Adam & Eve comments get Iowa college instructor fired

An instructor at an Iowa community college claims that he was fired after he told his students that the Biblical story of Adam & Eve is a fairy tale and should not be interpreted literally.
The instructor said officials at the college sided with a handful of students who threatened legal action over his remarks in a western civilization class.
Now to quote him"I'm just a little bit shocked myself that a college in good standing would back up students who insist that people who have been through college...have to teach that there were such things as talking snakes or lose their job."
The college had no comment.
What a twist. Most of what I have observed has been the banning of the Biblical truth in public teaching settings. Hooray for the Truth!!!

won't work in hell.
It has also been revised by the Fire Marshal. Now we are told to Stop, Drop & Rock. It has been determined that rocking is more effective at squelching fire than rolling. Makes sense to me.
My God bless all who stop to read this. I hope you never have to use this information!

Once upon a time there was a rich man who knew that one day he was going to die. He was very attached to his earthly wealth and prayed endlessly to God let him take his wealth with him into eternity. Finally the Lord gave in, but with one condition: he could only bring one suitcase of his wealth.
The rich man decided to fill that one suitcase with gold bullion.
The day eventually came when God called him home. He was greeted at the pearly gates by St. Peter who told him that he could not bring anything with him into heaven.
"But I have an arrangement with God," the rich man explained.
"That is most unusual," said St. Peter, "Do you mind if I take at look at the contents>"
The rich man opened the suitcase to reveal the shiny gold bullion.
St. Peter was amazed. "Why would anyone want to bring pavement into heaven?"

It has been a journey! My own pc crashed about five months ago and my , the family computer genius worked on it for many hours during the five months while I used one of his computers. I purchased a new hard drive which he installed and still he could not get my computer up and running.
Then, about six weeks ago the computer he lent me crashed. After much consideration I ordered a new Dell and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. But, I could not get on line with it! I spent many hours on the phone with Dell technicians and wanted to send it back. Dell didn't want it back. LOL
By the time I got off the phone each time with the Dell techs even my daughters laptop could not get on line and I would have to move cords and unplug and replug modems and routers until I had her up again.
In the mean time, my called and said he had finally found out what was wrong with my old computer and I picked it up on Monday. Tuesday night after getting off the phone with yet another Dell tech, and having to spend time getting my daughters laptop back on line, I was finally successful and had a connection on the new computer!
So, now I have two computers. Well, I guess a spare won't hurt.

The blind girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her.
She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I would marry you".
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.
He asked her, "Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.
Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: "Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."
This is how the human mind often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.
Life is a gift!
Today, before you say an unkind word- Think of someone who can't speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food- Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife- Think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion.
Today, before you complain about life- Think of someone who went too early to heaven.
Before you complain about your - Think of someone who desires , but they're barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep- Think of the people who are living in the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive- Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job- Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.
Before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another- Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down- Put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.
This came to me in an email and was too thought provoking to keep to myself. I pray that the Lord showers blessings on all who take the time to read this. Pat

It seems that the 15 year old cat that calls my house home is constipated. Does anyone make cat laxatives?
