My Two Cents

Hello Welcome to my blog!

God is wanting you to seek His face and not His hands!

God longs to reveal Himself to you.
Desire a closer relationship with the Creator and not His creations.
My prayer is that something I post here will cause you to have that desire, to put a hunger in you that only Jesus can fill. He is waiting.....

Be blessed in Jesus name!

Thank you for coming and hurry back. The door is always open and I'll leave the light on for you!

Disclaimer: I don't have to agree with the way you believe, what you say or how you worship in order for me to love you. And about anything I might say here or what anyone else may say, my advice to you is eat the meat and spit out the bones!

The Word Blessing

Kathi Pelton:
I Heard the Spirit Say, "I Want You to Bless Them"

Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore!—Psalm 113 vs 2

As Christians, we use the word "blessing" more than most words. It is commonplace for us to talk about the blessings of our day, our family, our church, etc. We love to pray blessings upon those we love and upon ministries that are doing powerful works. We often make our exiting statement to one another a blessing by saying, "God bless you." We even will stretch our faith and "bless our enemies" at times. Though we do this, I wonder how many of us understand this act.

Among the Jewish people, there are hundreds of blessings that are a part of their synagogue service. They make it a practice to bless all that they enjoy as a part of their daily lives and corporate gatherings. Hebrew blessings can be easily identified because they all begin with the phrase, "Blessed art Thou" (birkhot atah). This is often called the Shem umalkhut, which means, "The Name and the Sovereignty." This recognizes Adonai as King over the entire universe.

The Name and The Sovereignty

A number of years ago one of our began a relationship with the opposite sex that my husband and I completely disagreed with. When I went before the Lord to seek counsel on how to handle this situation, I heard the Spirit say, "I want you to bless them." I immediately began to rebuke this voice since I was sure that the Lord did not want to bless this unhealthy relationship that was budding. I went back to prayer. Once again I heard, "I want you to bless them."

Thoroughly confused, I decided to go to my husband to hear what he was sensing. When I told him what I had heard he began chastising me! But, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't hear anything different. The next day we went to our local ministry team and shared with them the situation and what I had heard. They went to prayer and heard the same thing. Although this went against everything we thought to be proper and righteous, we began to pray blessing upon them. We even spoke a blessing over them.

After doing this we began to see God move sovereignly in their lives. We had not spoken agreement with the unhealthy aspects of their relationship, but we had released "The Name and The Sovereignty" of God over their lives and relationship. The reality was that we had – without realizing it – invited the Holy Spirit to begin to move the way He wished in the situation.

Initially we had taken a firm stance against all aspects of this relationship because of what our eyes could see and because of our beliefs on the subject of "dating," but God didn't want us to stand against what was happening; He wanted us to stand in agreement with His Kingship over their lives. We stopped standing against "flesh and blood" and began standing with the King and His sovereignty. The Lord had humbled us and moved us out of His way. This act of "blessing" began a life-changing process in both of these young peoples' lives that continues to this day.

Blessing Your Enemies

It is easy to bless what we agree with and what we view as good, but to release a blessing upon someone who is doing wrong or leading a life that is full of things that we don't agree with can be very difficult. We often look at blessing as agreeing with the person that we are releasing it upon. But Jesus spoke of it as agreeing with God to have His way in their lives.

"But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you. If anyone slaps you on one cheek, offer him the other cheek, too. If someone takes your coat, do not stop him from taking your shirt. Give to everyone who asks you, and when someone takes something that is yours, don't ask for it back. Do to others what you would want them to do for you.

If you love only the people who love you, what praise should you get? Even sinners do that! If you lend things to people, always hoping to get something back, what praise should you get? Even sinners lend to other sinners so that they can get back the same amount! But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without hoping to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward, and you will be of the Most High God, because He is kind even to people who are ungrateful and full of sin. Show mercy, just as your Father shows mercy."—Luke 6:27-36

Doesn't this truth make blessing your enemy far easier? You are agreeing with God for His sovereign power to begin to move in their lives! We spend so much time and energy trying to figure out our next move, thinking of strategies to see our enemies confounded or how to get the prodigal to return home, when perhaps we just need to bless them! I think we spend a lot of time trying to give the Holy Spirit counsel on how He should move and what He should do.

I have personally heard parents pray misery on their so that they would stop having an appetite for sin. But, why not leave the work and the "how tos" up to the King of the universe who made them and knows their every thought? Let's begin to bless our who are astray, so that God's Name and Sovereignty would be made known to them. Let's bless our enemies, bless our governments, bless our leaders, bless those we don't agree with, even bless ourselves just in case we are the ones who are in need of His sovereign work in our lives.

Bless Your Nation

I am often dumbfounded at how I hear some Christians speak about our president here in the United States of America. I have heard derogatory words spoken – jokes, anger and even curses over his life. How does this help? Once again, you do not have to agree with the actions and beliefs of an individual to bless them. We need to begin to stand in a posture of blessing as we speak about our leaders and our government. Let us release God to be sovereign in our nation and in our government. When you hear a Believer speaking curses or making jokes about someone or something they disagree with, don't hesitate to tell them about the power of blessing.

The experience that Jeff and I went through involving our was one of the hardest choices that we ever faced. This person who had entered our 's life was a threat to their destiny, their walk with God and their relationship with us. If we had stood against the two of them, we would have lost them both; by blessing them we gained another . Could it be that if all Believers in our nation began to bless our leaders maybe we would gain people after God's own heart?

Luke 6:36 says to show mercy. Let us make a commitment today to "show mercy, just as our Father shows mercy." Let us love, bless and pray for those that need mercy. May it begin to rain mercy and blessings over our homes and over our nations. May the heavens begin to be filled with the sounds of God's people speaking blessings. Let us saturate our nations, our families, our churches and our cities with the chorus of blessings.

The LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."' So they will put My name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."—Numbers 6:23-27

Let us put His name upon our leaders, our families, and our nations so that the Lord can have His way and move in their lives.

I speak a blessing over you and your loved ones!

A guy took his girlfriend to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their team’s bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

“Oh, I really liked it,” she replied, but I just couldn’t understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents.”

Dumbfounded, her date asked, “What do you mean?”

“Well,” she said, “they flipped a coin, one team got it, and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was, ‘Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!’ I’m like … hello-o-o-o-o-o… it’s only 25 cents!”

Iroquois Prophecy......

Some interesting information.

Iroquois Prophecies Tell of Great Changes Ahead
© by Doug George-Kanentiio

Those people living along the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic coast can, if an old Iroquois prophecy is accurate, expect more powerful hurricanes to strike land with as much if not more intensity than Katrina.

Like many Native teachings the prophecies are meant to warn people that their collective behavior with regards to the natural world has consequences some of which are tragic not only for humans but other species of life.

One of the most influential of Iroquois spiritual leaders was Handsome Lake (Skaniateriio in Mohawk)the Seneca prophet who instructed his followers as to how to accommodate life in which the Europeans would dominate at least until the time of ecological cleansing.

Handsome Lake was a title holder as a member of the Seneca Nation's national council. He was a veteran of many wars including the American Revolution and like others of his time resorted to alcohol as one way of responding to the diminishing of the Iroquois as a political power in the northeast.

Handsome Lake went into an alcohol induced stupor in 1799 from which he emerged a radically different man. He said he had received specific instructions from spiritual beings sent to him by the Creator; these teachings consisted of a series of rules which if adhered to would enable the Iroquois to survive as a people in difficult times.

The first requirement was to abandon the use of alcohol since widespread drunkenness had cost the Iroquois not only their pride but most of their aboriginal lands. Territorial displacement meant they could no longer move about freely or hunt for those animals which had constituted a critical part of the Iroquois diet.
The people became ever more reliant on what they could grow on their small plots of land but even then the Europeans sought their demise. Handsome Lake told the people this period of suffering and oppression would last for some time but would one day come to an end. He told his followers to look for specific signs as to the coming of the great change.

These are some of the events which Handsome Lake and other teachers said would happen:

- A great plague will come and kill many people but its cause will be unknown: a second one will follow
- The earth will not permit food to be grown upon her for seven years resulting in great starvation
- Witchcraft will be openly practiced and some will boast of those they have killed
- Strange poisonous creatures will emerge from beneath the earth and cause many deaths as they contaminate the earth, sky and water
- Both moon and earth will stop revolving
- False prophets will walk among the people
- Two great spheres, one yellow and the other red, will fall upon the earth and many will perish
- The white veil which covers the earth will be broken and will cause the earth to heat and result in great, destructive winds
- The earth itself will turn with increasing speed and cause great harm to the people
- Many animals will leave this world and go into another as they are hunted to extinction and their food sources polluted and destroyed
- Medicine plants such as the strawberry will no longer flower or bear fruit
- The great trees such as the elm and maple will disappear
- The thunder beings will come from the east, there will be a great storm and they will not come back
- The Great Tree (Ohenhta:kowa) of the Confederacy will have its trunk hacked away and will fall but a few leaders will gather and prevent it from crashing to the ground
- Gambling and the desire for bright shiny things will lead many people astray from their paths
- Blood will be shed inside of our longhouse

As the Onondaga leader Oren Lyons says: "It is up to each one of us to do what we can to prepare for the cleansing. What will you do?"

So You Wanta' Be Like Jesus!

You wanta' be like Jesus? Are you willing to get down amidst the mud and the blood to bind and lift up the wounded and bleeding? Are you willing to get 'dirty' loving the unlovable and 'unclean' ? It's easy saying you wanta' be like Jesus in your cushy well padded pews in an air conditioned or heated mega church. But when it gets down to the nitty gritty can you stand the heat in the streets? Can you walk the streets beside a as she works to sell her body for a shot of heroin and tell her over and over again that Jesus loves her? Would you be able to wrap your arms around her drug ravished body and hug her close and tell her Somebody loves her so much that He died for her? Are you willing to walk into a crack house among the smell of filth and decay and pick up some young age girl up out of her own filth and hold her in your arms and love her while she shakes and screams from drug withdrawals? What about the drunken derelict in the alley? Can you lift him up to his feet, filthy and stinky as he is and hold him close and tell him Someone still loves him. Jesus did! Still wanta' be like Jesus? Do you really love your neighbor as yourself?
"They will know you are My disciples by the love you have one for another!"

The sweet light in His eyes shall enhance those awaiting,
and we shall behold Him, face to face.

Chorus
We shall behold Him.
Yes, we shall behold Him,
face to face in all of His glory.
We shall behold Him,.
Yes, we shall behold Him,
face to face, our Savior and Lord.

Psalm 5...The Road Home
7ME0YlgeEBE

Give ear to my words, O Lord
Consider my meditation
Harken unto the voice of my cry
My king and my God

For unto Thee will I pray
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning
O Lord in the morning will I direct my prayer
Unto thee, and will look up.

For those tears I died... of the Day
Np8GJGZ3Vv8

A real time warp for me, back to the Jesus movement in southern Cal, early 70's Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Pastor Chuck can be seen in the audience (still with hair lol )...

You said you'd come and share all my sorrows,
You said you'd be there for all my tomorrows,
I came so close to sending you away,
But just like you promised, you came here to stay,
I just had to pray.
And Jesus said, "Come to the water, stand by my side.
I know you are thirsty, you won't be denied.
I felt every tear drop when in darkness you cried,
And I strove to remind you that for those tears I died."

Your goodness so great I can't understand.
And dear Lord, I know that all this was planned;
I know you're here now and always will be.
Your love loosed my chains and in You I'm free,
but Jesus why me?

Jesus, I give you my heart and my soul,
I know now without God, I'd never be whole.
Savior, you opened all the right doors,
And I thank you and praise you from earth's humble shores,
Take me I'm yours.

I could sing of your love forever.....delirious

They'll Never Take Jesus...Out of My Heart
Michael Combs
9QGDSOqClBQ

They can take the ten commandments
Off the courthouse walls
They can even take all the manger scenes
Out of the parks and malls
They can take my Blessed Bible
Tear the pages all apart
But they'll never take my Jesus
Out of my heart

They can take away our right to pray
Throw us all in jail
But they can't take away the life he gave
Or send my soul to hell
Yes they can take my Blessed Bible
Tear the pages all apart
But they'll never take my Jesus
Out of my heart

They can take away our liberty
To preach God's Holy Word
They can make it be against the law
If we witness door to door
Oh they can stop our voice
From preaching in the streets
Oh and even in the park
But they'll never take my Jesus
Out of my heart

Oh, they can take away our right to pray
And even throw us all in jail
But they can't take away the life he gave
They can't send my soul to hell
Oh they can take my Blessed Bible
Tear the pages all apart
But they'll never, never take my Jesus
Out of my heart

Oh they can take my life and bury me
In a grave so cold, cold and dark
But they'll never take my Jesus
Out of my heart
Never get him out of my heart.

Please Come Down To Me the Crabb Family v=ybv_z4_6pi4
Verse I
I know that I'm not worthy to call upon your name
All my life I've been a sinner and for that I am ashamed
But I heard that you would listen to I'm giving you my plea
I'm too unworthy Lord, to come to you
Could you please come down to me?

Chorus
I know that there are others who could offer more than I
I promise you I'd understand if for me you had no time
I think I've just hit bottom and I'm looking up to see
I'm too unworthy, Lord, to come to you
Could you please come down to me?

Verse II
I guess I must be reaping from the seeds that I have sown
Lord, you owe me nothing, we haven't spoken for so long
If you could spare some mercy I'll pledge my life to thee
I'm too unworthy, Lord, to come to you
Could you please come down to me?

Scriptures proving the deity of Jesus!

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The "Word" refers to Jesus (v17), the only begotten of the Father who became flesh and dwelt among us (v14). This affirms that Jesus is a separate individual from the Father (He was with God), and yet He Himself possesses Deity (He was God). Note that the context affirms both Jesus' Deity and His humanity: God became flesh and dwelt among us.

"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" (NKJV, KJV, ASV). Or: "For in Him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form" (NASB, RSV, NIV is similar).
"Fulness" (plerooma) means " ... that which is brought to fulness or completion ... sum total, fulness, even (super) abundance ... of something ... the full measure of deity ... Colossians 2vs9" - Bauer-Arndt-Gingrich.
"Godhead" or "Deity" (theotes) means: " ... the state of being God, Godhead ..." - Grimm-Wilke-Thayer. Trench says the language here means Jesus "was, and is, absolute and perfect God" (quoted in Vine, Vol. I, pp. 328f).

John 20vs28,29
After he saw proof of Jesus' resurrection, Thomas address Jesus as "my Lord and my God" (KJV, NKJV, ASV, NASB, RSV, NEB, NIV). Clearly Thomas is here calling Jesus "God." Consider:
This statement is clearly addressed to Jesus. Some claim Thomas spoke to the Father, but the passage clearly shows "Thomas answered and said to Him," i.e., to Jesus.

Hebrews 1vs8
The Father said to , "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever" (KJV, NKJV, ASV, NASB, RSV, NEB, NIV). This is a quotation from Psalm 45vs6,7, which is translated exactly the same (KJV, NKJV, ASV, NASB, NIV).
Note that God the Father Himself is here addressing Jesus as "God" (cf. vv 1-9).

Psalm 102vs24
"I said, O my God, Do not take me away..." Hebrews 1vs10-12 directly quotes Psalm 102vs25-27 and says that it was spoken "to the " v8. The context of Psalm 102vs24 shows it is clearly addressed to the same person addressed in vv 25-27.
Hence, in v24 Jesus is addressed as "O my God."

Isaiah 9vs6
Jesus' name would be called "Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God..." This is clearly a prophecy of the , as seen in the beginning of the verse. Hence, Jesus is called "Mighty God."
Some respond that there is no definite article, but this position has been answered on John 1vs1 (see notes there). Note also Isaiah 10vs21 where identical language (EL-GIBBOR), without the article, clearly refers to the one true God (even in the NWT). Cf. Jeremiah 32vs18; Deuteronomy 10vs17; Nehemiah 9vs32.

Titus 2vs13
"...looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (NKJV, NASB, RSV, NEB, NIV, ASV footnote). Older translations say "the great God and our Savior" (KJV, ASV), which some argue implies two separate persons. Consider:
Newer translations listed above all make clear that one person (Jesus) is being referred to both as "God" and "Savior."
We are looking for the glorious appearing of this "great God." But whose appearing are we expecting? Other similar passages refer to the coming of Jesus: 1 Timothy 6vs14 (1 Corinthians 1vs7; Colossians 3vs4; Philippians 3vs20; Acts 1vs11; 2 Timothy 4vs1,8 ).
In the Greek, one article here precedes two descriptive terms ("God" and "Savior") connected by "and." Whenever this is done, both terms describe the same person. In order for two people to be meant, two articles would be needed.

2 Peter 1vs1
"...the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ" (NKJV, NASB, RSV, NEB, NIV, ASV footnote). The point here is the same as on Titus 2:13. The Greek has one article then two descriptive terms separated by "and." The rule described above means both terms refer to the same person. Hence, Jesus is here called "our God" with the definite article.
Conclusion regarding the term "God."
Hence, the Scriptures repeatedly call Jesus "God." But there is only one true God. Jesus is not a false God. Hence, He must be referred to as the one true God. He possesses Deity and is part of the Godhead along with the Father (and the Holy Spirit, as other passages show).
Note Acts 12vs20-23 where Herod was killed for allowing people to call him a god. If Jesus were not Deity, the references to him as "God" in all these passages would be blasphemous. Yet they were spoken by inspired men and were praised by Jesus.

“The First and the Last," "Alpha and Omega"
These terms are used for the Almighty Jehovah God.
Isaiah 44vs6 - "Thus saith Jehovah ... Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God" (ASV). Clearly "the first and the last" refers to the one true God. Like the terms "I am" and "Jehovah," this expression emphasizes God's eternal self-existence (cf. Isaiah 43vs10). See also Isaiah 41vs4; 48vs12.
Revelation 1vs8 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End ... who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Hence, the Almighty, who is eternally existent, calls Himself "the Alpha and the Omega" (the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet), "the Beginning and the End." The meaning is the same as "the first and the last."
Revelation 21vs6,7 also shows that "Alpha and Omega" means the same as "Beginning and End" and refers to God.
These terms are also used for Jesus.
Revelation 1vs17 - "I am the First and the Last." The context (vv 10-20) shows Jesus is speaking. He was like the of Man v13, who lives, was dead, and is alive forever v18. [1vs11 uses these same expressions in NKJV, but they are not in ASV.]
Revelation 2vs8 - "These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life." Clearly this is Jesus again speaking. Some quibble saying this means He was the first and last to be raised by the Father. But no such dodge is available on the next verse.
Revelation 22vs13 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." All three expressions are used together, showing they mean the same thing. The identical use in Revelation 1vs8 proves they refer to the Almighty. But who is speaking here?
The "I" of v13 is identified in v12 as the "I" who comes quickly to reward everyone according to His work. Throughout Revelation this refers to Jesus (Revelation 1vs1,2,7; 3vs3,11; 2vs23; 22vs20; cf. Matthew 16vs27; 2 Corinthians 5vs10). The Father has given all judgment to the (John 5vs22,23).

"Lord of Lords"
This expression is used for the true God.
Scripture sometimes uses "Lord" to refer to people who exercise authority over others (masters or civil rulers). When used religiously, however, it is a term for Deity (Hebrews ADONAI, Gk. kurios).
Deuteronomy 10vs17; Psalm 136vs3; Daniel 2vs47 - The true God is called "Lord of lords" and "Lord of kings." This shows He has supreme authority over all rulers. Others may rule over men, but God rules over all rulers. Hence, "Lord of lords."
Psalm 97vs5; Joshua 3vs11,13 - God is Lord of the whole earth. [Psalm 95vs3]
This expression is also used for Jesus
Revelation 17vs14; 19vs16 - Jesus (the Lamb) is "King of kings" and "Lord of lords."
Acts 10vs36; Romans 10vs12 - He is Lord of all (cf. Lord of the whole earth).
Here is another term used in the Bible to show the supreme authority of God, yet it is used for Jesus.

"I Am"
The expression is a unique name for God
Exodus 3vs13-15 - When God called Moses to lead Israel from captivity, Moses asked God's name. God replied, "I AM WHO I AM." Moses was to tell Israel that "I AM" (Hebrews EHYEH) had sent him.
This expression is related in form to "Jehovah" (ASV footnote). It describes the eternal, self-existing, unchanging nature of God.
"I am" is also used with no modifying words (substantively or absolutely) to describe God in Deuteronomy 32vs39; Isaiah 41vs4; 43vs10,13; 46vs4; 48vs12. The meaning is the same as Exodus 3vs14 [see Keil and others].
The expression is used for Jesus.
John 8vs58 - Jesus said, "...before Abraham was, I AM" (capitals in the original - NKJV; NASB ). Other translations say " I am " (no capitals - KJV, ASV, RSV, NEB, NIV). There are several reasons for believing Jesus intended the meaning to be the same as the name for God in Exodus 3vs14.
"I am" (Gk. ego eimi) has no modifiers (substantive or absolute use) just as in Exodus 3:14. There is no predicate nominative (as "I am tired," "I am a Jew," etc.).
Jesus' statement is clearly intended to claim He has existed eternally. When questioned about how He could be old enough to have seen Abraham (vv 56,57), He said Abraham existed (had a birth and death), but before that, "I am." He did not say, "I was," meaning just that He was older than Abraham. "I am" implies no beginning but just continual existence even prior to Abraham. This is the very significance of the term "I am" as used by God in Exodus 3vs14.
The Jews tried to stone Jesus for this statement (v59). The only possible reason for this reaction is that, knowing the Old Testament and the verb tense Jesus used, they recognized the expression "I am" to be a claim to Deity. Since they did not believe Jesus to be God, they viewed His use of the term to be blasphemy.
Hence, here is another unique name of God which is used by Jesus to refer to Himself. He is the eternally existent "I am."

He is my Lord and my God and I pray He reveals Himself to you in a mighty and new way! God bless you!

Face To Face

We will see Him
In all of His glory
We will meet Him
Face to face

The sky will be opened
The angels all shouting
Here comes your King to
Take you away

And we will see Him
In all of His glory
We will meet Him
Face to face

The graves will bust open
Death is defeated
The seas will spit out their
Watery graves

And we will see Him
In all of His glory
We will meet Him
Face to face

Then those who are waiting
Those who remain
Will rise up to greet Him
Forever changed

And we will see Him
In all of His glory
We will meet Him
Face to face

Yes we will see Him
In all of His glory
We will meet Him
Face to face

‎1 Peter 2 vs 21-23 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps. Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth. Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.

So go ahead and belittle me, curse at me, laugh at me, mock me!
You can do no more to me than they did to Him.

And I will follow His example and like a sheep led to slaughter will not open my mouth but will instead run into the arms of my Father who fights all my battles! And who can stand before a wraithful God!

So go ahead, give me your best shot!
