for 2000 years ago on the cross. Go to the gospel of John and see what God has for you. Go then to the book of Ephesians and see what God has to say about His love for you. No greater love has no man than to lay down his life for a friend. Jesus is there with you now. Go to Gods word and seek His guidance and strength. Seek God and see He is here waiting to be spoken to. Listen to the words God speaks tou you in the book of psalms. Go to Psalms91. Read it as God is speaking it to you. Here is a copy of it here. Be Blessed.

Psalm 91
1HE WHO [a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
2I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

3For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4[Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

5You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,

6Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

7A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.

8Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

9Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,(A)

10There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

11For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

12They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.(

13You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot.(C)

14Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

15He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

16With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.

Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer.
@ PRISON @ WORK
You spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell

work..you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle.

You get three meals a day fully paid for

work......you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it.

You get time off for good behavior

you get more work for good behavior

The guard locks and unlocks all the doors for you

you must often carry a security card and open all the doors for yourself

You can watch TV and play games

you could get fired for watching TV and playing games

You get your own toilet

you have to share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat.

They allow your family and friends to visit

you aren't even supposed to speak to your family.

All expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required

you get to pay all your expenses to go to work, and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners.

You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out

you spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside bars.

You must deal with sadistic wardens

they are called managers.

You can talk about Jesus, and even participate in Bible Studies

you'd better not talk about Jesus or bring a Bible if you want to keep your job!

THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE!!!!

Now get back to work. You're not getting paid to check emails.

I've learned....
That we should be
glad God doesn't
give us everything
we ask for.
