Let us now take each of these definitions of sin in Part l The Sinless Perfection Test Are YOU Perfect Part 1
and examine ourselves. Please don’t just read through these questions and skim over them lightly, for they undeniably prove sinless perfection to be utterly false. As you read each question, ask yourself if you’ve done or if you’ve failed in this. I am especially addressing those of you who claim to have attained to some degree of sinless perfection or think it is possible. The following questions correspond numerically with the definitions of sin above:

1. Have you been born of an earthly father and mother and are you a descendant of Adam? If so, you have a sinful nature (a “law of sin” ‒Rom. 7:23) that dwells within your flesh and you are inherently defiled and thereby guilty in the eyes of a holy God. (Romans 5:12, Job 15:14-16, Job 25:4, Psalm 51:5)

2. Do you perfectly obey the Law of God in thought, word and deed; plus in motive, desire, intention, etc.? Since becoming a Christian, have you ever exaggerated or stretched the truth, or said something that indirectly portrayed a false witness (lying)? Or have you lied when witnessing to someone, and a sinner on the streets asks you if you are without sin and you say you are? Have you ever looked with lust, even for half a second, at a member of the opposite sex (adultery)? Have you ever had a single impure thought? Have you ever desired to have something that does not belong to you or even entertained the thought of desiring it (covetousness)? Have you ever called somebody a “fool” or “idiot”, or any other insulting name, out of the least degree of anger (which is murder)? Have you even entertained the thought of doing it? Have you accidentally taken a pen, paperclip, or any other item that does not belong to you and failed to make restitution (stealing)? Have you kept the Sabbath holy? Have you perfectly honored your parents in everything you do and say? Have you ever done anything, even the smallest of actions, or said the simplest of words, with regard to how it will benefit you yourself supremely rather than how it will benefit God, or done anything that disobeys any single command of scripture (1st commandment)? Have you ever made a single decision out of self-will? How about loving the Lord with all your heat, mind, soul and strength, and loving your neighbor as yourself? Have you totally, completely, absolutely and perfectly done that since becoming a Christian? Or have you made the slightest decision or thought the smallest thought of getting some kind of personal benefit out of something rather than your neighbor in your stead? If you are truthful, you must certainly admit your guilt in the eyes of God, at least in thought or word.

3. Have you ever not done something you know you should have done, since becoming a Christian (or since becoming sinlessly perfect)? Did you know something to be the good thing to do, or the best thing to do, but you failed to do it? Have you always done all the good you can, in all the ways you can, by all the means you can, to all the people you can, in all the places you can, as long as you ever can? Or have you failed in this? If you’ve failed in this, you must certainly admit your sin before God, or else you deceive yourself.

4. Have you always had perfect faith before God? Have you ever doubted a single promise of scripture (which would be unbelief)? Have you always done everything you have ever done since becoming a Christian in perfect, unwavering faith? Have you ever prayed for the sick and thought within your heart that they will not be healed because of your unbelief? Have you ever attempted to ask something in prayer that God promises in His word but thought within your heart of hearts that He won’t answer? Is every thought that you think a thought of perfect faith, in full conformity to the glory of God? If you don’t admit to your present imperfections in this, then you are obviously blind and fooled. You are certainly guilty of sin in the eyes of God.

5. Since becoming a Christian (or attaining to “perfection“ if you claim to have done), have you done anything that comes morally short of the goodness and glory of God? Have you thought a single thought that Christ Himself wouldn’t think? Have you spoken a single word that Christ Himself wouldn’t speak? Have you done a single thing that Christ Himself wouldn’t do? Or are you so deceived as to honestly think you currently meet the standards of God’s glory? Can you actually stand in your present state in front of the very Throne of God and have such audacity as to believe you won’t cry out like Isaiah the holy prophet: “Woe is me, I am undone, for I am a man of unclean lips” (Is. 6)? Remember, anything, anything at all, that comes morally short of the perfect glory of God is sin. Unless you are deceived, you must certainly admit your present guilt.

And, on top of these questions, ask yourself if you have ever thought a single thought that God would consider foolish? As it is written: “The thought of foolishness is sin” (Proverbs 24:9). Even thinking something foolish is sin. Do you honestly claim to be able to walk in such a state as to never think a single thought that God would consider foolish? Therefore, offending any single one of the points listed above even in just a brief thought is considered sin in the eyes of a perfectly holy and righteous God who can read and see your thoughts just as clearly as He can your outward actions.

We could go much, much more in detail with the self-examination questions listed above if we wanted, but such a brief list will suffice to prove the point. BEWARE OF THIS FALSE DOCTRINE BEING PREACHED ON THE BLOG.

So you want to give up hope?

When hope is gone, part of life seems to go with it. I felt this way some years ago...Our ties to life are all founded on hope. We hope for the future. We hope the weather will get better. We hope the stock market will get better or our health will be better. Our every action has a thread of hope connected to it.

When hope is gone, life is gone. When hope is gone, life loses its purpose and meaning. Don't loose hope. When life loses its purpose and meaning, then it is easy to fall away from God. People who have lost hope in any circumstance not only give up on the circumstance, they often give up on living.

The fact is that God gave us a will. We have will power. This power of our will was given to us by God so in times of hopelessness, in times of financial or spiritual poverty, we can look up to God and find hope.

So you say, but, but, but...Lord I have no food, I can't pay my bills, I may be homeless soon.

Step out in faith and seek wise Christian counsel before you react. When one feels hopeless, one gives up and often times one doesn't make good decisions. One may throw there hands in the air and just say "whatever".

With Christ alive in our hearts, there is always hope, there is always life and there is a better way.

The Lord said, seek and you will find, he didn't say give up.

The best is yet to come.

What does this mean to you? Live in but not of...

I recall a verse that says live in the world but not of it...

What this means to me is to seek harmony between the two discerning the highest moral and spiritual common ground between the teachings of Christianity and values of our culture we live in today.

We must strive for holiness and affirm what is
truly good in life. Yes, we must rejoice in opportunities to build on good things God has given us and we must use every opportunity to improve, transform, and even convert this or that part of the world to the glory of God by our countenance and actions.

Let's look at some human tendencies of thought.

Do I fail often? Do I repeat sins I know are wrong? Does my conscience tell me when I have strayed off the path? Am I holy and self-righteous? Do I have a rigid view of Christianity? Am I more evolved in Christ than most? (Many extremes in possible thought.)

Never forget that God can be trusted and honored even when the way is dark and confusing. He does work in mysterious ways; all things together for good. We may not understand it now, but in the end we will understand.

live life... don't wait....

What do you think about this?

A man with two sons told the older boy, ', go out and work in the vineyard today.' The answered, 'No, I won't go,' but later he changed his mind and went anyway.

Then the father told the other , 'You go,' and he said, 'Yes, sir, I will.' But he didn't go.

Which of the two was obeying his father?" ...

Must be over the hill, but glad I'm not under it.

I write this segment because my mother bless her heart must think I am now over the hill. Here is proof. I use to get clip its in the mail from the newspapers from Dear Abbey from her mainly about relationship stuff. Now I get AARP magazines which she has ordered for me and articles like this:

Remember:

Senior Citizens Are Valuable:

We are more valuable than any of the younger generations:

We have silver in our hair.

We have gold in our teeth.

We have stones in our kidneys.

We have lead in our feet and

We are loaded with natural gas!

God love her.

And she says in a recent conversation, remember those old Elvis albums, well your dad was asking about them. He thinks they may be worth allot of money. I said, of course they are still there, in a box somewhere in their home. And, did you get your AARP card in the mail yet?

Now, I know my midriff gained about 8 pounds and somewhere another 4 pounds took residence from my last year skinny body. The eye creams look more appealing to smooth out those fine lines and diminish the dark circles under the eyes and the chin seems to have lost a bit of elasticity. Oh my....Guess I am over the hill but I can be blessed I am not under it. And dad calls again asking about the Elvis albums and there where abouts and that plant that is his favorite one that is somewhere in his back yard.....

Hope everyone has a blessed evening.

Heaven on earth?

Sometimes the "kingdom of heaven" is thought of as simply being a reference to heaven itself, and that what the Lord and the 12 apostles were preaching about was simply the issue of heaven and how to get there.

With others it is thought to be a reference to a spiritual reigning of God in the hearts of men which results in transformed lives and eventually in a transformation of Israel.

Some view it as a destination which will be full of beautiful fields and beautiful mansions while others view it as a place within our souls happening now.

Some think that heaven is earth and others think it is something is the third heavens that we have yet to see.

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand."

What does this mean to you?

Treasure Hidden in a Field

"Again,
the
kingdom
of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth
and selleth
all that
he hath,
and buyeth
that field."
Matt. 13:44

What does that mean in English not Christianese?

We need to realize that this is the experience of lost and un churched people when they choose to attend a church that communicates God’s truth in, what I call, “Christianese.”

Whether you know it or not, this is the language most churches all over the world are speaking. “Christianese” is the private language of any given church’s culture and tradition. As with all languages, it is clearly understood and considered beautiful by those who have been raised with it. The only problem is that only insiders can understand and appreciate it.

When outsiders, either un churched or different-churched people, attend a church that speaks Christianese, they don’t get it. They have no clue what’s being said. It’s like a foreign language to them.”

FOR DISCUSSION: Let’s start a list of the top “Christianese” words we’re all guilty of using.

List at least one -- even if you don't know what it means yourself.

Some examples to get you started: slain in the spirit, let go let God, fruit of the spirit, old man/new man...
