now that i am a SILVER member, i have a right to expect some standard services around here. this place has been like an out of season carnival. NOTHING works and nobody is fixing it.
comments on blogs don't show up for days, or disappear all together. blog posts are held pending for weeks. the SAME stuff is displaying on the main pages EVERY day. NOTHING IS BEING UPDATED.
it is like a stagnant pond. the dead sea.
this place is SO going down. it is like poised to run and hide at any given second. save your money and your integrety and do not buy a membership here or sell your soul for credits. this is no longer an fully operating network. it is running on rubberbands and super glue. and maybe squirrel running in a wheel.

i signed up for italian friend finders...i uploaded a video introduction (me and rupert singing)...i created group posts...etc.
i didn't even know there were groups here? they are as dead as the blogs.
i am not proud, but i AM a member, and as said member:

i just can't stand blogs without pictures.
they are just characters on a screen and do not invite you to read.
therefor, i have decided to play BCs game and get a membership so i can have pictures on this blog. i am selling my soul to BC and doing EVERYTHING they list to gain points that i can redeem in membership. i have done this before in a previous BC life and i think there are enough points available to get a 3 month membership.
NO FORKING WAY am i paying for a membership here. this place is falling apart. we never even know if it will be here from one day to the next. they just forking disappeared for a few years a year ago. and now they want my money? NO FORKING WAY.

i found out why BC isn't posting our pictures on our blogs anymore. they changed thier rules. you have to be silver or gold to get pics on blogs now. i have a pic of the screen that says that, but i can't post it.
this is a really rotten way to thank us bloggers for the way we have been hanging in there through all of this BC re-organiziation crap. they have forgotten who thier REAL customers are.
way to go big church. it is ONLY about the money to you.

i couldn't respond to freespirit's last blog post about meow on her blog, so i thought i would do it here.
firstly, i feel a little better knowing that i am not the only one here feeling that petey has been a little over the top. his response to my stalker problem here was WAY out of line. he said i deserved to be stalked and have 4 years of my life work taken away from me because he veiws my faith as 'flippant.' i am not going to argue this now, i only bring it up as a nasty example.
secondly, i don't know that pete is beyond redemption as free suggests. he is just a grumpy old man in a wheelchair. wouldn't you be grumpy too? also unlike free, i never thought pete's posts were really very enlightening. they just seem to me to be endless rhetorical questions in bold or ital and colors that don't really say squat about squat. they aren't really rhetorical, he just assumes they are. i read pete's posts and comments on peoples'posts and have NO FORKING IDEA what he is trying to say. but i like pete anyways. you don't have to be coherent all the time. lord knows i am not always.
thirdly, so what? so pete is grumpy? so what?
EVERYBODY on this site has issues. just step into chat and you will see first hand how many basket cases we have here. the blogs here are even worse. there are a majority of bloggers who can neither communicate effectively or have a valid point to even make. i am USED to everyone here being whacked and so am always poised to forgive.
you don't slap retarded around to try to get them make more sense. you don't insist that foreigners know english when they don't. petey is just a little special too.

it occurs to me that i haven't done a bible commentary in a while. to tell true, i haven't been reading it as faithfully as i had been...the new job has kind of eaten up a lot of my free time. but i have been at it as i can, and i have just finished romans.i think that i liked paul much better in acts than in his letters to churches. in acts he was a crusader, a hero, a soldier of the lord.
in corrinthians he was a preacher wagging a finger, in thessalonians as well. although in both he still lays out a lot of great theology, he is overall getting a little droll.in romans he really goes over the edge and is talking in circles a lot. i had to re-read it as i was reading it, and still wasn't getting his point.
jesus talked in circles a lot too, but when i would re-read him, i would get it (usually). with paul in romans, i was not getting more than i was. one thing i totally got, and i really liked, was the slave to righteousness thing. i could really get my heart around that. yes, i am a slave to righteousness. i used to be a slave to sin, but now i am a slave to righteousness.it is amazing how many times in any given day that my old self starts, almost second nature, to do something that my new self doesn't do anymore. not neccesarily because it is sin, although sometimes it is, but because it isn't the right thing to do. or the most right thing to do.
in my past, i would lie without thinking twice, take something that wasn't mine, be cruel, be thoughtless, etc. now, i consider what i am doing and weigh it's value and it's rightousness before i do it. many times, i will then think of a much more right thing to do and will get a little kick out of doing it. i am a slave to righteousness.another thing that i liked was his teaching about laying out obstacles for our brethren. it is in my (old) nature to argue and to voice my opinions very strongly. i found myself in not a few contentious issues right here on this site.
then i realized that i didn't need to prove anything to anyone, and that by fighting for my point i might be hurting someone else's walk.in romans, paul says not to do that. i had figured that out before i read it, but he puts it into words that are easy to understand.
there is a brother here who was worried for me. he thought that i had succommed to the wishes and opinions of the self-sanctified that were not necessarily founded in scripture. he thought that i was afraid to perform certain actions or acts because of what some people said and beleived. he was mistaken. i was only afraid to cause such people, who were obviously weaker than i, to doubt themselves and stumble.
paul says that if it is really important to someone's faith not to eat meat, then we should not eat meat around him, even if we believe he is wrong. anything that might rock another's faith is wrong. even if the thing in question is not really wrong.
anyway. this is all, of course, my take on this. i will keep reading and keep commentating on what i find. i hope i get to some more red letters soon. before romans, i had been in kings and chronicles, and i am WAY overdue for some more personal jesus.

i have been accusing marky of contacting my pastor and lieing about me ever since someone contacted my pastor and lied about me. at that time, i AUTOMATICALLY blamed marky because he did the same thing to char, and at that time he and i were fighting a lot in chat. of course i always would win and he would always run away totally flamed.
however, i had NEVER asked my pastor who was writing him and what he was saying. i just instantly assumed marky. there was also an instance of the person writing him again between the first time, and lately, and marky and i were not fighting then. it sort of surprised me, but i just let it go.
recently i asked my pastor about such details, and my pastor doesn't even remember. he told me he makes post it note reminders about things that he needs to mention to congregation members, but once he mentions what he needed to, he TOTALLY forgets about it. he has too many sheep to remember all the personal details all the time.
coupled with marky's own feeble attempts to remember if he wrote my pastor or not, i have begun thinking:
what if it isn't marky?
then who the heck is it? i have another retarded adversary onlinef as whacked and maliscious as marky? lord, i hope not.
it really doesn't matter. it is over. and WHOEVER tried to defame me has failed. while it is good to keep your dangerous enemies close, it really isn't important to worry about impotent enemies so much.
SO. to whomever tried to hurt me. wow. good try, but no cigar.
i am sorry for whatever i did that pissed you off that much, and i will never do it again. now go stalk someone else.
and marky, if it was not you, i apologize. but you still did it to char and caff and i still don't trust you. if it WAS you marky, i know where you live and flights are cheap lately.

calling all computer geeks

i have not really kept up with breaking developments in computing. i have been using an e-machines pentium dubba core 2.7ghz, 4GB memory and windows 7. it is a good computer, but i want to upgrade, and i really have no clue what to get.
i want another tower laptop, i have been looking at the intel quad? i think that is it. i am not trying to build a gaming computer, but i do a lot of high end graphics and audio. what i am hoping to get is LAST YEARS latest and greatest at a little reduced price.
does anyone have any advice as far as the processor and speed?
