How does this sound...I just made these...
Rich chocolate cake..chocolate pudding mixed into the batter...A whole bag of mini chocolate chips stirred in, enrobed in a semisweet chocolate ganache and then chocolate frosting piped around the edges of these mini cakes and then dusted with grated chocolate. MMMMmmmmmmm
And then I ate a papaya. LOL
Now I'm off to make cranberry muffins...I'm sick of looking at the blueberry ones.
OH...I also made triple fudge brownies, Blondies and ice cream cookie sandwiches and ice cream brownie cookie sandwiches.
After that I ate a salad. LOL
Anyone hungry?? heh heh heh

In continuation of the 40 pounds being lifted off of me the other day even though I had no solutions..nothing had changed..
WELL....change has come. It's all cool now. Well..not totally..but well on it's way.
Now..we just need more customers coming into the store so I can make the bills..so keep praying on that end please.
OH...And today...THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING PART...beyond my money issues....
My actually kept the radio station in the bakery on a decent channel instead of that head banging crap. I was shocked out of my gourd!! If God can make that happen, he can certainly herd people in the direction of our front door with cash in their pockets. LOL

Languages....interpreting

I tell ya....I learn somethin new every day!
As you know, I'm a sign language interpreter. However with one hard of hearing student I use English and Spanish as well. Spanish is his first language, English second, and he just started learning Sign last year so I can't just interpret a class in sign.
ANYWAY....I work in an inner city school. I love it there. So...many students..most students speak in some form of ebonics...and as with any high school..there is slang.
I thought I had a grasp on it, but it's a new year..new slang. LOL The hardest part is figuring out what's being said because of the accent..then I figure out what it means. LOL I'm not a teacher and I don't discipline so the are cool with me. They tell me stuff when I ask...and they laugh.
So..I still hear and have to interpret things like....I want my fade. Pull that lip. Don't call me out my name. However I think 'tighten up' is passe..don't hear that much this year.
Also,,before I pretty much knew all of the sign language slang that was used in my school. A couple of the girls used to fill me in on stuff..but they all graduated last year. This year I have mostly boys and they don't want me to know stuff cause that means I'll voice it in English for them. LOL One though is still weak with me..he'll tell me anything as long as I ask him directly. LOL I just learned a new sign slang today. I figured it out becasue of the context. It was an actual sign, but it means something different, but they use it as something not so nice..an insult. I confirmed it with a student.
I know this is boring to most of you, but to me it so interesting. I love language and culture and differences. Way cool to me. Even the way my Mexican friends speak spanish to me as compared to the Dominicans...differences.
It's my job to figure that stuff out. I'm not an analytical type of person, but I think quickly on my feet....it's nothing special..it's genetic..or learned..I dunno but I got it from my dad.
The toughest part this year is understanding a deaf who signs left handed then right handed and back and forth all in one sentence..my eyes are freakin out on me. i'm starting to catch on though. He sort of has a pattern. Like I said..I'm not analytical so I can't tell you what that pattern is exactly, but I'm starting to fall into the flow..but it still makes me crazy. LOL

Remember my post about waking up feeling lighter the other day?
Well......
Today I worked out my mortgage issue..finally. Not sure which side of my butt I'm going to pull the money out of...but I'm not all too worried. That's the first thing that will be paid.
School situation is halfway worked out. We'll see what happens.
Store problems...talked with my about it so hopefully we're on the right track.
Thank God for AnneMarie. I don't know how she's dealt with listening to me for the past couple of weeks. I've been a nutcase and can't even stand to hear my own voice anymore. UGH!!!!! I just want to tell myself to shut the heck up, but at the same time I needed to vent. She's awesome. Even though we're 1500 miles apart now..we're still tied at the heart...conjoined twins.

It only took me 2 tries to get past all the virus junk to post. We'll see what happens when I actually click to send it. LOL
ANYWAYS.....
I'd been out of touch with a bunch of my spanish speaking friends here because...well..just because. Then I saw them last weekend at a christening party and I was so excited to see a few people who had gone home and made it back again. LOL
Well...today I made Mole Poblano and then sent a text message to a few friends and they came and ate it. Sooo..we got talking..in English about how I need to speak spanish with them..not to be embarrassed. Well, I got my embarrassment from a friend who used to laugh at me whenever I said anything. That aside...I'm going to be forced into using my language which is a good thing.
NOW THE BEST PART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as they walked out the door, My called me FREAKING OUT!!!
'' YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!The guy's name is (blah blah blah) and his blood alcohol level was 0.24. He's out of his coma and he's going to be deported. If I want to press charges on him for drunk driving I can, then I'll get money from the victims fund to help pay for my car and he won't go to jail. He just gets deported either way''
So...the guy who crashed into her is undocumented and has no insurance so she still has her huge deductibles (because this is a nofault insurance state..back in Mass she wouldnt have to pay the deductible for an uninsured driver if he were charged with a crime) So now maybe she'll get reimbursed for at least part of her car being fixed. Right now its really undrivable but she's driving it anyway because she has no choice.
She had just been complaining that everything my mom had prayed for was blowing up in her face. She felt like it was causing it to happen...maybe now she'll see.

I have crazy viruses in my computer and it freaks out on me. Sooooo...not so sure I can get here much til tuesday. Thats when the chiropractor should be done fixing my daughters laptop.
Yeah..i know that doesnt make sense.
Well..the chiropractor she went to to fix her whiplash from the accident....well turns out hes from where I'm from and we know a bunch of the same people and junk. So he loves us..cause it's nothin but rednecks here. Soooo...he wants to fix her computer so we can make brochures for my store and he'll put them in his office.
As it is...i have to click out of fifty freaky sites and stuff just to get here. It's a pain in my behind. Making me crazy. If anyone has my number..call..OH WAIT..that would only be AnneMarie. LOL If you wanna call...ask her for my number and she will OK it with me before she passes it out..but don't hold your breath. HAHAHAHA  Not that it's a big deal LOL

But I'm gonna tell you anyway....
I LOVE reggaeton. Not only that..other music too..but I like to listen to it. However..it doesn't always have the best words. Sometimes it's not so bad..but sometimes..well..ya know.
I went searching online last week and found a bunch of christian reggaeton. I added one group to my myspace and since a couple others have popped up as friend requests. How cool.
I had a discussion with this lady a long long time ago about how music is of the devil. Only gospel type baptist church slow music is acceptable, no matter what the words. She told me that God HATES people using his name and his words in rock music or anything other than what was originally intended..ie;what i mentioned above.
I asked her..what about dancing in the bible. What was David dancing to? she said to that old fashioned type music.
Not that it's a bad song..but somehow I don't picture anyone jammin' to Praise God from Whom all Blessing Flow.
Well....think what you wish. I still like upbeat stuff too.

I think next time I'll video blog in sign language. Then I can vent and not concern anyone. LOL I could vent in spanish...but there are too many here who understand. Plus I'm much more fluent in sign.
I love knowing other languages..its like a secret code sometimes LOL
English..check
American Sign Language..check
Spanish..half a check. I'm still working on it
NEXT...
portugese..or french..i dont know..we'll see
