Haunted By Dream
I dreamed this the other day/night? but I remain haunted by it. I believe it has prophetic meaning. It was pretty jumbled and I only remember certain parts, even after I awoke to try to write it down.
I am not sure where it takes place. It was possibly some sort of coliseum, and I say this only because I was seeing this from a balcony like seat. I did not feel I belonged at this place, but I was there to oversee this thing taking place.
A group of people brought in this substance that appeared to be a type of skin. It was a dark brown color but translucent and folded over many times. There was some chanting over it and it began to take on a form and shape and have a heartbeat. The leaders then laid hands on it and said something and a metallic head appeared. This thing was small enough for them to hold in their hands. They laid it on an altar and the people were amazed and cheered very loudly.
Suddenly it grew to a huge monstrosity. It was reddish in appearance, and reptile like. I am having trouble describing it here, although, I can see it clearly. I do know it had a long tail and hind legs, possibly arms or legs in front, and a horned head, but not a horn per se. I could not stand to look upon it long.
The next thing I remember is being outside and near an orchard. It was spring and the trees were loaded with fruit. I went over to pick some fruit and it was spoiled with soft spots all over even though it appeared to be perfectly good. All of the fruit on the trees was this way.
After seeing the fruit, I remember people being stung with dart like prongs that caused them to seize. They became zombie like. The ones who were shooting at the people were ones who were with the serpent like monster. After a person was shot and the poison took affect the person would then worship the "thing" and seem to be totally under its control.
I kept finding hiding places and was missed. I don't know if I had my or granddaughter with me. They were of a younger age than they are now. We watched as people all around us became controlled. The eyes of the people were glazed over and had a vacant look. We had to be careful not to look into their eyes, for they had the ability to discern that we were not like them and they would point us out.
I think we were in some kind of industrial or commercial type building that was still under construction. There were tall steel columns holding up the floor above, but everything was in the process of being built now. It was getting closer to finish. THE END
ABBA Father, I ask that all who read this dream hear the message YOU are sending at this time, and I ask it in the name of Your , Christ Jesus, Yeshua haMashiach. AMEN

Romans 8:28 -"And we know that all things

to them who are the called according to his purpose."
AMEN
I was so upset with some doctors that had a biopsy
test of mine that gave a diagnosis that explained
my severe health problems. I was fuming about the
fact that 2 of them had the results and neither
had made any attempt to treat me and help me get
better.
I would not have found out about the results except
that I was collecting paperwork to take to MAYO CLINIC.
When I saw the diagnosis and it was even underlined,
I was slowly becoming angered. As this was happening
the LORD showed me that the doctors had been blocked
from seeing the truth. Perhaps the enemy was doing
this to continue keeping me ill. Nonetheless, I saw
the LORD revealing this truth and scripture in play
in this situation.
When I had begun plans to go to visit my
and granddaughters earlier this year, I was considering
flying. I felt a subtle nudge from the LORD as to
needing to drive there. This has made all the difference
in how things have worked out for this trip.
The LORD has planned for me to get help in this health
matter at Mayo. What a wonderful Father that loves me
so very much. HalleluJah!!! Baruch haShem Adonai !

To the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High Schoolshootings in Littleton ,Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful , Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out f or answers.
"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my 's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need!
" Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational Systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
"As my Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person inAmerica , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, atColumbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain.. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your Own heart before casting the first stone!
My 's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech.. God Bless
*This was sent to me and I just had to share it"!

A REAL 911
Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon G3, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.G623

G3 Ἀβαδδών Abaddōn Thayer Definition: Abaddon = “destruction” 1) ruin 2) destruction 3) the place of destruction 4) the name of the angel-prince of the infernal regions, the minister of death and the author of havoc on the earth Part of Speech: proper noun masculine A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: of Hebrew origin H11 Citing in TDNT: 1:4, 1
G623 Ἀπολλύων Apolluōn ap-ol-loo'-ohn Active participle of G622; a destroyer (that is, Satan): - Apollyon.

Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. Rev 9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hur the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. Rev 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. Rev 9v7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. Rev 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. { see inset photo } Rev 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
Click on photo to enlarge. I found this under military helicopters. It is the Super Cobra - an AH-1W Super Cobra attack helicopter. You should google it. The large photo they have shows teeth like a shark or possibly a lion. The blades of course sound like charging horses and there is a stinger in the tail.

Torah and Election '08

Torah and Election '08 27 October, 2008 Shalom
Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105 Over the years I have on several occasions referred to a principle of Jewish teaching: namely, that the weekly Torah portion speaks directly to what is happening in Israel, in the world and/or in the lives of individuals during the very week of its reading. Sometimes the message is obvious; sometimes it requires in depth study to draw it out, sometimes we don't see it at all but that doesn't mean it isn't there.
This past Shabbat I felt inclined to look ahead a couple of weeks to the Torah portion that coincides with the election in the United States on Nov. 4th. Is there perchance any message there for us?
The weekly Torah study of devout Jews begins anew on Sunday of each week and culminates on the next Shabbat when the entire week's portion is read in the synagogue service. Throughout the week, the portion is divided into seven sections for study.
Therefore, I looked first at the Torah portion as a whole which will be read on Shabbat, Nov. 8th and then I zeroed in specifically on the section of verses which will be studied on the very day of the election, Tuesday, Nov. 4th.
The Torah portion is Lech Lecha - Gen. 12:1 - 17:27 which begins with the verse: Now Hashem said to Abram: 'Get yourself out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, and go to the land that I will show you.
The specific section for Tuesday of that week is Gen. 13:5 - 18. It is the account of the argument that developed between the herdsmen of Avram and the herdsmen of Lot.
Seeing the disunity between them, Avram approached Lot and said, 'Let there be no strife, I pray you, between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. Is not the whole land before you? separate yourself, I pray you, from me; if you will go to the left,, then I will go to the right; or if you will go to the right, then I will go to the left.'
And Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw that all the plain of the Jordan was well watered every where; [it was before Hashem destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah]; it was like the garden of Hashem, like the land of Egypt, as you go towards Zoar.
So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan; and Lot journeyed east; and they separated themselves, one from the other.
Essentially what we learn from these verses is that Avram took the humbler position and gave his nephew, Lot, the freedom and the opportunity to make a decision about his future.
Lot looked with his eyes and saw one particular area that looked lush and held the promise of quick prosperity. There is no indication that Lot prayed or asked Hashem for guidance in any way. He made his decision by what looked like the 'best deal' for him immediately and in the near future.
The only problem is that very shortly thereafter, everything he saw that "looked so good" was utterly destroyed and Lot lost nearly everything, including his wife. Only his daughters survived with him.
Avram, on the other hand, accepted with gratitude what "appeared" to be less prosperous in the short run, only to hear from Hashem who spoke thus to him after Lot had departed:
And Hashem said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: 'Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your seed for ever. And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed also be numbered.
Arise, walk through the length and breadth of the land; for to you will I give it.' And Abram moved his tent, and came and dwelt by the terebinths of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and there he built an altar to Hashem.
Is there a message? With all due respect, how can anyone miss it???
Lot chose what looked to him the way of quick and easy prosperity and relief from the difficulties he was facing at that moment right where he was. It ended in utter disaster.
Avram was willing to trust Hashem to care for him and to do what was best for him for the purpose of fulfilling the covenant which Hashem had already made with him earlier. Avram pitched his tent at the direction of Hashem and the long term blessings still continue.
I would like to respectfully suggest that we draw our own personal application from observing the actions and decisions of Avram and Lot as we prepare for the election.
Short term gain for long term pain is the story of Lot.
Faith in Hashem, the moral values of integrity, humility and dedication to a Person and a cause greater than himself merited eternal blessing not only for Avram but for his descendants down to this very day.
What does this say to you? Only you can decide.
It has nothing to do with being Republican or Democrat; it has to do with looking to Hashem's Torah for divine counsel and guidance. May we all cast our vote from a biblical rather than a material perspective.
Shalom and blessings to all,
Leah ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I posted this post earlier and it coincides with this message.
The Art of Fencing
In otherwords, people will be sealing their fate on this US election. When they pull the lever to vote for a leader, they will be telling God whether they are RIGHT or they are going to GET left (behind)!
I have been receiving from the Word a line of message and I may make a post of it later.
SHALOM

In Defense of Senator McCain: His Health is None of the Public's Business
Last update: 4:11 p.m. EDT Oct. 21, 2008 LOS ANGELES, Oct 21, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The following is being issued by T. L. Kittle, CEO and founder of the Blue Diamond Foundation:
While Senator McCain should be questioned regarding decisions he has made as a Senator and choices he would make if he is elected President of the United States, any comments or criticism about the Senator regarding his health status should be left out of public debate.
Unless he has a disease attacking his cognitive abilities, all criticisms and concerns regarding his current health status are none of the public's business.
During some of the most turbulent times in American history, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt successfully lead the nation through the Great Depression and most of World War II - and accomplished all of this while bound to a wheelchair. His health problems were not used against him as a marker to determine his ability to lead the nation. Why? Because his health problems were not put under scrutiny by the American public.
Even though Senator McCain has shared information regarding his health with the media, it should never have even been an issue for the public in the first place. Focusing on a candidate's health concerns in order to mark his ability as president, is diverging from the point completely. The only question that should be of concern to voters is this: "Can this candidate successfully lead the nation if elected into office? Does he or she have the knowledge and thoroughly analyzed plan of attack for the next four years?"
The frailty of man will always be certain. Speculating endless possible unknown scenarios based on statistical averages (life expectancy, etc) that may or may not pertain to a given individual is a waste of valuable time. Where would the United States be as a nation today if the people had voted against FDR based on his health problems?
In the current video camera/text messaging/cell phone/internet world, a thirst for all kinds of information about leaders has developed. Some of this information -- like someone's health care -- should remain private and out of public debate.
It is true that Senator McCain could die while in office if he was elected. That's true of anyone. Maybe Senator McCain has genes that will help him live to be a hundred? A president should be chosen for office based on his or her ability to lead and their cognitive mindset -- all other information (including sexuality and religion) should have no bearing on the decision. As the election draws closer and closer, Senator McCain should continue to be questioned regarding issues on the economy, the war in Iraq, taxes, and health care. Any comments or 'concerns' regarding the status of his health are completely inappropriate and should be considered off limits.
T. L. Kittle is in the process of building the Blue Diamond Foundation, a non-profit organization founded to assist those who need access to medical care.

The Art of Fencing
As I see it, this November 4th election will be the decision of this people who are riding the fence. * * Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered
all nations: and he shall separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his
right hand, but the goats on the left.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know
them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and
they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck
them out of my hand.
* *
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD,
choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods
which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood,
or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:
but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

The American Flag |~ |~ |~

From Sunday's Televised 'Meet the Press' Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains National Anthem Stance Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. At the very least, 'Stand and Face It'.
Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, 'As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides', Obama said. 'There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it. 'We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love.
[image] click on image to enlarge Obama changed American flag to his design
It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts.
We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice.
My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine'. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America.
WHAAAAAAAT the Hell !!!
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly be our next President.
I, for one, am speechless.

An Impassioned Letter

|
THIS IS A LETTER FROM A U.S. CITIZEN... WHO LIVES IN ILLINOIS... AND OBVIOUSLY IS A "SELF-THINKER"... NOT JUST A "FOLLOWER"!!!
IF YOU ONLY READ ONE THING, REGARDING THIS ELECTION... LET THIS BE THE ONE THING!! AFTER READING IT, YOU WILL PROBABLY WANT TO FORWARD IT TO OTHER AMERICANS WHO ARE "SELF THINKERS"!!
An impassioned letter from a "nobody". But he gives his telephone number at the end.
Sent: Monday, August 18, 2008 3:19 PM Subject: FW: A letter from Illinois
Dear Friends: My name is Joe Porter. I live in Champaign, Illinois. I'm 46 years old, a husband, a father, a small business owner, a veteran, and a homeowner. I don't consider myself to be either conservative or liberal, and I vote for the person, not Republican or Democrat. I don't believe there are "two Americas " but that every person in this country can be whomever and whatever they want to be if they'll just work to get there and nowhere else on earth can they find such opportunities. I believe our government should help those who are legitimately downtrodden, and should always put the interests of America first.
The purpose of this message is that I'm concerned about the future of this great nation. I'm worried that the silent majority of honest, hard-working, tax-paying people in this country have been passive for too long. Most folks I know choose not to involve themselves in politics. They go about their daily lives, paying their bills, raising their , and doing what they can to maintain the good life. They vote and consider doing so to be a sacred trust. They shake their heads at the political pundits and so-called "news", thinking that what they hear is always spun by whomever is reporting it. They can't understand how elected officials can regularly violate the public trust with pork barrel spending. They don't want government handouts. They want the government to protect them, not raise their taxes for more government programs.
We are in the unique position in = this country of electing our leaders. It's a privilege to do so. I've never found a candidate in any election with whom I agreed on everything. I'll wager that most of us don't even agree with our families or spouses 100% of the time. So when I step into that voting booth, I always try to look at the big picture and cast my vote for the man or woman who is best qualified for the job. I've hired a lot of people in my lifetime, and essentially that's what an election is - a hiring process. Who has the credentials? Whom do I want working for me? Whom can I trust to do the job right?
I'm concerned that a growing number of voters in this country simply don't get it. They are caught up in a fervor they can't explain, and calling it "change".
"Change what?", I ask.
"Well, we're going to change America", they say.
"In what way?", I query.
"We want someone new and fresh in= the White House", they exclaim.
"So, someone who's not a politician?", I say.
"Uh, well, no, we just want a lot of stuff changed, so we're voting for Obama", they state.
"So the current system, the system of freedom and democracy that has enabled a man to grow up in this great country, get a fine education, raise incredible amounts of money and dominate the news, and win his party's nomination for the White House that system's all wrong?"
"No, no, that part of the system's okay we just need a lot of change."
And so it goes. "Change we can believe in."
Quite frankly, I don't believe that vague proclamations of change hold any promise for me. In recent months, I've been asking virtually everyone I encounter how they're voting. I live in Illinois, so most folks tell me they're voting for Barack Obama. But no one can really tell me why only that he's going to change a lot of stuff "Change, change, change." I have yet to find one single person who can tell me distinctly and convincingly why this man is qualified to be President and Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful nation on earth other than the fact that he claims he's going to implement a lot of change.
We've all seen the emails about Obama's genealogy, his upbringing, his Muslim background, and his church affiliations. Let's ignore this for a moment. Put it all aside. Then ask yourself, "What qualifies this man to be my president? That he's a brilliant orator and talks about change?"
CHANGE WHAT?
Friends, I'll be forthright with you I believe the American voters who are supporting Barack Obama don't have a clue what they're doing, as evidenced by the fact that not one of them - NOT ONE of them I've spoken to can spell out his qualifications. Not even the most liberal media can explain why he should be elected. Political experience? Negligible. Foreign relations? Non-existent. Achievements? Name one. Someone who wants to unite the country? If you haven't read his wife's thesis from Princeton, look it up on the web. This is who's lining up to be our next First Lady? The only thing I can glean from Obama's constant harping about change is that we're in for a lot of new taxes.
For me, the choice is clear. I've looked carefully at the two leading applicants for the job, and I've made my choice.
Here's a question - "Where were you five and a half years ago? Around Christmas, 2002. You've had five or six birthdays in that time. My has grown from a sixth grade to a high school graduate. Five and a half years is a good chunk of time. About 2,000 days. 2,000 nights of sleep. 6,000 meals, give or take."
John McCain spent that amount of time, from 1967 to 1973, in a North Vietnamese prisoner-of-war camp.
When offered early release, he refused it. He considered this offer to be a public relations stunt by his captors, and insisted that those held longer than he should be released first. Did you get that part? He was offered his freedom, and he turned it down. A regimen of beatings and torture began.
Do you possess such strength of character? Locked in a filthy cell in a foreign country, would you turn down your own freedom in favor of your fellow man? I submit that's a quality of character that is rarely found, and for me, this singular act defines John McCain.
Unlike several presidential candidates in recent years whose military service is questionable or non-existent, you will not find anyone to denigrate the integrity and moral courage of this man. A graduate of Annapolis, during his Naval service he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross. His own is now serving in the Marine Corps in Iraq . Barack Obama is fond of saying "We honor John McCain's service...BUT...", which to me is condescending and offensive - because what I hear is, "Let's forget this man's sacrifice for his country, and his proven leadership abilities, and talk some more about change."
I don't agree with John McCain on everything - but I am utterly convinced that he is qualified to be our next President, and I trust him to do what's right. I know in my heart that he has the best interests of our country in mind. He doesn't simply want to be President - he wants to lead America, and there's a huge difference. Factually, there is simply no comparison between the two candidates. A man of questionable background and motives who prattles on about change, can't hold a candle to a man who has devoted his life in public service to this nation, retiring from the Navy in 1981 and elected to the Senate in 1982.
Perhaps Obama's supporters are taking a stance between old and new. Maybe they don't care about McCain's service or his strength of character, or his unblemished qualifications to be President. Maybe "likeability" is a higher priority for them than "trust". Being a prisoner of war is not what qualifies John McCain to be President of the United States of America - but his demonstrated leadership certainly DOES.
Dear friends, it is time for us to stand. It is time for thinking Americans to say, "Enough." It is time for people of all parties to stop following the party line. It is time for anyone who wants to keep America first, who wants the right man leading their nation, to start a dialogue with all their friends and neighbors and ask who they're voting for, and why.
There's a lot of evil in this world. That should be readily apparent to all of us by now. And when faced with that evil as we are now, I want a man who knows the cost of war on his troops and on his citizens. I want a man who puts my family's interests before any foreign country.
I want a President who's qualified to lead.
I want my country back, and I'm voting for John McCain.

Economists Statement On Barack Obama's Risky Economic Proposals
100 ECONOMISTS WARN THAT WITH CURRRENT WEAK FINANCIAL CONDITIONS BARACK OBAMA'S PROPOSALS RUN A HIGH RISK OF THROWING THE US ECONOMY INTO A DEEP RECESSION
ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, McCain-Palin 2008 released the following statement signed by 100 distinguished and experienced economists at major American universities and research organizations, including five Nobel Prize winners Gary Becker, James Buchanan, Robert Mundell, Edward Prescott, and Vernon Smith. The economists explain why Barack Obama's proposals, including "misguided tax hikes," would "decrease the number of jobs in America." The prospects of such tax rate increases under Barack Obama are already harming the economy. The economists conclude that "Barack Obama's economic proposals are wrong for the American economy. " The proposals "defy both economic reason and economic experience."
The full economists' statement on Barack Obama's economic proposals and a complete list of economists who support it follows:
Barack Obama argues that his proposals to raise tax rates and halt international trade agreements would benefit the American economy. They would do nothing of the sort. Economic analysis and historical experience show that they would do the opposite. They would reduce economic growth and decrease the number of jobs in America. Moreover, with the credit crunch, the housing slump, and high energy prices weakening the U.S. economy, his proposals run a high risk of throwing the economy into a deep recession. It was exactly such misguided tax hikes and protectionism, enacted when the U.S. economy was weak in the early 1930s, that greatly increased the severity of the Great Depression.
We are very concerned with Barack Obama's opposition to trade agreements such as the pending one with Colombia, the new one with Central America, or the established one with Canada and Mexico. Exports from the United States to other countries create jobs for Americans. Imports make goods available to Americans at lower prices and are a particular benefit to families and individuals with low incomes. International trade is also a powerful source of strength in a weak economy. In the second quarter of this year, for example, increased international trade did far more to stimulate the U.S. economy than the federal government's "stimulus" package.
Ironically, rather than supporting international trade, Barack Obama is now proposing yet another so-called stimulus package, which would do very little to grow the economy. And his proposal to finance the package with higher taxes on oil would raise oil prices directly and by reducing exploration and production.
We are equally concerned with his proposals to increase tax rates on labor income and investment. His dividend and capital gains tax increases would reduce investment and cut into the savings of millions of Americans. His proposals to increase income and payroll tax rates would discourage the formation and expansion of small businesses and reduce employment and take-home pay, as would his mandates on firms to provide expensive health insurance.
After hearing such economic criticism of his proposals, Barack Obama has apparently suggested to some people that he might postpone his tax increases, perhaps to 2010. But it is a mistake to think that postponing such tax increases would prevent their harmful effect on the economy today. The prospect of such tax rate increases in 2010 is already a drag on the economy. Businesses considering whether to hire workers today and expand their operations have time horizons longer than a year or two, so the prospect of higher taxes starting in 2009 or 2010 reduces hiring and investment in 2008.
In sum, Barack Obama's economic proposals are wrong for the American economy. They defy both economic reason and economic experience.
