Stories about the presence of God in our lives is what makes this life so interesting. I continue to believe that the irrational is more prevalent in life than the rational. How on earth could a God who loves us give us so many problems to untangle; so many wars to understand; so many challenges in our own personal lives; so many natural disasters that boggle our mind. Miracles are an every day occurence only if we see with the eyes of faith; only if we use the God-given radar that our faith allows us to comprehend.

China sending boat load of arms to ZImbabwe

It's outlandish that China is sending a boat load of arms to Zimbabwe. The election there was lost to the old dictator who is senile and now wanting to remain in power with arms. It's sad that China has no degree of morality whatsoever.

The South Africans at the Port where the boat is being unloaded are refusing to do their work. Good on them! Ports at cities of countries surrounding this land locked country are refusing to unload this controversial shipment of 77 tons of small arms and rounds of mortar and hand grenades. It's great that these workers have some morals and refuse to participate in this bloodbath about to occur.

It's about time countries stopped helping world class thugs control their populations with guns. Only more bloodshed will result from this shipment of arms-- and most definitely a terrible injustice perpetrated. The election results need to be published and the real winner take power!

Do you pray when you have lost something very important like three documents pertaining to your income tax file? Well I searched the table with all my papers and needed to find three documents that had to be faxed to my accountant. But lo an behold I could not for the life of me find them. I searched everywhere ( old age you, you know). I know my Catholic mother would pray to St Anthony every time she was searching for something lost. SO I said mother if you're up there ask St Anthony for me... then I asked the good lord to look too. Well just like that I found the three documents all stuck together and somehow they had gotten sandwiched in my bank statements! Halleluian and praise the Lord!

Free... free at last. Thank God almighty!

Help...I'm stuck in the snow!

If anyone has a tractor please come and plough me out! My tractor is still in for repairs. Both my old Chevy truck is stuck in the snow in my gigantic yard and my old van is stuck too. The driveway is 5 feet high in snow and no chance of it melting any time soon. What a day!!

I have been stuck for some three days now. After I posted a post this morning I have been unable to move on this site. I was stuck on the main page most of the day and only now after closing down and rebooting did I get on again. As Shakespeare says "when sorrows come they come not single spies but in battalions!"

I guess I should have used a biblical quote there... please forgive me! Or suggest one for me! I guess this is not my week at all. I was sent a letter in the mail from my doctor on Saturday to go and get my blood tested again. Seems they have reason to believe I might now have diabetes 2-- most likely because of all the cortisone shots I get for my arms-- plus the additional weight I have put on since my pinched nerve issue. DO I need prayer or what? I think so.

I hate to bother people again with all this prayer though. I'm sure some are sure to think I am a big sinner to be inviting all this trouble. Well, I'm no angel that is for sure.

So I really do need to get moving again. Hope everyone else is doing well. But if you have a tractor that works.... come on up!

God bless to all!

Vatican's introduction of new sins.......

So the Vatican has introduced a new list of seven mortal sins to supplement its traditional list of seven deadly sins. The seven deadly sins - lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, anger, envy and pride - were introduced in the 6th century under Pope Gregory and popularized by Dante in his famous Inferno. For centuries Catholics have been encouraged to substitute in their place the seven holy virtues: chastity, abstinence, temperance, diligence, patience, kindness and humility.

The Catholic Church is supplementing this list of seven deadly sins with seven new mortal sins: environmental pollution, genetic manipulation, accumulating excessive wealth, inflicting poverty, drug trafficking and consumption, participating in morally debatable experiments, and the violation of fundamental rights of human nature.

We do need to look carefully at all these new sins especially the one pertaining to our use of the environment. The world is slowly crumbling and we have only one planet on which to live for ourselves and our grandchildren. The one sin about wealth kind of bothers me though. I see nothing about the sin of power either. Seems to me the pope should take heed to his own words. He sits on the biggest amount of wealth in the world-- the Vatican. He has the biggest art gallery in the world. He could eliminate Aids in Africa with the sale of just a few treasures from the Vatican. In fact-- there are many wealthy people who do a great service to others with their money. Time for the pope to practice what he preaches and divest himself of all that wealth if he wants to preach poverty! When I left the Catholic church after serving for ten years they cut me a cheque for $200.00 . I don't begrudge the education I received but I did serve on the missions without pay for two years. THere was no pension for that either-- all monies were handed over to the church.

Time to practice what you preach!

Berlusconi in Italy treats women with disdain

The Italian Prime Minister has quite the attitude towards women in his country. Recently he said that the Spanish cabinet had too many women in it! He claims that women can do their work for the party by making cakes and staying home to care for the .

Women in Italy have it bad enough with their men being so macho and sexist. But now the Prime Minister seems to think he only reflects society's attitude towards the women. What on earth is going on?

Perhaps the Catholic Church might have something to do with this.... perhaps not. But certainly I don't see the Vatican allowing for the ordination of women all too soon. Mind you it's it's the congregations of sisters that are leading much of the change occuring in the Catholic Church these days, not the clergy.

Polygamist Church in Texas and allegations......

It sure is strange to me. DNA testing to see if there has been inbreeding and all the rest. Virgin girls of 15 being married off to men in their late 50's. All of this under a church calling itself Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints?

I have to shake my head a little bit to see if I can get my head around all this. I have no idea how it all gets justified in the name of Jesus.

Maybe there is someone out there who can help educate me. Personally, this is a major problem in need of a lot of prayer and a lot more of law enforcement.

"A Little Mouse At The Pearly Gates"

A little mouse died and went to the Pearly Gates where St. Peter met him and invited to come in, but the mouse told him he wanted to look around first. St Peter said that was okay with him.

After looking around the mouse approached St. Peter and told him he would like to stay but it is too big there and he would get tired running around all day. St. Peter thought for awhile and said he had just the thing for him, a pair of roller skates so the mouse decided to stay.

Soon a cat died and went to the Pearly Gates where St. Peter met him and invited him in also, the cat wanted to look around too. After spotting the mouse on roller skates the cat said, "Boy oh boy, you have meals on wheels I will stay."

Prince Harry should know better........

Although I was born in England, I'm no fan of Royalty! I see today that Prince Harry who was in Afghanistan as a soldier last month was taken to task in England for flying a British helicopter onto the lawn of his girl friend. Of course tax payers are furious that it cost a mere $20,000.00 for this little bit of romance.

The time has come in my view for Britain to end the Monarchy. Such a waste of money and for what? Too much glitter and gold. America did the right thing and became a republic. Time for England to shed the monarchy!

Anyone out there in the farming community who can offer advice as to what to do with my newly acquired tractor? The power steering is gone and I am a zero at mechanics. So if anyone is out there and can lend a hand--- please let me know what to do.

Otherwise if you have no idea what I am talking about-- please say a prayer that I can solve this problem or sell it!

Thanks and God bless you all!

Whatever happened to Mom T, Wingy and many others who have left B.C.?

I am saddened to learn this weekend of the departure of so many people I enjoyed here at B.C. I notice that Mom T has left. Wingy has also gone. I would always enjoy their comments and getting to know them. Mom T actually gave me incredibly good advice on my poor old back-- and with the Epsom salts one night it actually worked! I got instant relief--- even if it was for only a few days with that muscle spasm. I would always enjoy reading Wingy's comments and chatting with her through our blogs. It just seems so crazy that they have gone.

A few weeks ago Blanche from Seasons of Life3 also left. Just like a puff of wind!

It is so sad to see people leave our church. There has to be a reason. I believe people get hurt here and there is no one to pick up the pieces-- especially after they leave. This troubles me and we should all pray for them at the very least. Does anyone agree with me?
