Do you have someone terminally ill in the family? Even if you just have older parents or grand parents. Keep in mind this can be your last chance to celebrate Christmas with loved ones. We never know what the future holds.

I have been there and done that. Sometimes its a divorce that changes things. Sometimes deaths or sometimes people move away. Be appreciative, be thoughtful of just how special this gathering can be.

Mercy is going through some rough times with her advisor at school over her project. She already has enough to graduate but this is her cdrowning piece on her schooling. It took her 4 years to get to college and its been a battle for her. We would appreciate your prayers.

Things here have been very unusual this year as well. I am not the only one going through this. But I am trying to just stay at peace and know that God is in control at all times.

Look around the blogs, in many places there are some inbetween the line reading where people need some hugs and compassion.

I did one time in the Christmas of 1975. It was the last Christmas that I had with my family before my mom died the following november in 1976.

My dad loved me very much. I wanted a running suit. Back then it was a big thing to an athlete. They had all of these neat ones out there in colors and stripes...Individualism.

Let me tell you about my dad first. I was adopted. He was 37 years older than I was. His father died when he was 13. He helped run a farm at that age and drove truck a little to keep things afloat while still finishing HS in 1938. His dream was to be a Lawyer.

WW2 changed that.It changed him too. He was married in 1940 just as he headed off to war.He spent 4 years there, and was caught in the battle of the bulge. He came back, different. He never talked about whatever he had seen.

Well anyway, that Christmas I was anticipating him getting me the one thing that I wanted so I could be like all of my other friends that I played ball with.

What did he get me? The cheaper Old plain grey sweatchirt and sweat pants. I was so dissappointed. I exchanged them and started looking for what I wanted with some money I received from Christmas as well.

My mom pulled me aside. Your dad bought those for you because loved you. How could you do this to him? Lost in all of this was my dad grew up in the great depression. Everything about him was practical. Its all he knew. So even in love he was always practical.

That experience changed me in many ways. First I was ashamed. I took my running suit that I had bought back and I replaced it with the same that he bought me. I have never ever since, even told anyone what I wanted again.

I didnt want to set myself up for dissappointment again, and I was never going to be ungrateful again over a present. It should be about family.

My Mom died 11 months later. My dad 2 1/2 years after that.

Today I went to my friend Ron's fellowship. I saw many young people there. Most of the church is young people...60-70 of them and manybe 20 adults. I could see the promise in people and see where they would be in time. Just could see their hearts. It was beautiful. Ron is doing a very good thing.

He is reaching out to the teenagers in his area. Most of them dont have church going parents. It is beautiful. They are getting saved and also fed.

Fred Thompson on conservatism.

This is why I support this man for President. He seems to me to be the only one willing to lay out his plans for the problems that face us today. He seems to understand the basic principles of the conservative that has led him to these basic common sense solutions. I know he's not flashy, but I don't care. He understand the role of government in our lives better than any of the other candidates and is by far the most consistent conservative of the top tier candidates. Conservatives drive me nuts when we ask ourselves who is the "true conservative" and then ignore a man like Fred Thompson. This is from Fred talking with Charlie Rose about conservatism..

Charlie Rose says, "You constantly say in this campaign that you're a conservative. What does that mean today?"

THOMPSON: It means things that are consistent with God's design for man. It's consistent with human nature. It's consistent with the lessons of history and the lessons of the ages. They found form in the Constitution, I think, and what our Founding Fathers believed. They understand that man can do great and wonderful things, but man is prone to err and times do terrible things, that too much power in too few hands is a dangerous thing. That power is a corrupting thing.

ROSE: In all of that you didn't mention abortion, gay rights, all the things that have been part of recent presidential elections.

THOMPSON: Well, you're talking about different things there. Those are issues that are before us which derive from principles.

Charlie Rose came back and said, "Principles? What do you mean principles?"

THOMPSON: Principles are what guides you in coming to positions with regard to issues. You know, the Declaration of Independence said that basic rights come from God and not from man. The Founders talked about, you know, life and liberty and the importance of that, and that everything is based on those basic principles. And I take those principles and, you know, for example, I come to the pro-life conclusion there. And when we had issues, you know, for eight years when I was in the United States Senate about whether or not the federal government should be funding, for example, abortion-related activities and things of that nature, you know? The application of those principles in that instance told me the answer was no, properly.

I swear when I hear this man speak it's almost as if I'm listening to the founding fathers. Vote Fred Thompson or else be consistently disapointed in the republican nominee for possibly the next 4 years

John Calvin was a murderer, and there is no evidence that he ever received Jesus Christ as Lord in his lifetime. He believed baptism saves you. He believes in elitism in that we have no choice in our salvation.

so how does someone who does not have the Holy Spirit because he is not saved ever have the ability to translate any scripture. I personally have known Pastors that do not know how to receive Christ and never have.
Yes its demonic
maybe not demonic but certainly whacked out
I am ok as long as they stay away from me
why do they keep pushing it down my throat?
why dont they talk about Jesus instead, he is what is important.
just give me a valuim when they are around
are you sure they arent Jehovah's witnesses?
no.................. but

A friend of mine on here once shared with me, not to get overwhelmed, but to take everything one step at a time.

My steps are a new ring. A phone. A Visa for me. Money for all of this and also for a flight and as well as lodging. A dowry for her family. Money for the marriage and the visa favor and Money to bring her here to me.

That will do it and I thank you for your prayers.

Beware of Christian Scientists

The Origin of Unchristian "Christian Science"

"Christian Science" is a false religion! Just as Joseph Smith founded the Mormons in 1830, and Charles Taze Russell founded the Jehovah's Witnesses in 1874, so Mary Baker Eddy founded the Christian Science religion in 1879.

According to Quackwatch...

"In about 1850, Phineas Parkhurst Quimby of Maine used Anton Mesmer’s ideas of animal magnetism to develop his own healing approach. Quimby would place his hands on a sick patient’s head and abdomen and encourage supposed magnetic healing forces to flow through them. He claimed that diagnosis and cure resulted from the individual’s faith in him. He professed that conventional medicine was useless, that disease itself was “error,” and that only health was “truth.”

In 1862, Quimby treated Mary Baker Glover for a spinal problem that had failed to respond to orthodox medical care. The water massage and hypnotism that he used reportedly had a positive effect. On awakening from her trance Glover found herself cured. She concluded, however, that her cure was not due to Quimby but to “truth in Christ.” In 1875 she published Science and Health, which described her theories about religion based on the Bible and some of Quimby’s ideas. She said that God was the author and that she was only the writer. In 1877 she married for the third time, becoming Mary Baker Eddy, and named her new philosophy Christian Science. The Church of Christ, Scientist was founded in 1879." -SOURCE

According to WIKIPEDIA...

Christian Science is a teaching regarding the efficacy of spiritual healing according to the interpretation of the Bible by Mary Baker Eddy, in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Students of Christian Science are usually, though not always or necessarily, members of the Church of Christ, Scientist. In one sense Christian Science might be regarded as the practice of alternative medicine, but its adherents believe that it is much more than that.

It involves a belief in the possibility of healing wrong-doing deriving from humanity's sense of separation from God (encapsulated in the term "sin") and also of overcoming death itself (the result of sin). At the core of Christian Science is the teaching that illness is an illusion caused by faulty beliefs, and that prayer heals by replacing erroneous thoughts with spiritual (true) ideas. Consequently, healing (and health care) is attempted not through physical manipulation of patients' bodies through drugs, surgery, or otherwise, but rather through prayer and spiritualization of thought. Christian Science practitioners claim that it is both therapeutic (i.e. curative) and preventative [1]. -SOURCE

Damnable Heresies Taught by Christian Science!

Christian Scientists deny the deity of Jesus Christ, deny the Godhead, deny Christ's blood atonement, and deny the sinfulness of mankind. The following quote is by Evangelist John R. Rice, from his excellent book, FALSE DOCTRINES (available from Sword of the Lord publishers), pg. 128,129...

"Before me is the Christian Science Sentinel of December 22, 1934. On page 330 is an editorial which states part of the infidelity of Christian Science which is mentioned many times in Christian Science literature--that is, its teaching that Jesus is not God.

Here is the statement.

'Christian Science is doing much to clarify the thoughts of men regarding the great Way-shower. Among other things, it is correcting THE FALLACY THAT JESUS IS GOD.'

The teaching that Jesus is God, Christian Science says, is a fallacy, that is, is false. Christian Science everywhere teaches that Jesus was kin to God only in the same way that every other man is. Christian Science says much about the life of Jesus, the teaching of Jesus, and so on, but denies the fact of His deity, denies that His blood atones for man's sin, denies that Jesus is very God."

The following doctrines are referenced from the Christian Science work, SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES, by Mary Baker Eddy. It is supposed to be a companion to the Bible.

God is infinite...and there is no other power or source, S&H, 471:18.
God is Universal Principle, S&H 331:18-19
God cannot indwell a person, S&H 336:19-20
God is the only intelligence in the universe, including man S&H 330:11-12
God is Mind, S&H 330:20-21; 469:13
God is the Father-Mother, S&H 331:30; 332:4
The Trinity is Life, Truth, and Love, S&H 331:26
Belief in the traditional doctrine of the Trinity is polytheism, S&H 256:9-11
Christ is the spiritual idea of sonship S&H 331:30-31
Jesus was not the Christ, S&H 333:3-15; 334:3
"Jesus Christ is not God, as Jesus himself declared..." S&H 361:12-13
Jesus did not reflect the fullness of God, S&H 336:20-21
Jesus did not die, S&H 45:32-46:3
The Holy Spirit is divine science, S&H 331:31
There is no devil, S&H 469:13-17
There is no sin, S&H 447:24
Evil and good are not real, S&H, 330:25-27; 470:9-14
Matter, sin, and sickness are not real, but only illusions," S&H 335-15;
447:27-28.
Life is not material or organic, "S&H, 83:21
The sacrifice of Jesus was not sufficient to cleanse from sin, "S&H, 25:6.
True healings are the result of true belief, "S&H, 194:6"
What a bunch of lies!!! Science and Health, together with the Bible, are called the Pastor of Christian Science. In other words, you can't understand the Bible without the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. Of course, that's not true! Every false religion that claims to believe the Bible, also has their own EXCLUSIVE writings or books in addition to the Word of God. For example: The Jehovah's Witnesses follow YOU CAN LIVE FOREVER IN PARADISE ON EARTH, AWAKE magazine, and the writings of Charles Taze Russell. The Mormons follow the BOOK OF MORMON. The Seventh-Day Adventists follow the writings of Ellen G. White, claiming that her writings are inspired, just as much as the Word of God. The Biblical Christian follows the Word of God alone, nothing else.

1st John 2:22 Calls Mrs. Eddy and Christian Scientists "Antichrists"!

According to SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES, by Mary Baker Eddy...

"Jesus was not the Christ," S&H 333:3-15; 334:3

1st John 2:22 states...

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the ."

It doesn't get much plainer than that folks, either you believe the Word of God; or you believe Mary Baker Eddy! It can't be BOTH! The Word of God calls Mrs. Eddy and her followers, liars! Anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Saviour of the world, is a LIAR! Don't get mad at me, get mad at God because He said it.

Christian Science Claims Mrs. Eddy was the Comforter Jesus Promised!

The following helpful quote is by Dr. John R. Rice, from his excellent book, FALSE DOCTRINES, pg. 134,135...

"In this Christian Science Sentinel for December 22,1934, in an article on 'Happy Christmas,' page 323, is the following paragraph...

'As patriarch and prophet foretold the coming of the Messiah, so did Jesus Himself promise a future and further unfoldment of the truth which he taught and demonstrated. When speaking of this, he used the beautiful word "Comforter:" "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever, even the spirit of truth." THIS PROPHECY WAS FULFILLED OVER SIXTY YEARS AGO, WHEN, AT A TIME OF GREAT MENTAL AND RELIGIOUS UNREST AND DISSATISFACTION, MARY BAKER EDDY CAME BEFORE THE WORLD WITH HER DISCOVERY OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE. THE COMFORTER which has brought and is bringing health, joy, good success, freedom and peace with God to thousands of weary, suffering mortals all over the globe.'

Jesus promised in the fourteenth chapter of John that after He went away He would send the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. That certainly was fulfilled when after the ascension of Christ, at Pentecost the Holy Spirit was poured out in great power. We are plainly told in the Bible that every Christian has the Holy Spirit dwelling in him (1st Corinthians 3:16,17; 1st Corinthians 6:19,20; 2nd Corinthians 6:16; Romans 8:9). But Mary Baker Eddy claims that she and her writings fulfill the promise of the coming of the Holy Spirit. This is blasphemy, infidelity, and the curse of God is upon it."

Christian Science Teaches a Works Salvation!

"Salvation lies in bringing oneself into harmony with one's true nature as God's reflection, through good works, patience, meekness, love, watchfulness, prayerful gratitude, devout obedience in following Christ's example. There are two basic commandments: that one turn only to God, perfect Mind, for guidance--the Mind that was also in Christ; and that one 'love thy neighbor as thyself.' Healing and immortality are realized by becoming conscious that the only true reality is God, which is Love, and that one's true and only nature is in God's likeness. As one realizes the error of belief in the reality of suffering and evil, these images of thought impressed upon the mortal mind can be altered, thus banishing sickness, death, and sin--testimony to the power of faith in God, of Mind over matter." -SOURCE

Clearly, this is damnable heresy! John 14:6 declares, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." There has always been one plan of salvation, and only one--by faith alone in Christ Jesus. Acts 16:31 states, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Apart from Jesus Christ, there can be no salvation (Acts 4:12). All the good works in the world won't merit anyone Heaven (Isaiah 64:6; Romans 11:6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5).

Christian Science has no doctrine which teaches a sinner that he needs to be saved. Just as Wiccan witches, Christian Scientists do not see themselves as sinners. Therefore, they see no need for a personal Saviour. Christian Science cultists do not believe in being born again. In fact, Christian Scientists deny most fundamental doctrines of the Bible. They don't believe that Jesus is God; but, they do follow Mary Baker Eddy as God. For Christian Scientists to recognize Mrs. Eddy as the promised "Comforter" is absurd! Dr. John R. Rice states on page 136 of FALSE DOCTRINES...

"Any religion that puts the writings of a woman equal with the sayings of Jesus Christ and calls her the fulfillment of the coming of the Holy Spirit is blasphemy, is infidelity and antichristian."

And again on Page 136,137 Dr. Rice states...

"Christian Science" lecturers regularly deny the fact of sin, the deity of Christ, the blood atonement, the need for personal, supernatural regeneration, and the eternal punishment of the wicked. To a Christian Scientist, the Bible is no more inspired than the works of Mary Baker Eddy, and Christ is no more divine than she was. A great many good people are deceived by so-called Christian Science, thinking it to be Christian, but in fact it is not."

Conclusion

I do not write articles to be unkind; but out of love, to warn people. The Devil is a master deceiver and wants nothing less than the total destruction of your life (John 10:10). There is nothing Christian about "Christian Science"! It is a damnable religion of lies and false teachings. I plead with you to forsake the deadly snake of Christian Science and follow the Word of God alone. Christian Science is becoming increasingly popular in these last days...

"Spurred by the resurgence of interest in spirituality and healing, the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910) sold its 10 millionth copy in April 2001." -SOURCE

Don't be fooled, Christian Science is of the Devil. The best way to EXPOSE Satan's works of darkness is to shine the light of God's Word upon it. You can't be deceived if you know God's Word. God's Word
