Jammy Day!

Sunday, after church, is jammy day! I go home, take off the dress, and slip on the JAMMYS!! I kick back the rest of the day.
Usually, I am alone in that area. My girlies always find something else to do. Today, it was different.
My girls hung out with me until the youngest fell asleep on the couch. We watched movies all day and joked around, ate dinner together, popcorn, and all that good stuff.
Family time is the best time! No one had issues, or had to run somewhere, or do something. Nothing but the three of us. It was GREAT!
God is so good! He created families, and the love we need to be one. THANK YOU JESUS!!

I tell you what! All those chocolates I ate, guess where they are now? That's right, connected to areas I don't want them!
It's time to get back to that power walkin'! If you don't power walk, then run, lift weights, whatever it takes to burn off those goodies!
When the goodies are gone, our pants fit again! Our dresses zip! We LOOK WAY BETTER!
God help us even though we were unable to resist that pie, cookie, or all those yummy things people shared!
It's time, it's almost New Years! The challenge is out there. I'll keep you posted! It would be fun if you kept me posted on YOUR progress. Come on everybody, slip on those tenny runners, and hop to it!

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

Mary never thought that it was possible for her to conceive without "knowing" a man. Yet, she believed and it came to pass. I am certain Joseph didn't think it was possible for her to "not be stoned". Yet, they never stoned her, although it was the custom at the time.
The disciples saw many things happen which they never thought were possible. Feeding the 5ooo, healing of many people with incurable diseases, Jesus rising again.
Jesus tells us that all things are possible through Him.
As many of you know He answered my prayer with way more than I asked for! All I prayed for was a new floor in my living room and dining room. Not only did I get a tiled dining room, and carpeted living room, hallway, and stairs.................. He also blessed me with a new gas fireplace that heats the upstairs, a bay window, new doors and trim in the hallway, recessed lighting in my living room, a 42' Plasma TV, an oak fireplace mantel, a new insulated garage door, new fire detectors, a water heater, fresh paint of my choice. Just when I thought they were done..........they brought in a leather couch with matching chair, another chair, 2 coffee tables, a large accent rug, a mirror, 4 accent wall hangings, and an accent piece for the coffee table. THEN, they brought in a tree with decorations for us!
Hey, all I prayed for was flooring! THANK YOU JESUS!! We have been blessed!!
All things are possible through Jesus Christ our Savior!! Praise GOD!!

Winning a BIG Contest!

Recently I won a BIG contest! It was called the Perfect Homes Family/Living Room Facelift. I wrote a letter, and sent pictures of my living room, and I WON!
I have been overwhelmed. I am having trouble sleeping, because I lay awake thinking about all the things they have planned for our home.
It has become more than just the living room they are remodeling. They just see other stuff, and do it too! Things like, oh gee, we're running gas to the house, let's go ahead and replace that water heater in the salon downstairs!
Well you know, the trim in the hallway is dark, and we're putting golden oak in the living room, we better replace the dark stuff in the hallway so it matches.
Oh, and the stairs and dining area flow into the living room, so we better carpet the stariway to match, and wouldn't tile look nice in the dining room?
They started demoing yesterday. They ripped out the old fireplace, which will be replaced with a new gas fireplace with tile around it.
The electrician came in and put recessed lighting in the living room. How cool to have light in there!
Of course they cleared what I hadn't out of the living room, and put in the garage. They are talking about some furniture too.
This is sponsored by our local TV station, and all of these companys volunteer to do the work. They are literally doing THOUSANDS of dollars worth of work! Yes, I have to pay a gift tax, but what is $800 to $1000 dollars in taxes for $10,000 or more worth of work done to your home?
As you can imagine, this is a HUGE blessing for a paycheck to paycheck gal with two ! We are just so excited! Autumn made cookies for the guys lastnight. They are all a great bunch of guys, and a few girls too.

Taking the High Road

I have had a very difficult life. When I found the Lord 10+ years ago, He gave me hope. Unfortunately, my life remained difficult within my marriage. I hung onto Him believing He would fix everything for us. When I found out about my husbands affair, I was angry and hurt. I was mad at God! After all, I had put all my trust and hope in Him.
I soon realized that we were given a choice. My husband, and myself. I chose to remain faithful regardless of the physical rejection from my husband, and trust in God that he would one day see what he had done to our marriage.
He, on the other hand, fell right into Satan's trap, and chose to go down the path that he led him down.
Here is the blessing in it. God had watched my misery, he knew all the things my husband was doing that I was unaware of. I prayed to Him, "Heavenly Father, I have done all that I can to fix this marriage. If Your will is that I remain in this marriage full of rejection, than I will do it. If it is not Your will, than make something happen."
God revealed the affair to me. Although, I was devastated, He had given me an "out". A free pass. I could do one of two things, I could divorce him, as adultery is biblical grounds for divorce, or I could forgive him and accept him back into my life. At first I took the low road and drew up the papers. Then as the court date drew closer, I took the high road, and offered reconciliation. He was determined that we could only have a clean slate if we went through with it and then remarried. What kind of nonsense is that?
I say all of this to come to this: We should never allow anyone to affect our walk with Him. No one, should ever be given the opportunity to interfere with what God has in store for us. He has a plan, and if someone is trailing behind, we must forge ahead! Their walk is not our responsibility, it is theirs. Our goal, must always be to please the Father, and do what He is leading US to do.
I hang with a lot of the older folks, every other Friday night, we have a potluck and play dominoes. We have a blast. They love to have me there, I bring them laughter. I also go to the theater with older ladies about every six weeks. I have season tickets. The only thing we have in common is God and silver hair!
I find that the younger people in my church aren't as close to God. They aren't walking in His ways. It seems like they just come to church so they can say that they go. They aren't bold in Christ.
I am not a perfect Christian. I have my "fruit" issues that I am still working on, but don't we all? How many people have you met that have them all? Well, maybe you. For the most part, we all have our faults, that is why we live under grace. The biggest thing is that we must daily be working towards the prize. I personally, want to be right up front so I SEE Him as I worship Him. I want to dance with David on the streets of gold! (not necessarily in my skivvies!) I want to dangle my feet in the river of life!! I want lots of jewels in my crown. (I already have the halo, ha ha!)
The way we lead our lives is a huge plug for God. So I will "plug" along, get through the bad stuff, and go for the gold! I know that He is watching and listening to me. Sure I am sometimes naughty, but if I wasn't I wouldn't be me, and I am who He has CHOSEN to be His princess! I am the of a KING!!
So I challenge everyone to BUCK up in times of trouble. Muddle through it with Christ at your right hand! Lean not unto your own expectations, and trust in the Lord your God!

Double Prayer Testimony!!

Hey Everyone!! I just have to share what the Lord has done for me through my prayers, and the prayers of the Saints!!
Many of you know that my was in the hospital. She was in pre-term labor at 29 weeks. A kidney infection had triggered it. People from BC, my home church, my Mom's home church in Ohio, and my girlfriend's home church in Republic, WA, all began praying for Nessa and the baby. The doctors were sure she would have the baby soon, way too soon!!
Nessa and "Elijah", were released last Tuesday, after 11 days. The kidney infection was gone, the kidney damaged, but they say it will rejuvenate itself. "Elijah" is still in the womb, with the contractions stopped. They did a test which said she would deliver within 7 to 14 days. This is day 8. God's hand is on this!! I know that the baby won't come until he can survive without equipment!! Believing is the key to all prayers!!
The other prayer testimony is also VERY COOL!! Last summer, in July, my living room carpet was so bad, I had to rip it up. Every time I had enough money, something would happen! First the TV went out, then my mattress on my bed was killing my back, so I had to get a new one. Next, my daughters car needed brakes really bad. The final issue, was some surgery I needed. My finances were completely drained.
In September, I began to pray for a new floor believing that God would make it happen by Thanksgiving. It is no fun, not to mention embarrassing, to have a plywood floor in your living room!!
On November 14, I saw this commercial about a contest run through a local news station KHQ. It was called "Perfect Home Family Room Face lift." I thought, what could it hurt to enter the contest. I went on-line and entered a letter and pictures of our sad living room.
On November 26, I got a phone call from KHQ!! Out of 100 entries, I WON!! Not only do I get a new floor, but an entire room makeover!! Is that GOD or WHAT!! They start on Dec. 3, and will be done by the 19th!! They interviewed me over the phone on TV this AM, and showed the pictures. On the 19th, they will be coming to our home, to interview us and see the finished project. We will be on TV!! How cool is that!!
The power of prayer is an awesome thing!! Believing it will happen, makes prayers even more powerful. Our God, is an AWESOME GOD!!

Lonely for the Holidays??

Yep, it's that time of year again. I always get lonely around this time. I have my 3 daughters, but I have to share them, and well, I always wind up by myself for half of those special days.
I think we get lonely, because the holiday season is such a special time, we reminisce of past holiday seasons when we had whole families.
I moved to the Spokane area to get married. I really have no "close" family here. We are kind of spread across the country. You know Alaska, California, Arizona, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida. Here's little old me, in the great Northwest.
I do have my church family, but hey, they have their own families to spend time with.
Maybe I'm just feeling sorry for myself, but what's a nice girl like me, doing by herself on Christmas? Sure the girls are here half the day, then it's just me and the animals. Wow!! That's a great time. Besides, who's gonna buy me that diamond ring everyone always gets in the commercials? I want one!!
Truth is, I'm alone, because God must still be doing a work in me. I do wish He would hurry up though. Being without someone to spend your life with, and tell all your secrets to is not that much fun. I always have to remind myself that He has the perfect mate chosen for me. I just don't like His timing!!
Just last Sunday, before worship started, I was standing up on the platform, and I looked over at a girlfriend. I said," You know Leanne, one of these days a Godly man is going to walk through that door just for me." She said,"Yep, and your going to look into each others eyes, and know you were meant for each other."
I have to believe that it's true. I work from home, so I'm not really "out there" allot. God has a plan for me, and for that special someone. It is unfortunate that every day to Him is a thousand years to us!
But I am confident, and I will, once again, make it through a holiday season, by focusing on Him, and His birth, and what it promised us. One day, when I'm not thinking about it, there he will be, and my wait will be over. The first thing I will say is, "Thank you Jesus! Praise you for being the light of the world and the center of my life! The One Who blesses me and my family, and is our provision!

Hey everyone, I have been out of town over this last week end. My , Nessa, has been having pre-term labor at 29 weeks. The doctors have been trying to stop her contrations. They believe they were caused from a bladder AND a kidney infection.
At any rate the little bugger thinks he is big enough at 3 lbs. 1 oz. to head out!! We need to keep him in there for a while longer. If you could please pray for her and "Elijah" that would be so awesome!! He has all his fingers and toes, but he's just not quite ready to come into this world.
All things are possible through Him who Heals US!!
