~You Listen to who?.?.

"You listen to who??? The Holy Spirit..? Where is He??? You are a weirdo... you must be gay if you have a little friend that none of us can see!!!"

Have you been ridiculed or shamed for following Jesus?

There are those that will do whatever they can to make you feel like a fool when you are walking in obedience to Jesus. People are mean and hurtful and we will run in to them if you are ministering on the streets and in public places.
1Pe 3:13 Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good?

Their are those who will try to humiliate you and strip you of your cross you carry... they will say untrue things and make stuff up just to bring you down to their level.
Be confident in Christ during these moments. If you have any fear, cast it to God... Do not worry He tells us... He will reward you for your obedience... Do not be afraid for the strength of the Lord is with you.
1Pe 3:14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don't be afraid and don't worry.

Be prepared in your ministry for God to proclaim His truths and stand firm in sharing His Word. Praise Him. Be thankful for His hope in you. Memorizing scripture for sidewalk ministry is a valuable tool in ministering to those whom will scare you with false heresay about our Savior.
1Pe 3:15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

Intimidation, screaming, hate, people will try to get rid of you at whatever works... wear your armour... and be Christlike at all times... this calmness and gentleness comes from love... the love of God reflecting in you...
1Pe 3:16 But you must do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak evil against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.

1Pe 3:17 Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong!

Following Jesus has it's rewards... Listen to the Holy Spirit, be obedient, walk in righteousness, cultivate the Holy Spirits relationship at all times...

I know that each one of us here face some kind of trial or hardship that is present in our past or perhaps we are carrying today... It may be in a relationship or the lack there of... it might be a health issue in our life or a loved one's... hunger, shelter, transportation, family, future, forgiveness... and the list can go on... have you thought of a trial that your facing right now..?

Jesus wants us to be healed from these... and sitting around having pitty on yourself and not doing anything is not the answer...

Jesus says, "Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!" John 5:8

I believe this command to the lame man is also a message for us today...

"Stand up..." Prepare yourself for better days... Take action... You and I are able to... so do it!!!

"Pick up your mat..." Take the trial or hardship you are living with and fold it up... stick it in your back pocket or pocket book...

And this next command of action is where we must believe... we must trust... we must know that our Lord Jesus wants the best for our lives...

"And WALK..." Have faith that you are healed and pursue the path that has been set before you... Know that Jesus is with us and will stand with us no matter what trial or hardship we are carrying...

Is it time for you to...

Stand and pick up your mat and walk..?

How about extending a hand out to one another in the love of Christ that we are commanded..?

Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up. Mark 9:27

Even in a dark time when the pessimism of man is trying to weigh you down... we should all want and desire to be christians... like Jesus, reaching our hands out and helping each other to their feet.

So many of us are witnesses to man's dark path, even i, a sinner, have been down the dark path. Have not we all experienced this?

Jesus is the Light of the world... allow Him to light your path... Let JESUS take your hand in to His light... it is such a pleasant and awesome place!!!

Mature christians we should want to be... teaching the Light of the world!!! It is not good to help the enemy shed darkness on anyone...

Jesus wants everyone's hand!!!
EVERYONE'S!!!

We should all take His hand!!!

Everyone who heard about it reflected on these events and asked, "I wonder what this will turn out to be? For the hand of the Lord is surely upon him in a special way." Luke 1:66

Who's hand will you reach for???

Will you put your hands together and pray for one another???

Perhaps your one hand away from the right hand of God..?

Take HIS hand!!!

A Passion story... for Passion/Palm Sunday

This is a little long, however, worth the read...

Happy Passion Sunday to all!!!

Jeremy’s Egg
Jeremy Forrester was born with a twisted body, a slow mind and a chronic, terminal illness that had been slowly killing him all his young life. Still, his parents had tried to give him as normal a life as possible and had sent him to Elementary School.
At the age of 12, Jeremy was only in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became irritated with him. He would squirm in his seat, drool and make grunting noises.
At other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain. Most of the time, however, Jeremy irritated his teacher.
One day, she called his parents and asked them to come to School for a consultation.
As the Forrester’s sat quietly in the empty classroom, Doris said to them, "Jeremy really belongs in a special school. It isn't fair to him to be with younger who don't have learning problems. Why, there is a five-year gap between his age and that of the other students!"
Mrs. Forrester cried softly into a tissue while her husband spoke. "Miss Miller," he said, "there is no school of that kind nearby. It would be a terrible shock for Jeremy if we had to take him out of this school. We know he really likes it here."
Doris sat for a long time after they left, staring at the snow outside the window. Its coldness seemed to seep into her soul. She wanted to sympathize with the Forrester’s. After all, their only had a terminal illness.
But it wasn't fair to keep him in her class. She had 18 other youngsters to teach, and Jeremy was a distraction. Furthermore, he would never learn to read and write. Why waste any more time trying?
As she pondered the situation, guilt washed over her. "Oh God," she said aloud, "here I am complaining when my problems are nothing compared to that poor family! Please help me to be more patient with Jeremy."
From that day on, she tried hard to ignore Jeremy's noises and his blank stares. Then one day he limped to her desk, dragging his bad leg behind him.
"I love you, Miss Miller," he exclaimed, loud enough for the whole class to hear. The other students snickered, and Doris's face turned red. She stammered, "Wh-why, that's very nice, Jeremy. Now please take your seat."
Spring came, and the talked excitedly about the coming of Easter. Doris told them the story of Jesus, and then to emphasize the idea of new life springing forth, she gave each of the a large plastic egg.
"Now," she said to them, "I want you to take this home and bring it back tomorrow with something inside that shows new life. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Miss Miller!" the responded enthusiastically--all except for Jeremy. He just listened intently, his eyes never left her face. He did not even make his usual noises.
Had he understood what she had said about Jesus’ death and resurrection? Did he understand the assignment? Perhaps she should call his parents and explain the project to them.
That evening, Doris's kitchen sink stopped up. She called the landlord and waited an hour for him to come by and unclog it. After that, she still had to shop for groceries, iron a blouse and prepare a vocabulary test for the next day. She completely forgot about phoning Jeremy's parents.
The next morning, 19 came to school, laughing and talking as they placed their eggs in the large wicker basket on Miss Miller's desk. After they completed their math lesson, it was time to open the eggs.
In the first egg, Doris found a flower. "Oh yes, a flower is certainly a sign of new life," she said. "When plants peek through the ground, we know that spring is here." A small girl in the first row waved her arms.
"That's my egg, Miss Miller," she called out.
The next egg contained a plastic butterfly, which looked very real. Doris held it up. "We all know that a caterpillar changes and grows into a beautiful butterfly. Yes, that is new life, too." Little Judy smiled proudly and said, "Miss Miller, that one is mine!"
Next, Doris found a rock with moss on it. She explained that moss, too, showed life. Billy spoke up from the back of the classroom, "My daddy helped me!" he beamed.
Then Doris opened the fourth egg. She gasped. The egg was empty! Surely it must be Jeremy's, she thought, and, of course, he did not understand her instructions. If only she had not forgotten to phone his parents. Because she did not want to embarrass him, she quietly set the egg aside and reached for another.
Suddenly Jeremy spoke up. "Miss Miller, aren't you going to talk about my egg?"
Flustered, Doris replied, "But Jeremy--your egg is empty!" He looked into her eyes and said softly, "Yes, but Jesus’ tomb was empty too! "Time stopped. When she could speak again, Doris asked him, "Do you know why the tomb was empty?"
"Oh, yes!" Jeremy exclaimed. "Jesus was killed and put in there. Then his Father raised him up!" The recess bell rang. While the excitedly ran out to the schoolyard, Doris cried. The cold inside her melted completely away.
Three months later, Jeremy died. Those who paid their respects at the mortuary were surprised to see 19 eggs on top of his casket, all of them empty.

"Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and risk taking. Learn from the turtle, it only makes progress when it sticks out it's neck..."

Taking RISK is FAITH in action... Having COURAGE is RISK in action... PROGRESS is ACTION... Our FAITH is in JESUS!!!

Isa 57:15 The high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, the Holy One, says this: "I live in that high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I refresh the humble and give new courage to those with repentant hearts.

Hbr 3:6 But Christ, the faithful , was in charge of the entire household. And we are God's household, if we keep up our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.

PATIENCE!!!

"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

This is something that I have had to remember and hold to the last few days... May all of you see your character in the mirror as acceptable...

Rom 5:4 And endurance develops strength of character in us, and character strengthens our confident expectation of salvation.

Jam 1:4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything.

PEACE!!!

What is it with michael and his 3's?

I'm sure it's a question you have all wondered about... and 3's have become my life story...

John 3:33 nlt "The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful." this is in explanation of the trinity, the Father, the , and the Holy Spirit... Trinity equaling 3...

My birthday is 3/30...

I christian lady that planted a faith seed in my life was born on 3/3/33...

Signed a contract/ lease at 3:33pm for the new church plant that I serve...

Our church service starts at 10:03am Sundays...
Bible studies starts at 6:33pm Tuesdays...
Youth Group starts 6:03pm Sundays...

The number 3 has become a great evangelizing tool for the kingdom of God...

When people ask, "Why do you meet at 10:03?" it opens the door to share our Father God, His Jesus, and His gift of the Holy Spirit... to whom we should set above all things!!!

So what about all those three's 3?3?3?3?3?...

It's a God thing!!!
