My was telling me how he and someone else, were having a mock argument over a sandwich at church on Sunday.

Fog really is like a blanket, it muffles sound and adds another dimension to it all...
It's like having a constant, ever changing canvas to look at...
I'm not good at living in suburbia, where all you see are the neighbors and everything that goes with it!
I'm country thru and thru, I love living in God's big beautiful world, dont like being closed in....

Horror Floods!

They have been described as "Floods of Biblical proportions"
They are really bad, yesterday they hit the Toowoomba region of Queensland and eight people died and 72 missing!
Worst thing is they knew all this water was coming...
A woman and boy found dead in the cbd of Toowoomba, a small regional city 125 ks west of Brisbane, I am incredulous at these events, it's terrible...
It was described as an inland tsunami...
Last week the area affected was the size of France and Germany combined..

Since my mum passed away...
Elvis died on her bday '77 and she died the day before his!
They were both born in '35...
Funny how things happen like that...

You know we can get very disheartened by life...
In my own situation, I am now estranged from my immediate family...I honestly dont know why, but I'm trusting God, it is all in His hands...
A long time ago, I USED to feel like there must be something wrong with me and feel rejected...UNTIL I became a Christian, until I read the Bible and all the stories of the people in there and their lives, and you know what?
That changed my perspective!
I read about angels coming to speak to people in their dreams, I read about the Shepherd who goes looking for His own and I felt so honoured to be in the same boat as these people!
Hallelujah!
When life throws you lemons, make lemonade!
I read about the widow and her ....
Elijah and Elisha...
I read about Job..
I've read about them all, and I still, after all these yrs, find new things!,
You know the Bible says..
MANY are the afflictions of the righteous BUT He delivers us from them ALL, amen!
That is why the Bible is so vital to us and our well being, that is why we need to read it as much as possible, that is where we find the answers and take courage and heart, I have such a good feeling about what is ahead, no matter what, it is ALL good..
Romans tells us ..
ALL things work together for good TO those who love God, to those who are THE called according to His purpose...
BUT my fav is the next 2 verses...
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His , that He might be the FIRSTborn among many brethren...
Moreover, whom He predestined, these He also called;
whom He called, He also justified, and whom He justified, these He also glorified!
Woo hoo, how can we not take heart when that is His word for us!
That is why I have learned to count it all good, He knows what He is doing even when I DONT!!!!
Oh, get excited people, take heart...
He turns around for good everything the enemy meant for our harm...
Persecution, sufferings, it's all for His glory...
God is good, amen...

hmm, just as well Jesus doesnt do that, make lists...
Doesnt matter which way you come at it, it smugs of self righteousness, one way or another!
Remember that pharisee, in the temple, saying, "Im so glad I'm not like that... "
Now what was said about that?
Unfortunately, people are mostly blind to the truth...
the bible is full of true stories, we have been told the truth about so many people, so we will know the difference...
Woe to you when men speak well of you, for so your fathers did to the false prophets etc...
Even in writing this, I have to be careful I"M not being self righteous!
When you know the truth and see so many blind to it, it is really hard, but we have to trust God implicitly, we have no other choice...
We are called to speak the truth and then, not argue about it...
God will do what God will do, amen...
Be careful how you judge, no matter how right you may think you are....

A few yrs ago, my and I went to a visiting ministry session.
It's a ministry that goes to schools...
Did you know if you carry a cond.. in your wallet, it deteriorates and is no longer effective?

Here's something else to consider, this world is definitely NOT how God created it, it is corrupted, everything, including us...
We dont know how it was at first, we view everything through our imperfect understanding...
Relationships, intimacy..
It is just as sick as in Sodoms time...
Can you remember back to a time when you felt clean, pure?
Virginal?
Love and lust are not the same, love is satisfying, lust never is satisfied...
And it has nothing to do with finger pointing or labelling people as prudes...
What would Jesus do?
Can you imagine God doing anything fleshly gratifying?
I dont think so...

Where your mouth is!
Instead of talking and remembering those less fortunate, why not ask " what can I do? "
You know there is so much we can do!
Assist other ministries, financially, to do what we in the natural, CANT do...
There are very fruitful ministries around, look at the Salvos for instance...
They dont get many donations to help abused women and ...
Instead of selling things you dont want or need any more, give it to the Salvos...
God bless the Salvos and hands on ministries like them, amen!
The disciples told Jesus to send the multitudes away, but He said " you feed them! "
He made sure there was more than enough and no one missed out...
He was probably tired and wanted to rest, but He put others first, He was constantly
OUT OF HIS COMFORT ZONE!
Especially when He hung on that cross for you and me....
so once again...
What can we do?
