i always joke that i have been retarded for 8 years. or retired. i mix those up. they are very similar. i didn't plan to retire this early, it just sort of happened. i couldn't even deal with it at first, which is a big part of why i went to school.
now that school is over, here am i again with WAY too much time on my hands. it is great and terrifying at the same time. one of my favoritist ways to start a day is to sleep late and do bongs while i blog or chat. this is ok if it doesn't last thru lunch, and sometimes dinner.
it has been hard to not feel guilty about just vegging out sometimes. i always feel like it is ok to veg for a time, but i need to do something 'useful' every day too. the basement apartment project is nearly done, i will finish it up at night over the summer. it is cool in the basement here at night.
it is a real blessing being able to decide what useful thing i am going to do next instead of someone demanding i do something THEY say. but then again, sometimes the most unfun tasks NEVER seem to get done. i guess that is ok too, i am retared.

as long as this subject has been broached, i would like to point out that i have been noticing farts EVERYWHERE on TV lately. you can not watch FOX's sunday night animation line up without experiencing a dozen or more cartoon characters farting. usually the fart is the punch line of a gag.
i have noticed an abundance of fart jokes in network TV as well. 2 1/2 men will use at least 1 an episode. so will community and even parks and rec. i have even seen farts used for levity on cop dramas more than a few times.
face it. farts are part of life and humor. there is nothing wrong with farts. i mean other than the smell and occasional splatter

NOBODY can judge my heart except god.
frankly, when people think they can judge my heart it makes me sad for them. if they actually read the bible, they know it is a sin to judge. they evidently must think they are god. that is really sad on so many levels.
that said, in my own defense, my sick sense of humor does not reflect on my faith at all. probly it reflects on my upbringing. i grew up a street rat in chicago. neither of my parents know god and they both have borderline sick senses of humor. i was the oldest of 5 and we all have the same lower echelon humor. we like fart jokes. sue us.
however, fart jokes are not sin.
you can not like fart jokes, that is your priveledge. but to call me a sinner for liking fart jokes is a sin.
also: i am NOT responsible for what people i refferred to BC post on the blogs they create. BC has caused me to myself for points in order to have pictures on my blog. i have referred several others that like fart jokes in order to earn points so that i can continue to have blog pictures. what they do with that membership has NOTHING to do with me. just give me the points maam.
i am not guilty of sin everytime someone i here referred posts a fart joke. so please, BLUE HAIR, differentiate before you start accusations. i did NOT post the blog post you have attributed to me in your blog post. THAT post is what stirred up the little anti-christ coven of persecution i am addressing here.
read your bibles foos. it is NOT your christian duty to judge and persecute. rather, it is SIN.
all you self righteous pharisees have NO clue how i live my life. my life is VERY much dedicated to christ. the ONLY thing you JUDGE on is a few minutes i spend here to UNWIND. the rest of my life is REALLY pretty boring. i don't have much sin in my life at all.
my ONE achilles heel is reefer. and that is not so bad as far as vices go. i even try not to swear or be grumpy. i definitely try not to judge others or intentially cause them to fall from christ.
y'all need to READ your bibles and pray some more before you persecute.

i have found something called a heliostat, which tracks and makes adjustments to the sun's movements so that it can keep a focused reflection of its rays in the same spot here on earth as the sun moves. i didn't realize that this was even a thing.
i have been playing with mirrors and chrome panels trying to get sun into my gangway. i don't have a yard, just the gangway. it gets sun everyday from 11:00 to 1:00 and then it is over. the sun at 11:00 and at 1:00 are on opposite ends of the 'yard' so i have to keep moving to stay in that sun. i have benches at either end, but i keep looking for a way to get sun across the whole space for longer than two hours.
enter the sunflower. it is a solar powered device that will so what i am looking to do. the only problem is that it is $300. i think i am still going to break down and buy one. i needs my sun.
i also hid a guitar hanger in a fake tree by one of the benches for easier access. you can kind of see it hiding in the fake leaves on the side of the bench

just case i have not said this here, good riddance web. after careful analysis of the sitiation, i have concluded that web is the most likely culprit for the hate mongering at my seminary. i had forgotten that he had displayed superior stalking qualities in chat several years ago. i had actually forgotten all about him until he showed up recently. i hope to forget about him again soon.
on that subject...my school STILL continues to put up hoops for me to jump through, that i have decided NOT to jump through. i suppose that i owe webface gratitude for causing a situation that caused my school to show the true nature of its ugliness. i don't need to be a part of any organization that would have me as a member.
but i miss pete. i must have ticked him off, because he was ALWAYS on my blog. pete, i love you man. i only have had to rebuke you because you were WAY south of reality. EVERYBODY else has been harder on you than i am. pete, you are NOT god. stop judging everyone and just love us, with all our faults.
pete, listen closely:
it is not your job to tell us all what to do.
it is only your job to love us.
you can just be careful not to step in our mess.

i got a phone message today from someone asking if i found calvin yet?
they didn't give any information other than a call back, they said they saw my sign at a nearby corner and asked if i found him yet.
he has been missing 3 months, i only had him for 2. it is wierd to hope now.
if it is him, he will be a lot bigger.

this is my latest creation. .
i didn't have to drill the glass for this one, it is of the rubber stopper variety. when i do drill these, i find that i break more bottles than i successfully drill. i have done some research and learned a few tricks. it is really fun (if i don't lose an eye).
i really enjoy this hobby even though it is a little south of most people's tastes. to create something scientifically valid that actually has to function is a challenge. then getting to use it practically for something you love makes it somehow wonderful.
some will work better than others. i have not been into it enough to know what makes the difference between a great bong and an OK bong...but i have gotten lucky and come up with some really great ones. in the head shops, decent bongs go for $75+. i have seen big ones priced at $300. i am making these for pennies. and it is fun.

doggy doo drain

i FINALLY got all the way through the foundation for the drain for the doggy potty i have blogged about previously. i would not have thought it would be that much work. i completely devastated two previously good drills. i bought a new one online that worked a little better, but it was still a battle to get through the cement.
even still, that is just a 3" pipe in the picture and i really want a 4" pipe for those really BIG doos. it probably won't be that much more work to get to 4". it is easier to knock stuff down once it is all the way through. just getting a small hole all the way through when i started took half a day.
the plumbing on the other side isn't hooked up yet. when it rained the other day i had a good soggy mess underneath the crawlspace where it goes into the basement. my friend mike from colorado has been staying here since october. he is a plumber and has been plumbing for rent. he is leaving at the end of the month. we have to finish the human toilet in the basement and the doggie toilet in the gangway before he goes.
we put in a shower, sink & urinal in the basement already, a kitchen sink, an extra floor drain, and hot and cold running water into the gangway for help with keeping the doggie toilet clean. all this work would have cost me a FORTUNE if i had to hire a plumber. labor was kind of free, i don't count on rental income. i am really just trying to make it nicer for friends and family and to keep me company.

i found another mastif/pitt puppy on craigs. TWO actually, but one of them is probably too old already to get along with hobbes the way that calvin did.
i wrote both people and will see what happens.
this is the bigger one. he is only 8 months old. the other one is 4 months old and doesn't have a picture.
