Well, I'm stranded by the 3-4 inches of snow we got today. I will stay at the office tonight. I've never been so glad that we play Christian music 24/7 over our sound system. That will be a comfort. There is a couch in the break room, and I have plenty to eat. Even a shower and a washing machine and dryer so I will have clean clothes to wear tomorrow because I wore a sweat suit to work this morning and can wash my work clothes. I will sure miss my and my kitty cats though! My adult is there with the boys, so they will be ok. So talk to me, friends, I will be lonesome tonight!

This evening, I took 2 of my to Pizza Hut for supper. They had a special that sounded like we could afford it. We were seated and the waiter brought the drinks and menus. Then another crowd came in and he began waiting on them. Time passed. After about 20 minutes, I encouraged my to go ahead and go through the salad bar, and I did the same. After another 20 minutes had passed, the waiter still had not reappeared. So I went up to the counter and spoke to another waitress, telling her the situation and that I thought perhaps the waiter had forgotten about us. She replied that he was new, and that he may have forgotten. She came straight to our table, took our order, kept us posted on the progress of the order, and brought it to us as soon as possible. When she brought the ticket, she said, "I've given you a little discount because you had to wait so long." I looked at the ticket--our dinner was FREE! I tipped her liberally, but my praise went to the Lord! He watches out for us in the most amazing ways!

...a favorite poem by Elizabeth Akers Allen, dedicated to my friends on BC: May we all live it someday.
At last, when all the summer shine That warmed life's early hours is past Your loving fingers seek for mine And hold them close--at last--at last! Not oft the robin comes to build Its nest upon the leafless bough By autumn robbed, by winter chilled,-- But you, dear heart, you love me now.
Though there are shadows on my brow And furrows on my cheek, in truth,-- The marks where Time's relentless plough Broke up the blooming sward of Youth,-- Though fled is every girlish grace Might win or hold a lover's vow, Despite my sad and faded face, And darkened heart, you love me now!
I count no more my wasted tears; They left no echo of their fall; I mourn no more my lonesome years; This blessed hour atones for all. I fear not all that Time or Fate May bring to burden heart or brow,-- Strong in the love that came so late, Our souls shall keep it always now.

Oh, wow! Roberta has already mentioned this, but the snow was so beautiful this morning! Millions and gazillions of sparkles! And there had been a bit of ice fog in the night; even the bushes and blades of grass sparkled in the rising sun! I could hardly keep my eyes on the road. Talk about bling-bling! Nobody outdoes God!

I am feeling much better today. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for me. I was able to come to work, and my pain is gone.
I so appreciate it when you lift me up in prayer.

Well, we got all that snow that Tulsa missed! Had 8 inches of wet, heavy stuff on the ground this morning. At least it was warm enough to soften the ice somewhat, but it is still slick underneath the snow.
I was able to make it to church this morning. Our church doesn't cancel because several of us live very close to the church building. The pastor lives right next door. We had a good time being together--it is always wonderful to be with my Christian family. My oldest came and got me and helped me get there. I am so proud of him--he is such a good boy. He just had his first experience with a scam lizard, a little gold-digger who asked him for money to pay bills and then took what he gave and went to the casino and gambled it away. It was an expensive lesson, but one I'm sure he'll never forget. He was almost ready to propose to this girl--good thing he saw the light!
Friends, I will ask you to keep on praying for me as I am still suffering from back pain, whether due to the kidney stone or something else (like chopping ice off the sidewalk?)I'm not sure. But it is pretty bad. Thank you for your prayers for me. And may I ask a favor? I love it when you guys pray "out loud" for me--that is, when you write your prayer in your comment section. I can read them over, and they encourage me and give me hope.
Love you all! Blessings, Merry

I actually made it to work today! I got a ride from my pastor, who also came back and picked me up. Tomorrow I am going to try driving, if I can get to the van. The worst spot of all is just between my house and my garage. It's like a frozen lake!
The parking lot at work is really bad too, but if we get another day of sunshine and temps over freezing, it may get slushy. I can't believe we are supposed to get another round of this for the weekend!
BC friends, please keep praying for me. I have missed so much work (between the weather and the kidney stone) that my income is way down. I really need to get back to work full-time!

Before I heard this song, I thought there were times that nobody loved me. But this song really blessed me and changed my mind on that subject. May it bless your heart too, especially if you feel unloved. Merry
Never Been Unloved By Michael W. Smith and Wayne Kirkpatrick
I have been unfaithful; I have been unworthy. I have been unrighteous, and I have been unmerciful.
I have been unreachable; I have been unteachable. I have been unwilling and I have been undesirable.
And sometimes I have been unwise. I’ve been undone by what I’m unsure of.
But because of You, and all that You went through I know that I have never been unloved.
I have been unbroken; I have been unmended. I have been uneasy, and I’ve been unapproachable.
I’ve been unemotional; I’ve been unexceptional. I’ve been undecided, and I have been unqualified.
Unaware ‒ I have been unfair. I’ve been unfit for blessings from above.
But even I can see the sacrifice You made for me To show that I have never been unloved
It’s because of You, and all that You went through I know that I have never been unloved

Quit blogging and get busy! another day off work, good to be home, but I need to get off the computer and do something. Still too icy to leave the house. Brethren and sisteren, please pray that I'll get something done today besides blogging. If I have you to be accountable to, it will help. I'll report back here at 4:30 CDT and let you know what I've accomplished.
Thanks, Merry
BTW, I have spent some time reading back-posts on several of your blogs. There is a tremendous amount of Godly wisdom flowing around here. I am honored to be a part of your community, and be your sister in Christ. Love y'all Merry
