Just wanted to share with all my friends here on BC...
The sky is clearing and the sun is starting to shine here in blistery Minnesota... 15f and with wind chill at 0... the place is at a chapel on Beebe Lake at 3:33 pm central time...
Beth and I have been dating since last spring with a couple breaks as I had some major walls to breakthrough to be completely prepared for getting married again... and I'm sure I will run in to a few more snags... however, I decided that Beth is the one that I can not live without!!! She is the most wonderful lady and I am so blessed that God has brought us together!!!
Thank you all for being a friend and I will continue to check in here at BC to see what your all up too...
God bless you all!!! Love you all!!!

A retreat... a time to listen!!!

DO you have a special place to retreat to for a time of rest, prayer, and listening???
I'll be taking off in the morning for a few days to NC... to the mountains for a time of being still and listening... I plan on a walk to the top of a mountain somewhere just for the peace and tranquility of God's creation...
DO you pray alot in your life??? Where is it that you pray???
Sometimes I believe that God asks us to take a break and go to a more sanctified area to worship Him!!! As I pray on the go many times a day when in transit... God truely hears me... however... with all the distractions of the world infront of us like oncoming traffic and pedestrians... school buses and emergency vehicles... praying can be tough to focus...
I find that retreating into nature is a place of recharging and direction with God!!! A place to really fill our cups to the brim so we can serve Him better!!!
There's a song on my mind sometime's when I go in to a time of teaching and listening... and it goes like this...
Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true... with thanksgiving, I'll be a living, santuary, for YOU!!!
I do hope that you all get a chance to identify where God calls you too to be closest to Him!!! And why not try those words to that song before you start a time of meditation???
As we are made for the pleasure of God... I can only believe that spending one on one time with Him pleases Him!!!
May you bring pleasure to our Lord Jesus!!!
"Be still and know that I am God!!!!"ps46:10

Broken heart... fighting... crying... blaming... What to do???

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.
You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You'll fight with your best friend.
You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.
Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Chocolate chip cookies... these are made of the best ingredients!!!

A few years ago I had scheduled a meeting with my pastor to come out to my house so we could talk about what I was going through... my , Jessica, who was fourteen at the time had made a large plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies after school and left the plate on the table for him and I... like two or three dozen for the two of us... No one told her to do this... she just did it... But why??? Was Jessica trying to make sure that we would love her? Was she trying to make brownie points ( or in this case Chocolate chip cookie points ) with our pastor or me???
No she wasn't!!! I believe she cooked up those cookies just to show us how much she loves us... I know this because of the evidence of our close relationship... She did it because she is Jessica... and she was not trying to earn the right to be Jessica...
That's how it is with our mission into the world... as followers of Jesus!!! We don't do good works so we can win a place in heaven... Rather, our deeds show evidence of our love, salvation, and faith in Christ...
Jesus did all the work of providing salvation... But we still have to work... WHY??? Not to win HIS favor... but to show our love... It's an outpouring of a grateful and loving heart!!!
So... what do you say??? Wanna chocolate chip cookie??? Jesus said... "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples." John 13:35

Over the next few days I will be on a men's Walk to Emmaus retreat which is a 72 hour experience to help others... There are some 25 pilgrims that I and 100's of others will be serving in some capacity to see that their walk is the best it can be...
I am asking for prayer for the men that are taking this walk for the first time... their families in which they will be without for a few days... the sponsors that are helping with the families... the background and conference room servants... and all those that are serving by coming and impacting things like the opening and closing ceremony's... and Saturday nights candlelight... and the women's walk that take's place next weekend... and all of the other emmaus communities that are all around our world!!!
I will be giving one of the 15 talks on Sunday morning at 930am... please pray that God will use me to teach others of His will about changing our world, not mine!!!
I will praise and honor God!!!
I thank you all in advance for your support and prayers!!! God bless you all!!!

Serene and tranquil...

Sitting on the shore... listening to the waves... the Creator we adore... thanking Him for these days...
hope and future is our dream... praying for His will... the colors are serene... the peace... so tranquil...
Some of you live on a beach or near an ocean... and it's been a while since I've made it out to those sands... however just a mile down the road... is the largest body of water in Indiana, since lake Michigan only borders our far northwest state lines... It's a place of peace for me... to go sit near the water and watch the surroundings... even at forty years old, I am still in awe of everthing from the birds to the tree tops and the ground and the water... and it seems I been there (or a simular setting) a million times... though each time is different...
Seek peace...

???Prefer a rose or chocolate???

I have to confess that I prefer roses... though I would give according to another's desires, if so revealed...
I have been feeling kinda down lately... and I have reminisced today about things and service's and gifts that people give freely of and from their selves... and are overlooked completely by those whom receive... and in that I am reminded that planting good seed... know matter how you are led to bless someone else... is totally Christlike!!!
What would Jesus prefer???
I think HE prefers what is good to our taste buds!!!
*** my taste buds are in my nose and eyes... **** Awww... the beauty of a rose!!!
By doing what is right and helping others... a good seed is planted... though we may never know if it was right... we must trust that God is in control and will water the seed accordingly...
When we give freely in His spirit, He returns a hundred fold!!!
Hope you all enjoy your rose and candy!!!
