I found out this weekend that a close family friend has an eating disorder and no one has been the wiser. I have been searching the web for sites that have a Christian background.
If anyone has any knowledge of websites on this subject I would appreciate the tip.
God Bless

Impatience=Judgmental

Impatience with ourselves often leads to being judgmental and impatient with others. On the other hand, as we learn to realize and appreciate our Savior's patience with us, the more patient we grow with our own weaknesses, and the more patient we can be with the failings of others. Do you want more patience with others? Then focus on the Lord Jesus and His cross.

Ephesians 4:2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.

This touched me...gotta love ourselves and give ourselves a break too.

LIFE'S WEAVING

My life is but a weaving
Between my god and me;
I may not choose the colors
He knows what they should be.
For He can view the pattern
Upon the upper side,
While I can see it only
On this, the under side.
Sometimes He weaveth sorrow
Which seemeth strange to me.
But I will trust His judgement
And weave on faithfully
'Tis He who fills the shuttle
He knows just what is best
So I shall weave in earnest
And leave with Him the rest.
At last, when life is ended
Wit Him I shall abide
Then I may view the pattern
Upon the upper side
Then I shall know the reason
Why pain and joy entwined
Was woven in the favbric
of life that God designed.

Patience

I read about patience in my journal today and thought I would share with you...
The word most often translated patience in the New Testament carries the idea of bearing with a trouble-some person or situation over a long period of time. In great forbearance (patience), our Lord grants us multiplied opportunities to repent of our sins. In great patience, he forgives us time after time for the sake of Jesus and his cross.
Luke 8:15 As for that in the good soil, thay are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.

In my class on how to handle confrontations in a biblical manner the subject comes up again and again about bearing each other in patience and that seems so hard for us.
Keep up the prayers.
God Bless You All

Dancing With God

God sent me a friend that emailed me this...

When I meditated on the work Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's willis a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps wit a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guedance and skill from the other. My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw 'G: I thought of God followed by "u" and "I", "God, "u" and "I" dance." God, you and I dance...
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies be upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life. And, I hope you dance !!!
May you who read this be as blessed as my friend Cheryl has been blessing me.

It is easier to be of great faith and not worry during the day when we can distract ourselves but when night comes and we are tossing and turning our minds just won't be quiet. (At least mine won't) As a wonderful friend has thoughtfully shared some verses that helped her I will also share them with my brothers/sisters who come across this blog...
Matt 6:25-34
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or dring; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek foirst his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Hebrews 11:1
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
Matt 6:8 "...for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."
God bless you and may you sleep peacefully and awake rested and calm of spirit for the Lord is with you and with me.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced some oddities in email of late...
I have been getting quite a few emails from supposedly US citizens temporarily in Nigeria and although they are trying to give the impression of being American, the akward use of English is evident. I have been repeatedly asked to give a 'set' time to IM each day. Am wondering if this is a scam as it seems odd that 1) so many similar emails and 2)that a specific set time is given to communicate and 3)English is not their native language???

I think if you look for you can find little blessings every day. I wanted to share with you how I was blessed on my way to work this morning. I am sure it is a gene thing that causes me to have this overwhelming need to drive fast. Even when I am not in a hurry I drive fast... Was thinking of the day to come when I looked up and in my rearview mirror the dreaded flashing red and blue lights were very evident. As I pulled to the side of the road I remember thinking, I deserve this ticket for I was going fast and as I got completely off the road the cruiser drove right on by.
With a sigh of relief I got back on the road praising God...at a slower speed.
I know there are other Andredi/Ernhardt drivers out there.
God bless you and keep you safe on your journey.

Have had several people on my mind and have prayed for them, thank you all who have prayed for me. I am finding more peace in my heart and God has sent several people to me that have become close to my heart. I know God is in control and that life will turn out how he wants it to. Be still and hear MY voice, learning to recognize that voice is way cool.

Live At Peace

Romans 12:18 tells us that if it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
I believe when it says "as far as it depends on you" is meaning that others may make peace impossible but we as christians need to keep our way of dealing with others peaceful. It is very hard to do this when dealing with nonchristians as they view peace as "wimpy" and that we are doormats.
Jesus' sacrifice on the cross allows us to enjoy peace with other people (Eph 2:11-1 "Unity"is what peace is referred to often. It isn't just absence of strife and conflict but the presence of understanding, genuine harmony, and good will. This is shown when we love our neighbors as ourselves.
As we know "Our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour" (1Peter 5: The enemy tempts us with greed/dishonesty, promotes conflict and deceives us and misleads us. He will take advantage of our unresolved anger.
Lies of Satan:
Look out for #1
God helps those who help themselves
Surely God doesn't expect me to stay in an unhappy situation
I'll forgive you, but I won't forget
Don't get mad, get even
I deserve better than this
As I have mentioned these lies have been raining down on me as I am in a custody proceeding with my ex who isn't a christian. These teachings I am trying to hold that no matter what lies he tells, no matter how much pain I feel, I pray for God's strength to remain peaceful and full of agape love. Sisters/Brothers it is not easy and I beseach your prayers in this endeavor. I feel as much angst at times for my lawyer who has not filed paperwork in a timely manner and may end up costing me financially and a big chunk of my heart. I am sharing things I am learning each week because I know there is someone out there whos heart hurts as much as mine and you are trying to do as God wishes. My prayer goes out to you as well.
Your Sister in Christ
