Jesus said, 'It is impossible that no offenses should come"Luke 17:1 It is not a question of opportunity to be offended, but what your response will be. It is an unfortunate fact that, not some, but many are offended and held captive.

Anyone who has trapped animals knows a trap needs one of two things to be successful. It must be hidden, in the hope that an animal will stumble upon it, and it must be baited to lure the animal into the trap's deadly jaws.
Satan, the enemy of our souls, incorporates both of these strategies as he lays out his most deceptive and deadly traps.

They are both hidden and baited.

Satan along with his coherts, is not as blatant as many believe. He is subtle and delights in decption. He is shrewd in his operations... cunning and crafty. Dont forget he can disguise himself as a messenger of light. If we are not trained by the Word of God to divide rightly between good and evil, we wont recognize his traps for what they are.

Often those who are offended do not even realize they are trapped. Nov 20, 2005 6:32 am

One of the most isidious kinds of bait is some thing every Christian has encountered-offense. Actually, offense itself is not deadly-if it stays in the trap. But if we pick it up and consume it and feed on it in our hearts, then we have become offended. Offended people produce much fruit, such as hurt, anger, outrage, jealousy, resentment, strife, bitterness, hatred, envy. Some of the conquences of picking up an offenses are insults , attacks, wounding, division, sepration, broken relationships, betrayal, and backsliding.

Often those who are offended do not even realize they are trapped.

They are oblivious thier condition because they are so focused on the wrong that was done to them. They are in denial. The most effective way for the enemy to blind us is to cause us to focus on ourselves.

by being doers of the Word and not just hearers only:

The whole point in faithful obedience is to set the examples for others so that they will want to know the God that we serve.

We should have Soaked ourselves in the word of God so then others will see God in you. For it is written:

2 Timothy 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. [read chapter]

What if?

1/30/2006 6:48 pm
[post a] This is a story of a little boy named Theo, who woke up one morning and asked God, "What if there were no Black people in the world?"
Well, God, thought about that for a moment and then said, ", follow me around today and let's just see what it would be like if there were no Black people in the world. Get dressed and we will get started."

Theo ran to his room to put on his clothes and shoes. But there were no shoes, and his clothes were all wrinkled. He looked for the iron, but when he reached for the ironing board, it was no longer there. You see Sarah Boone, a Black woman, invented the ironing board and Jan E. Matzelinger, a Black man invented the shoe lasting machine.

"Oh well," God said, "Go and do your hair." Theo ran in his room to comb his hair, but the comb was not there. You see, Walter Sammons, a Black man, invented the comb. Theo decided to just brush his hair, but the brush was gone. You see Lydia O. Newman, a Black female invented the brush.

Well, he was a sight, no shoes, wrinkled clothes, hair a mess without the hair care inventions of Madam C. J. Walker, -- well, you get the picture. God told Theo, "Let's do the chores around the house and then take a trip to the grocery store."

Theo's job was to sweep the floor. He swept and swept and swept. When he reached for the dustpan, it was not there. You see, Lloyd P. Ray, a Black man, invented the dustpan. So he swept his pile of dirt over in the corner and left it there. He then decided to mop the floor, but the mop was gone. You see, Thomas W. Stewart, a Black man, invented the mop.

Theo thought to himself, "I'm not having any luck." "Well, ," God said. "We should wash the clothes and prepare a list for the grocery store." When he was finished, Theo went to place the clothes in the dryer, but it was not there. You see, George T. Samon, a Black man, invented the clothes dryer. Theo got a pencil and some paper to prepare the list for the market, but noticed that the pencil lead was broken, as well he was out of luck because John Love, a black man, invented the pencil sharpener. He reached for a pen, but it was not there because William Purvis, a Black man, invented the fountain pen. As a matter of fact, Lee Burridge invented the type writing machine, and W. A. Lavette, the printing press.

So they decided to head out to the market. Well, when Theo opened the door, he noticed the grass was as high as he was tall. You see the lawnmower was invented by John Burr, a Black man.

They made their way over to the car and found that it just wouldn't go. You see, Robert Spikes, a Black man, invented the automatic gear shift and Joseph Gammel invented the supercharge system for internal combustion engines.

They noticed that the few cars that were moving were running into each other and having wrecks because there were no traffic signals. You see, Garrett A. Morgan, a Black man invented the traffic light.

Well, it was getting late, so they walked to the market, got their groceries and returned home. Just when they were about to put away the milk, eggs and butter, they noticed the refrigerator was gone. You see, John Standard, a Black man, invented the refrigerator. So they put the food on the counter.

By this time, they noticed it was getting mighty cold. Theo went to turn up the heat and what do you know, Alive Parker, a Black female, invented the heating furnace. Even in the summer time they would have been out of luck because Frederick Jones, a Black man, invented the air conditioner.

It was almost time for Theo's father to arrive home. He usually took the bus, but there was no bus because its precursor was the electric trolley, invented by another Black man, Elbert T. Robinson. He usually took the elevator from his office on the 20th floor, but there was no elevator because Alexander Miles, a Black man, invented the elevator. He usually dropped off the office mail at a nearby mailbox, but it was no longer there because Phillip Downing, a Black man, invented the letter drop mailbox and William Barry invented the postmarking and canceling machine.

Theo sat at the kitchen table with his head in his hands. When his father arrived he asked, " Why are you sitting in the dark?" Why?? Because Lewis Howard Latimer, a Black man, invented the filament within the light bulb.

Theo quickly learned what it would be like if there were no Black people in the world.

Not to mention if he were ever sick and needed blood. Charles Drew, a Black scientist, found a way to preserve and store blood which led to his starting the world's first blood bank.

And what if a family member had to have surgery. This would not have been possible without Dr. Daniel Hale Williams, a Black doctor, who performed the first open heart surgery.

So if you ever wonder, like Theo, where we would be without Blacks? Well, it's pretty plain to see, we could very well still be in the dark!!!

...or spiritual maturity...

...a major concern of little is tat they grow up physically to be like someone they idolize. A major concern of God is that we grow up spiritually to become like Jesus Christ.

Does the Word of God ever contridicts itself, then read this post and tell me what you think?

In my opinion, NO, it doesnt not at all. I wrote a few blogs a few months back now as I felt lead to do so. They were mostly copied from the bible but the Word of God is never wrong.

They call it exposing false doctrines. But if you read the bible all the way through you will realize that never once did Christ nor the apostles say to expose false doctrines instead it just warns us to stay away from them and to know them by thier fruit. Each man who has the Holy Spirit of God can reconize these fruits even in ourselves when we step out of the will of God. But through Gods grace we can repent if we have a sincere heart in the first place and set out foot back on the right path again. But that is just it the danger of teaching this "false doctrine" of "exposing the false teachers" because that is what they are doing is pointing the finger at the person instead of the so called false doctrine at all.

Even though we all know this scripture by now: we dont wrestle with flesh and blood... but the true question is how many believe that. In other words that scripture is specifically telling us that we dont wrestle against the person but against the spirituall wickness that may over be trying to over take that person. And the best way to know whether or not if we are wrestling with that person is to ask yourself would i rather help this person since the scripture so graciously tell me to "restore such a one who has fallen" instead of my trying to expose them.

If you are just trying to expose them and drive them away then you are wrestling against them and not the evil that they may have fallen into? Even the Word says that the tares must even grow along side the wheat. What then is the Word contridictory? No it is still the same. Love is patient, and kind ask yourself this: do you have the patience and kindness to help restore such a person? Love also covers a multitude of sin. Now there is a difference when some one just out and speaks blasphemy against the Holy spirit then we know that there no forgiveness for them but for others do we try and help them and ourselves to get back on the right course.

I believe what paul was saying when he mentioned that the falsehood must be exposed was consistant with what the Lord taught us already that light will exspell darkness. In other words when the light comes it will automatically expose what was hidden in the darkness. We dont have to because that work has already been done remember Christ said on the cross "Father it is finished". Now we enter into His rest. Never once did Christ make it HIs mission to set out and attack others. He remained humbled just as we should be.

NOw we are to correct but in the Holy Spirit and not on our own the Holy Spirit is not an attacker. He is very humbled and very gentle He is not an accuser. But He will correct.

Are there any wolves here in sheeps clothing?

The Word also says that what reward do you have if you love only those who love you the pagens do the same thing and if your righteousness dont exceed the righteousness of the pagens that you will in no wise inter into the kingdom of heaven. pretty strong words to me and I have not known in one place where the Word, lies.

God fullfills all of HIs promises it is my hope that we all better live our lives in according to the promises and commandments of God. In other words I hope that every one who claim the name of Christ live as Christ lived. This is not a religious post or speaking on the law. As you can see I said "I hope".

Let God be true and every man a liar. If we live the way we want to then we are calling HIs Word a lie. It is scarry to think that we accept many at their word that they are christian rather than do as the Word tells us and that is to test the spirit because many false prophets and teachers have crept in unawares.

I hope the body of Christ wakes up for this is the anti Christ the Word says and they are already here. Many come in as angels of light the bible says but inward are raviouness wolves. Wolves in sheeps clothing.
