Something To Think About

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like some one, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for health; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just wantto pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

STRONG WOMAN VS WOMAN OF STRENGTH

A STRONG WOMAN
VERSUS A WOMAN OF STRENGTH

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape..but a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything ...but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...but a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...a woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected
blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...but a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

WHY WOULD GOD WANT ME ?

I'm not perfect. I have all kinds of problems. I have no ability. I have no gifts. I'm just not worthy. Why would God want me?
Well, did you know that....

Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
John Mark deserted Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a .
Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was too poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a persecutor of the church.
Moses was a murderer.
Jonah ran from God's will.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worry-wart.
Noah got drunk.
Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul - well, lots of folks did.

But God doesn't require a job interview for salvation. He's our Heavenly Father. He doesn't look at financial gain or loss. He's not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need. He know who we are and what we are and loves us in spite of ourselves

SATAN SAYS, "YOU'RE NOT WORTHY."
JESUS SAYS, "SO WHAT? I AM."
SATAN LOOKS BACK AND SEES OUR MISTAKES.
GOD LOOKS BACK AND SEES THE CROSS.

He doesn't calculate how you failed in the past. It's not even on the record.

Sure, there are lots of reasons why God shouldn't call us. But if we are in love with Him, if we hunger for Him, He'll use us in spite of who we are, where we've been, what we have done, or the fact that we are not perfect!

What Did You Expect?

Jesus was born in a manger;
to a poor unwed mother;
was raised as a carpenter's ;
was vagrant and homeless in His ministry;
He chose unqualified men as disciples;
He spoke in parables;
He loved the unlovable;
was hated by the church leaders;
was considered a rebel and outlaw;
was prosecuted as a criminal;
was put on death row;
was tortured beyond recognition;
and crucified in the most horrific manner imaginable;
then put in a borrowed tomb.

Now that was nothing the world expected their coming Messiah,
King of kings, Lord of lords to be like at all.

God never does things the way we expect them.

In Favor Of Women

Now I will speak on behalf of women to take away their reproach.
For as death and the curse came into the world by a woman so also did life and health; God sent forth His made of a woman.
In the Old Testament women coveted , if happily this or that woman might be the mother of the Savior of the world.
When the Savior was come, women rejoiced in Him, before either man or angel.
Man did not ever give unto Christ so much as one groat; but the women followed Him and ministered to Him of their substance.
T'was a woman who washed His feet with her tears and a woman who anointed His body to the burial.
They were women who wept when He was going to the cross, and women that followed Him from the cross and that sat over against His sepulchre when He was buried.
They were women that were first with Him at His resurrection-morn, and woman that brought tidings first to His disciples that He had risen from the dead.
Women, therefore are highly favoured and show by these things that they are sharers with us in the grace of life.

Wondering To Myself

I was wondering to myself what the world would be like if when everyone woke up this morning then they treated today like it was their last day on earth before they would be off to see God.

People would say please, thank you, and I love you more. They would not be so wrapped up in getting things but would actually look for people to give their things to instead.

The greens would be greenier, the birds chirping would somehow sound more beautiful, the sunshine on our faces would feel like heaven licking our skin.

There would be more smiles shared, more hugs and kisses. Little irritations would instead become a joy to handle and easy to overcome. There would be lots of prayer for and with others.

We'd race out to do what we had been putting off for years, wearing the new perfume we were saving for a special occasion, smell a few flowers along the way.

Tell me, what would you do if you knew this would be your last day before going to be with the Lord?
