i *finally* got heat into the church. i ran a flex hose from the furnace in the basement, under the steps to my apartment in the hallway, through the hallway on the floor, which i covered with a little wooden tunnel, and busted a vent into the crosswall in the church. it isn't exactly beautiful, but it works. it was nice and toasty in the church tonite.

i was an improvised thriftshop spiderman this halloween. the spidey head was a sort of stuffed halloween basket that i sewed to a hat. the spidey shorts are actually toddler spiderman boxers bursting at all the seams. and i died my beard red because the grey looked silly

my cat hobbes thinks she is a dog. she comes crying every morning to go out in the 'yard.' i use the term yard loosely because we don't really have a yard, the building takes up the entire lot, so we only have a gangway. but hobbes doesn't seem to mind, she runs from one end to the other like she owns the place. she could hop the fence if she wanted, but she is a loyal catdog and stays put.

i built a 7 foot cross out of some rinky dinky bed posts i found in the garbage. i put it up on the roof of the church today. the picture is a front and back shot. the green/blue thing is full of concrete, and i have it all strapped to an ornamental stone that was on the roof so securely that i coodn't get it off.

i took my cross collection and made a collage of crosses on the wall between the church and my apartment. there is a hallway in between too with shelves of crosses and i keep a book case full of bibles in the hall. there is a door to the gangway for smokers.

praise the lord!

it is SO cool. i moved in this july. so far we just have music, open mic on friday nights. we opened at the end of august. that has been hit or miss. a couple good nites, and couple kinda dead. it is just what i do on friday nites now. it is like having people in my living room
