i bought myself new teeth for christmas. i got a deal on 3 upper implants and started the process in late november. we are FINALLY getting done with it and they are supposed to plant the final teeth today.
i will be SO happy to not have to use my falsies anymore. thank you god.

they banned a comment on petes blog the other day that had NOTHING at all un-allowed in it. i reposted it here on my blog as a post and suddenly it was allowed?
now they banned TWO comments i made on my OWN blog, both of which were completely innocent?
what is going on BC? get a clue. if you are going to do NOTHING and let this place go to heck, that is your choice. but don't start trying to do SOMETHING on my blog that has NO basis in reality. i am a PAID silver member!!!
you be the judge, here are the comments that were banned in thier entirety:
1. "i have copyrighted *barb* which means be almost rite back "
2. "and KMAASI (kiss my butt and smell it)"
OK OK OK. number 2. is a little racey, but still, the swear is only inferred. this is MY blog and i have said worse here. not only that but the A word is in the bible.
STOP CENSORING ME UNFAIRLY!!!!! I AM A PAID UP MEMBER!!!
THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!

this was the WORST winter i have ever seen and i am really OLD. there are STILL snow mountains around.
i remember the chicago blizzard of 67. it is true that i only remember it as FUN and didn't have to drive a vehicle in it. even so, it was more like a freak storm and then it was over. it was not relentless and did not go on for several months.
i remember a few other bad winters. one in the late 70s when i was first driving. not this bad. this was definitely a guiness book winter for chicago.
thank god it is over. thank god i survived.

i am SO sick of people accusing others of sin just because something is not in line with thier own personal codes.
sin, in greek, is hamartia (roughly). it means literally "to miss the mark." the term is in reference to not completely fullfilling the letter of the law, which is not possible for just regular old humans. only christ.
so then, what IS "the mark?"
it is the torah as laid out in the end of numbers, through leviticus and deuteronomy. i guess there are some fairly clear directives also handed down from the prophets. like when god says tell them not to be doing that. jesus also dropped a few thou shall nots.
OTHERWISE, it is NOT commandment, and to not hit some arbitrary mark that individuals have arbitrarily decided was important 2000 years after christ, is NOT sin.
prissy pretend christians may despise swearing, or nudity, or fart jokes....etc.
but that does NOT make them sin.
telling people they are sinning when they are not is a sin. we are not even called to point out the sins of others unless we are trying to help them.
so PLEASE. real sins are bad enough, you don't have to make up your own. and if you still feel the need to, PLEASE, keep them to yourselves.

i saw it under recent blog posts and HAD to go see the post, and then it was just about birds or something and you couldn't post any comments to it.

i have been trying to earn points to keep getting pictures on my blog. my current silver membership runs out soon. i just mailed off for confirm ID, which gives me 1,000 points. i have been prostituting myself for points here for a month or so already.
you can get more points if you register on other friend finder sites, if they are even working anymore. i tried to rejister at jewish finder and it locked up every time. same with a few of the other sister sites. nobody home.
right now i am trying to register on amigos finder, and it is just locking up too. it has been "processing" the whole time i wrote this post. they are not making this easy.

puppy potty

i am trying to find another mastiff/pitt puppy to replace calvin. i am still really sad, but he has been gone longer than he was here. also, there are not a lot of mastiffs to be had for less than hundreds of dollars.
in any case, we are FINALLY wrapping up the plumbing in the apartment in the basement. the only thing remaining is the toilet. i bought a special pump for the toilet, because it has to push its flushes UP to the drain. i am planning to also use the pump to push poop from the yard down the drain.
i have hot and cold running water in the gangway, and i am going to put a little 16" x 6' platform 1 foot off the ground. it will work sort of like a pool table. the top will be level to the ground (but a grille to let things pass through) and under that will be sloped to let waste run to the sewer.
we are bringing out a pipe from the sewer in the basement where the puppy potty will attach. there is already a down spout from the gutters tying in there, it won't be that hard to make it a Y with two openings.
calvin was just a little guy, but he could really mess up the yard in a few days. on top of that, i don't really have a yard, just a 3 feet wide x 40 ft long cement gangway. that can fill up with poop really quick.
ADDENDUM: i have been researching this, and i am not the first one to think of this. i think i have a good idea of what this should look like.
